no there's no wire inside, I've heated it up a bit (just by rubbing it with a piece of cloth) before I did the bend in it, I found it keeps it shape much better like that when you don't have a wire at hand

As promised, my version of the Union Pacific EMD SD70. A lot of the build is the same as the BNSF version I did but there are some differences. Looking at the BNSF version they are easy to spot. Getting the last few pieces took longer than expected, hence the delay in building her. And putting the stickers was a real pain in the you know what. But I'm really satisfied on how she turn up in the end. MOC UP EMD SD70 by Barduck12, on Flickr

The DDA is going to get scrapped in favor of building the SD-70 in UP livery too

She could go faster (was only at step 4 on the controller at end of video) but i dare not.

video: running on standard LEGO tracks, curves, switches and a section of flextrack

Thx for the comments all. As for her length, she's 66 studs long (magnet to magnet) and actually only 1 stud longer than my SD-60 ( https://www.flickr.c...157641079372804 ) which has no problems with standard LEGO curves or switches so I don't think the SD-70 should have any. Will do a video when I find the time. Powerwise, with 2 PF train motors under her belly she should be more than strong enough to pull a decent amount of cars

The WIP can be found here: http://www.eurobrick...opic=122501&hl= She's finally all done (well, actually only missing her number on the side): MOC BNSF SD-70 by Barduck12, on Flickr

reclaimed UP coach by Barduck12, on Flickr What to put on sticker to go on the sign? Was thinking of "Food Train"

So, in other words, if you'd use 2 of these you really shouldn't have any problems with power falling down. As with your switches, I'd take a dozen
-
I'm just not sure what to do with the open space on the left side (looking at it). Was thinking maybe a gravel like parking space. And there needs to be a sign too but where to put it
-
I designed it so that the coach isn'nt actually attached to the surface so adding trucks to it won't be a problem

That video scares the s**t out of me, having her run so close to edges. Never thought, "this time she's going to run of it"?

WIP Golden temple of Elista by Barduck12, on Flickr really starting to look like something

thx, I try it's snot, snot and more snot. With every piece that's getting smaller it has been try and error to get to that look Made a fast cut out of a tower, doesn't show everything but should be enough to see how WIP Golden temple of Elista by Barduck12, on Flickr

First of let me start with saying, I don't know if this one is a proper topic to put in Historic Themes so if it needs to be moved, moderators; please do. My girlfriend, who's from Elista, a small replublic that is part of the Russian Federation, asked me to try and do a moc of the Golden temple, a Boeddhist temple in the capital (Elista). It is the largest Boeddist temple in Russia and Europa and inside stand one of the largest Boeddha statues in the world, towering 9 meters high. For the moment I'm doing it in LDD as building it in real bricks will take a lot of time, not to mention, money. Allready at 12k bricks and not even half done. You can see the real building in this link: http://www.kalmykia.eu/elista/ the WIP so far: WIP Golden temple of Elista by Barduck12, on Flickr comments, tips, all welcome. It is my first time I try my hand at something this big so please, be gentle

I actually had this coaling tower in my favourites, from a ho layout I found on the internet, to build myself when I'm doing my layout. Really nicely done dude
