  1. Happy Birthday Svelte! I wish you lots of Modular Madness this next year. I'm glad to here that your day has improved from its minor mishaps.
  2. Looks awesome Captain Blackmoor! It was definitely worth the wait. Thanks a bunch. I can't wait to be dazzled by the legs too!
  3. I remember buying this set as a little kid. Ah.. the memories. I always loved this set, since Boba and Han in carbonite were two of my favorite minifigs. I also liked the Gamorrean, but not as much as the other two. Anyways, great review Rufus! I feel like you've covered the set in depth, but not too detailed either. Thanks.
  4. Looking at the pictures, I can say there are some great things that pop out at me! I personally love the new printed, five sided Grievous cockpit, and I think the new carbonite mold is wonderful. However, the turbo tank looks so much like the old one, except for bigger wheels, new minifigs, and slightly sleeker. Palpatine's Shuttle has a cool feature, but otherwise it's not sleek, oddly colored, and just not very interesting. Unless they drastically improve some aspect of it, I think it will turn out very
  5. Lovely little scene, The Alchemyst! I admit, I didn't get it for a while, but when I did, I found it hilarious. brickme, I believe the joke is that Lego pillows aren't soft, and one minifig injured another. Nice MOC with an underlying joke.
  6. The new minifigs still look good. However, I'm a bit disappointed with what we've seen of the second wave. I really hope these things don't have cheap Chinese plastic, that would ruin the whole idea. And also, I believe it has been officially said that these minifigs would never become part of an official line. Do I see a Circus Ringmaster and a Mime curving around the corner?
  7. Happy Birthday Oky! Enjoy your special (and hopefully Lego-filled) day!
  8. I would love a bar scene, tank, or Grail temple! X Inconspicuous
  9. I have favorite themes that I'm more biased towards buying, but I judge sets on minifigs, accuracy, and design. I don't part out any of my sets, so pieces isn't a concern to me, and play functions aren't a must either. Price isn't a huge deal either, unless it's way overpriced, and even then it's not a huge problem. Since I review a lot, I find that the number ratings I get rarely match my personal opinion. I presume this is due to the fact that playability and price aren't a huge deal to me.
  10. Just finished watching Voyage of Temptation and I was impressed and let down at the same time. The episode was well-constructed as a whole, but it felt too choppy at times, and felt kind of rushed. Also, I was disappointed that so much of the plot was already given away. Between the episode trailer, and the original season trailer, as well as clues from the last episode, nothing was a surprise and I essentially knew how everything would unfold. The one thing that I wasn't expecting was the Duchess' and Obi Wan's arguing. I like the Duchess because it's not too often that we get a competent, complex, female character that isn't in the movies. Now for the Coronet, the Duchess' ship, what we saw from the last episode left something to be desired, but I actually liked it more after seeing it in more detail, and on the inside. I wouldn't really want it as a Lego set, since the only unique parts would be the assassin droids and the Duchess' guards. If they make a set from this trilogy, it would of course have to include Mandalorians. Overall, a nicely constructed but I-saw-it-coming episode.
  11. I have an American Passport and have been to Mexico (twice), Canada (once), Italy (once), India (twice), and a brief stopover in Germany on the way to Italy. I remember buying some Legos in the airport in Germany, ones that didn't come out for a few months back in the US. I thought it was the coolest thing that they had Lego in airports in Europe.
  12. Then everyone in the Star Wars forum will start calling him "Poggle". Congrats Big Cam, enjoy that red star!
  13. Awesome customs, Thunder-blade! I like how you've combined accurate designs and functionality at the same time. Some are a little rough, but otherwise, they're great!
  14. Sign me up! I've played one game and watched two, so I think I can handle whatever complications you throw our way. Looks great!
  15. Awesome! I've never seen the incorporation of backgrounds like that before! It's not the most action-packed movie ever, but it has a decent plot and the animating is superb. I'm definitely looking forward to the next episodes. Great work!
  16. The hardest set to build for me was the Jawa Sandcrawler. The huge behemoth has a base that is one plate thick! It took me several attempts to get it to hold the weight, and involved reinforcing the set with my own pieces. It was a really bad experience. I had a similar experience with the original Millennium Falcon, but I was building it on carpet and I was 5 years old. My parents video-taped me opening the box. I cringe every time I watch that video, watching the little me rip the front cover off the box. The base collapsed the same way the Sandcrawler one did. In more recent times, I don't think I've had too much trouble.
  17. Wow, that's really cool! The effect is perfect. I know that if I attempt any Western MOCs, I'll use this for sure! Thanks.
  18. Fantastic Maxifig Ar Sparfel! I am simply speechless. The torso detailing is fantastic and the helmet is spot on. I bet that took an incredible amount of orange to build. Awesome job!
  19. Indeed, I did beat you Cutlass Iz! I can also confirm that you have the correct extra pieces.
  20. This weeks episode was plain awesome! I always knew that this trio would be great, and seeing this week's episode and next week's trailer definitely lead me to believe I was right. I agree that the Coronet was plain ugly, not so much for the Mandalorian transport. For some reason, the helmets look weird to me without the side antenna. (I guess I've been looking at Boba too much!) Otherwise, the Mandalorians were spot on. I really like the Duchess' character, and it's nice to have a non-Jedi, non-main character woman, that can actually fight and has thorough motivations. I'm sick of Padme getting falling for traps, and Anakin rescuing her. It's so nice to have a competent female, who also seems to be tempting Obi Wan. Overall, plenty of action, plot, and amazing-ness that I really hope is in the next two episodes. 10/10 Great episode!
  21. Awesome Sir Gecko! I love the concept and you've executed it very nicely. The poses are spot on and the details are fantastic. That fence in the background is cool too. Great MOC.
  22. For fun the other day, I built a Houdini Chinese Water Torture Cell out of Lego, and I wanted to do something interesting with it. Well, this is what I came up with! (I wasn't sure where this belonged, so if this isn't its proper home, please move it Mods. Thanks.) It's pretty much self explanatory. Sorry about the editing, it's not the best. I hope you like it! I'd love your comments and criticism. Inky
  23. Cute little MOC you have here cralegoboy. It's nicely executed and you captured the idea well. The knight's face is spot on! However, I'm not sure they had theaters with boxes back then! Overall, cool work.
  24. I can't stop listening to . It's a twelve-page duet I'm learning on the guitar right now, and it's just so darn catchy.
  25. Wow! That's one huge list you've compiled. A+ for effort! Although it is incredibly unlikely all these sets will ever be made, I'm sure if lego gets a Tolkien license that all of their sets will be somewhere on your list. However, it's also unlikely that they would pursue the license, unless they do it around the release of the Hobbit movie. (Please Lego! ) I am a fan of building LOTR MOCs, big and small, and I can say that if I ever need inspiration or ideas, I'm coming to this list! You've covered everything that could ever be turned into Lego, so anywhere I look I can find good ideas. Awesome job on this, thanks.
