Well, that's pretty subjective, but I do personally prefer it for a Toa of Water. I've grown rather attached to Mata Blue for lightning characters ever since Surge. Her color is dark azure, a shade darker than the Azure seen in Thornraxx and the IFB beasts. It's a very clear comparison when looking at the Gali image next to the LDD color palette.

That is indeed the flaw in that logic. Taking away an axle is one thing, adding pins is another.

Yeah... from a set design perspective I find it somewhat fresh and interesting (depending on the head piece), but from a MoCing perspective it's pretty terrible. I'm holding out hope that the lack of an axle connection is just for CGI purposes and won't actually be like that on the sets, because a lot of the Toa/Protector masks look like they have an injection point in the front. That being said, while I can make a case for them taking away an axle for the turnaround, I can't really think of a reason to ADD the clip on connection unless it's an actual function. :/

Would you prefer a different hype vehicle, such as a hype plane? Perhaps a hype submarine? What if it's just changed to "Hype Locomotive? :P Also mask looks cool. Disappointed no official set images. Not sure how to feel about new mask attachment. That's going to hurt MoCing.

I assume what you mean is a longer "series", since the average episode length would remain the same. :P In which case, yeah, that's always true. BIONICLE's a very different thing to handle than Hero Factory because HF's specials amounted to little more than glorified commercials by the end of things. A hypothetical BIONICLE show would be a more plot-driven series and has the potential to be handled with far more care; Ghost's last outing just didn't leave me with a good impression.

Yeah, I'll concur that it's probably to do with accessibility. Truth be told, I do understand Lego's point of view when it comes to that issue. It's just a bit of a shame; nobody knew what a Toa was back when BIONICLE initially launched. They learned over time; it was one of the things I enjoyed about BIONICLE. It wasn't afraid to introduce new terminology to its audience and didn't underestimate their ability to grasp the meanings of its terminology. It's a little disheartening (although not unexpected) that may be going away to a degree. ALSO, in regards to the BIONICLE TV show conversation: I'll say it right now, I would prefer a 2D animated show over anything 3D. The reason I say this is because I don't have too much faith in any particular group to handle a BIONICLE show well (or, at least, anybody from Lego's current partner groups). I THINK the Ninjago team is the only one of Lego's current partners that could potentially pull it off. Ninjago is outstanding, and while a lot of fans probably would have some issues with aspects of it, I feel that it would eventually grow on people and could become a large success. However, I don't see Lego tasking those people with creating a constraction TV show for some reason. Anything's possible, I suppose. I wouldn't want Tinseltown Toons to be responsible for it, personally. I enjoyed TLR and the Hero Factory specials but they're not what I'm looking for in a potential BIONICLE show. Ghost lost any faith I may have had in them with the train wreck that was Invasion from Below, although I suppose they could probably pull it off IF they were given a high enough budget.

Agreed; I would prefer if the figures focused on looking aesthetically pleasing rather than trying to incorporate functions into their design, HOWEVER... ...I can't exactly hold Lego at fault for attempting to do this. It's a bold move, and will surely win over many people to the new BIONICLE considering the community's love for gear functions. If they want to take risks, I'm more than happy to let them, even if it means dealing with some exposed ball joints here and there. :P

I'll chime in on the discussion from slightly earlier to say the Ignition Trilogy is my favorite sequence from BIONICLE (sets AND story). But that's just me

I keep seeing people say that... but I believe that logic isn't factually sound. Every piece of information and every name translation we've received regarding the Lewa set says "Master of Jungle." Even David Thomsen's set list from a while back that first (AND CORRECTLY) referred to the Defenders as "Protectors" labeled one as the "Protector of Jungle." I don't believe he is actually a Master of Wind; I think it's a case of misreading the blurry display image. :P

My gallery hasn't been deleted (yet); I just think Majhost went down for a little bit earlier, lol.

Hmm, it's possible Majhost was down for a short while. Regardless, I'm able to load the page perfectly fine. :D

Hooray, somebody else that shares my opinions. ....Oh yeah. You're right; dark tan armor shells DO exist. WELL, Pohatu just became quite a lot easier to modify. To Bricklink I go!

Well, from what I've gathered it's mainly due to the fact that the general community has already deduced that BIONICLE will be returning so they don't see the need for an "official announcement" rather than any disdain for the line as a whole (although I'm sure that plays a part as well). The actual constraction community, on the other hand, STILL has people that are skeptical and are waiting for such an "official announcement," so it would benefit Lego greatly to end all this speculation and just confirm the theme's return. :P

I have not a clue. The only possible explanation I can think of is that he has a secondary weapon that he stores on his back (much like Evo from Brain Attack).

1. "Omega" was actually a TTV joke that spiraled out of control quite fast. XD 2. For what it's worth, placing my statements here now: Onua is my favorite Toa out of the bunch.

Nor was I implying otherwise! From all indications, BIONICLE 2015 is going to have quite a lot of effort put forth towards making it a success. I was merely stating it's possible that the original reveal for the theme was to be a grand unveiling at NYCC, but since the leaks have somewhat ruined that, Lego may have decided to formally announce the line's return ahead of time while the sets are being discussed to a large degree.

LOL, I chuckled. I've been getting an odd feeling it reminded me of some bootleg but I couldn't remember which one. That's great.

WELL... The Guurahk staff is more recent than most BIONICLE pieces, having last appeared in the Rahkshi Stars. It doesn't surprise me too much that it would reappear; unfortunately, I doubt many more will.

Well, my theory includes the possibility of a singular set reveal until NYCC (of course, assuming it is BIONICLE). If anyone, it would probably be a finalized Tahu.

I may be completely mistaken in assuming this as I don't really have any evidence to suggest this is the case, but it seems plausible to me that this is a spur-of-the-moment announcement by Lego in response to the recent leaks, and the intended (and full) announcement would still take place at Comic Con. It would explain the sudden, out of nowhere appearance of this announcement and the somewhat convenient timing of it taking place right after set leaks. So yeah, quite similar to what Timeline said. Picture this hypothetical scenario: Friday: Announcement of theme's return, one HQ finalized picture, "more details soon..." NYCC: Full unveiling of entire wave (or, at least, all of the Toa), story and media (TV show) details.

I will say this about Gali's Kaukau: Gali has NEVER had a faithful translation of her mask. Her Nuva mask was... polarizing on a good day, and her Mistika mask was loathed by mostly everybody. This mask, in comparison, is pretty good! I have few issues with it. I will concede that I prefer her Mata mask, though. :P

This whole situation is quite odd. My Walmart only ever stocked Evo Walker, Jaw Beast, Jet Machine, Splitter Beast, and XL Machine from the first IFB wave. My local Target only ever stocked Jet Machine, Stealth Machine, and XL Machine. Now, my Walmart completely cleansed their stock of the first wave and only carry Rocka Crawler, Tunneler Beast, Flea Machine, Combat Machine, and Queen Beast (so, to their credit, a fairly large assortment). My Target, on the other hand, retained their stock from the first wave and only carry the Combat Machine and Queen Beast. I also have no other stores in my local area that stock these sets. Just those two. ;____;
