  1. Another useful website from you,but seems missing this part:
  2. I did experienced this problem, but they are PF IR remote. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kGymBN283Bs&list=UUZP7UwSKY08Yxt0LIe7xR0A&feature=c4-overview
  3. Happen to me twice when testing Zblj's Rock crawler Panther......2 rc motors with 7.4v
  4. Over Power..... No U-joint broken?
  5. Some says lego PF are made in China since it was developed......lego quality has been nerfed.
  6. Nice job, however this design will lose the fake engine
  7. The rc motor max current is 3.2A,about 1.4A in normal loading. The V1 limit at 400mA per port so it can't really handle a rc motor(it still work but can't go to full speed). The V2 can handle 1.5A per port so it is just perfect with one rc motor. However, the lego standard battery box has a current protection. -AA 850mA max -AAA 400mA max -Lipo 1A (also 850mA,but lower voltage allow more current) Although current is limited, but it will still be able to working with more motors http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ef9aFt9grk The buggy in the video,I used 2 Lipo bbox with 4 rc motors+1 M motor for steering.Still working pretty well. All data from philo... http://www.philohome.com/motors/motorcomp.htm http://www.philohome.com/batteries/bat.htm http://www.philohome.com/pfrec/pfrec.htm
  8. I guess it doesn't working because of the current protection inside the battery box.Although it works for me even with 2 rc motors at the same time(same port on IR).....
  9. 1. Sorry about bugs and missing in the old LDD file.I just used 5 hours to make an update one which include a lot of improvement. www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Sunnykoo/lego-9397/rc-model/9397_instructions.lxf (updated 30.9.2013) note* n.1: Due to LDD bug, please place the green 8 tooth gear into the green axle while you build it. n.2: 2 version of steering include, which allow user can choose M or servo for steering. 2. Sorry, not yet due to I am very busy in this year. 3. Every builders start from a newbie and learning skills by using ideas from other builders, lucky lego don't have copyright
  10. I have did something similar some months ago but I got some error with the video so I set it into non-public.And....got no time to edit a new one. Thank you for watching the video and I would like to ask what errors are inside the LDD file?
  11. Thank you for this useful information. But I have a request, can you test the max current output of the rc unit?
  12. I am sad that I don't have a EB account in 2012 True! Kwon choose to use 2 motors and I choose to geardown.
  13. Hi,I have build a lightweight buggy too and here is a little bit of sharing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ef9aFt9grk 4x rc-motors for drivetrain (kinda overkill ) steering by M motor with mini linear actuator, based on MiklosRabi design 2x Lipo bbox and 2x IR-V2 ( IR-V1 can't move) http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=530442 P.S. this monster already destroyed and a big thanks to Mahj for help!
  14. Really nice jobs with mechanical for balancing the robot to walk! Want to take it home...
  15. Sorry to tell you that "his experience" is actually me,not Kwon. Kwon is Korea. Anyway, here are more experience about lego electric stuff goes into water, all work fine after dry. Note that I am NOT the driver in the last video! Hope useful for all of you
  16. I had open it before and it it more powerful than the new servo motor because it uses warm gear
  17. 1. It is because of the PF design. Using a 8886 extension wire will make power goes to C1,C2 lines. However servo motor take power from 9V/0V and receive signal from C1,C2 lines due to it special design.Sames as the PF IR recevier. *normal motor takes power from C1,C2 lines so they work fine. *Data from philo. 2. Yes. 3. Theoretically it should works. But maybe cause overload problem. 4. I tried to open too but fail. But I found this in google photo.Hope it help
  18. Sorry for all late reply due to I just make the account 10 mins before. That is my friend and he did pulling the wire to help.I am the cameraman at the time. I do nothing with the motor because brush motor are waterproof... P.S.: The M motor which go diving last year is still working ...just make sure to make it dry after use Mine didn't do any waterproofing but still working.....just a little bit noisy than before I guess his motor rust because he didn't make them dry after use.
