No cookies? Darn! Well, you certainly know how to draw attention! Welcome to Eurobricks SuperChris and enjoy your stay. I'm sure the new Harry Potter sets coming out will thrill you!

By weird I kind of meant 'outcast' from the whole line. The Technic series is so often overlooked simply because it's not System, and all the other sets are, if you get what I mean. That's interesting, I never thought the reason it is so stable is because it's light. Looking at pictures, I thought it was bound to collapse any second. but I'll take your word for it.
-
Awesome review def. You've provided a nice insight into the silly little thing. I always found the Technic line to be so weird, and this droid seemed much more unstable to me than it is according to your review. However, it still has something to be desired. On the other hand, I really like the alternate model. Thanks for the review of this uncommon set, it's not very often I get to learn a lot about a set like this.

Awesome review as always, starstreak. Your pictures are so high-quality it's almost unbelievable, and your Photoshopping is flawless. The comparison shots are great, and really show how much better the newer version is. I like the set itself quite a bit, but it seems a tad expensive for the parts, and I want to spend a little less this year. However, the minifigs are great and the set is very sleek. I think I can resist, but at least the decision will be easier with informative reviews like yours. Thanks for the insight into this set.

Well, since Mos Eisley has claimed a Stormtrooper over in the other thread, I would like a Stormtrooper myself! I will send a PM shortly.
-
Since it seems Mos Eisley has chosen the EB Stormtrooper, I would like the Captain Antilles Minifig please, Mr. KimT. I will PM my address shortly.
-
I was keeping a tally, at the last time I updated, he had 82 points. I'm still amazed that my 16 points got second. That's probably the biggest difference there has been or ever will be. Way to blow out the competition Mos Eisley. Your entry was conceived Most Wisely.
-
Made my day right there. Well, if you have your heart set, I could always take two Stormtroopers. Naw, I really would like an Antilles too. No pressure Mos Eisley!
-
Congrats Mos_Eisley and JimButcher! Mos, you had the most stunning entry imaginable. It's no surprise that you won. Jimbee, you also did a great job with the Gunship. Thanks to everyone who voted for me, and to all the contestants, and of course, Mr. KimT himself for hosting. In terms of prizes, as I mentioned in the other thread, I'm going for a Stormtrooper and an Antilles. If Mos takes a Stormtrooper, I'll take Antilles here and the Stormtrooper in the vignette. If he takes Antilles here, I'll take the reverse. Thanks for a great contest guys! (Yay! 700th post!)
-
Awesome contest guys! I honestly had no idea I would win, I almost didn't enter because I didn't think my entry was that good. I guess I was wrong- by a lot! Thanks to everyone who voted for me, I couldn't have done it without you! I would like to give a round of applause for KimT for running the contest. It's been a great way to challenge my creativity and skills, and have fun in the process. Also, congrats to the other contestants who did an excellent job and kept it close the whole time. I would like to specifically congratulate the other winners Pellaeon and Big Brick for you fantastic entries. In terms of prizes, ideally I would like to get an Antilles and a Stormtrooper. I'm going to wait for Mos Eisley to pick his in the Xmasficator, so since I get second pick there and first here, it should work. I was actually keeping a tally of my own, and last time I compared with the voting threads, I was in 4th in the Landspeeder by one vote. It kind of scary, thinking that I could have ended up with every prize. Now I can finally take the vignette out of the freezer! (for some reason, I was paranoid that I might need it for some reason)

Wonderful work, gcarstensen! I don't visit this forum very often, but your creation jumped out at me. I love the fact that it is so sleek and clean, and utilizes SNOT techniques so flawlessly. You've also created lots of interesting jumper plate techniques and used many pieces creatively. I honestly can't think of anything that could make your MOC better. Terrific work!
-
Happy Birthday! Thanks for contributing such excellent reviews and MOCs, and I hope you have another excellent year of Lego.
-
Awesome MOC Matn! You've captured the feeling of the scene very well, much better than I did in my Silver Doe scene. The plate technique, trees, and tent are all excellent and clean. My only suggestion would be to make them both look wetter and possibly colder in some way. Otherwise, excellent work!

Star Wars The Clone Wars Season 2 Discussion
Inconspicuous replied to DarthSion's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Darn I screwed up again. Why don't I just say that it was a bad episode, ok? I actually liked Bombad Jedi much more than this one, and I can't honestly think of an episode that was worse except for Senate Spy. Sorry for the confusion. -

C'mon, it's Star Wars, only the best is good enough! But seriously, on its own, it's average, but compared to other episodes it's not great, if you get my meaning. -

You're welcome. I believe it is a two parter, since many of the images from the season trailer are not in the episode trailer, like the spider/assasin droid thing and the palace in space. -
Awesome job, Shtick. The faces are just perfect, and even though I don't watch the show too much, I was able to instantly recognize them. I love the sword-swinging machine, it's awesome that it actually spins. I think it would be hilarious if you built the Lego ball experiment, with a randomly-colored, not prefect ball. That would be hilarious. Great work!

Absolutely stunning TinyPies! I would definitely buy this set if it were real, even though it's a "preliminary image". I think you captured everything very well. The wine cabinet is win and the minifigs are spot on. The only thing I would change is the fireplace. The design is fine, but the flames inside look a little weird. I think the new flame pieces would be better suited. Otherwise, flawless MOC!

Star Wars The Clone Wars Season 2 Discussion
Inconspicuous replied to DarthSion's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I really didn't like this week's episode at all. It had an okay plot, but it was just average. But I can't wait for next week! The Mandos look awesome in the trailer. And Commander Flash, I watched it with closed captioning, and the Chancellor is talking about that the Jedi have been keeping peace and he wants a law passed to help them. It's supposed to be ironic. -
Absolutely stunning MOC kris kelvin! Everything is so detailed and fits together so well. I love some of the wall, bricking, and roof techniques on the Saloon and Hotel. Wonderful work, I hope to see some more Western Dioramas from you in the future.

What're your favorite and least favorite Star Wars sets?
Inconspicuous replied to Loco de Lego's topic in LEGO Star Wars
My two favorites 10123 Cloud City and 10188 Death Star. None of the other sets were so classic and incomparable than these. The Death Star is so massive and detailed, but Cloud City packs so much detail and utility cleanly into a "small" $100 set, not to mention stunning figs. -
I can't wait for the results! It's been a very close race, with the exception of Mos Eisley, who blew out the competition in that category. Great job to all that entered, now all we can do is wait.

Star Wars The Clone Wars Season 2 Discussion

The episodes look good. I can't wait, since they keep delaying the episodes. Bring on the Mandalorians! -
I agree with what is said about the pier and the polka-dot walls. It's obviously still a WIP but I feel something is off. Maybe I find it a little odd that this gigantic fortress is on a tiny island. I was really impressed by the base but when the fort was added, I was a little let down. However, I'm confident that your changes will greatly benefit it. I'm looking forward to the completion.

Guide: How to use BB Code acronyms
Inconspicuous replied to Legoliner Pilot's topic in Forum Information and Help
Interesting tutorial, Legoliner Pilot. In regular posts, I can't find much use, but I think it might work well in signatures and reviews. I see that Big Cam has already updated his signature, and I think I will soon. Thanks.
