  1. Nerwen spends some time answering her mail. Dear Mizuki. I remember you fondly. Both our quest to end the dark general and later conversations in the hall. Here is a Dragon scale which you may find useful. Quel Yenearsira, Nerwen Raider. Your generosity belies your lack of preparation. I fear you may find me rather different when next we meet, my path has taken a strange turn. But your gifts will still be useful. I reply in kind, knowing you always enjoy a drink. Quel Yenearsira, Nerwen. A Grand potion, Dragon Scale and Mead accompanied Nerwen's note. Quel Yenearsira, Alexander. I wish you good hunting this season. And for those things that hunt you, I enclose a smoke bomb that you may find safer ground to strike from. Nerwen Taking a fresh parchment she wrote Dear Lawerence. This is a time of celebration, and knowing how you prefer to do that, I have enclosed a particularly fine Mulled wine we recently looted from some hairy Vikings. Enjoy it in good health. Tell Barty hello and do not let him steal your present. We will have much to talk about when I see you next. Quel Yenearsira, Nerwen Finally with a heavier heart, she wrote another letter To Hestia Bonaparte. My Lady. I wish you Quel Yenearsira, and pray that this letter finds you well with you and your husband finding some cheer this season. I had hoped in time to train with your guards as a cannoneer, but I now must walk a different path. I send you these Barbarian’s Boots (Restoration; footwear) and Grogmas Handcannon (WP:12 + the number of the round of battle) knowing that you will find better use for them than I. Particularly with the waters northwards becoming more dangerous. I remain, however, a stalwart ally of you and yours. Nerwen Calmcacil, Hero of Heroica, Ear'quessir of the Wind Thief.
  2. Nerwen thinks a while. She had quested with several paladins. Cronk, Maurice, Lawerence.I will carry your seal and bring light to those that need it, striking down those who fail the light. All shall love me and despair. Admit it Zeph, you just want to see Paladin!Nerwen...
  3. Nerwen stood quietly, listening. She caught Gocklo's eye and winked before she spoke up. I have done right and I have done good. I have taken a stand against deceitful sorceresses and Dark Generals. I have battled lying dragons and usurping brothers. I have fought demons, abominations and the godless. I have enlightened the blinded and lead the fearful. If you seek a champion, I am here.
  4. With a soft pop, another z-mail message materialised in front of Nerwen. She unfolded the note to read. Since she had parchment out ready while she pondered who she would write to, it was quick work to write a reply. Quel Yenearsira, Ohtar Naugri, In elvish the word which would translate as hope is esteluva. It conveys not a mere wish but an sure and eager expectation of good coming to pass. In this, be comforted. I count you friend and I am at least as well as you. Better, perhaps, given the tone of your note. I have included a mulled wine, which should cheer and warm you for a little while. I look forward to hearing of your further quests and the advancements you make in understanding yourself and others. Until then, Merry Grogmas.
  5. Yes! Let's see the bad pretzel!
  6. The distinctive pop of a new z-mail message echoed across the party. Nerwen read the note. Now we have even more reason to go shopping.
  7. Then all he needs is a portal pocket (sends items placed in it to one specific place and time) and then there'd be an actual in-universe justification for the metric ton of cores dropping out of the ceiling on him...
  8. Plus summer holidays, daughters's birthday, Christmas prep and pregnant wife! Nerwen bows low. Stars shine on our meeting your Majesty. I have journeyed along these shores before, though it was a long time ago. I know the land can be bleak and it's men hard. But also that, just as the land has surprising beauty, it's people are loyal friends. We would be loyal friends to you if you would have us so.
  9. Indeed Sir Ablesword. And I do share some of your ideas. But my point remains. The lust for treasure so e have is a lever to push them in certain directions.
  10. Nerwen grinned a wide grin. Ah. You are precious. I agree gold itself is fairly dull. But you saw what it does to men's minds. Saw what it did to Guts and Sir Ablesword. That my small friend is power. And power is never boring.
  11. Do not forget, Jess, once you have fought another battle you will be able to equip a third artifact. Smiling at the hunched witch hunter, Did you earn yourself some gold fighting those Vikings?
  12. Sir Ablesword, Perhaps you might lend Miss Islanti your Medal of Glory? She is the least experienced of our party and did not benefit greatly from the fight with the Vikings. You do not seem to be using it. She turned to Gocklo Is there somewhere we might restock out supplies?
  13. Nerwen looked at the grinning man steadily. So we are to serve as your enforcers and site guards?
  14. Rowing to shore, Nerwen spoke quietly to Hoke. I am not apologizing on behalf of Guts, we both know he is a stubborn, proud and prickly man. He knows the end of his time is coming. That is, I think, the one thing he fears. I tell you this not to gather sympathy for him but to reassure you. It was not personal. Your division was fair and the points you made regarding who killed what were accurate. You will lead well. Have confidence. You have my support, skill and wisdom at your call. You need only ask.
  15. Nerwen inclined her head toward Guts. I have led parties enough times to know dividing spoils is the hardest part. And it is made harder when the party disagrees. We will be going seperate ways after this, will it make your leadership of your party untenable if you give ground here? For I cannot see Ablesword leading Benji and Jess well if he does not assert his authority here.
  16. Guts. Nerwen said softly, I know you would be annoyed if others tried to take your role away from you. There is nothing wrong with your distribution, but as second in command, co-leader or whatever, it is not your call. This boy is young and still earning his stripes. He will make mistakes. Upsetting half the rogues here may well be one of them. But one cannot learnt from mistakes unmade. Regardless of my views on the merits of each breakdown, I must support Sir Ablesword. Nerwen moves to stand beside Hoke.
  17. Nerwen stayed silent during Illidra's banter with Attina. Her reputation with the Bonepartes was already secure, even if she could not speak openly of the circumstances that lead to it. I would expect that, not having the Boneparte's gratitude, we have yours, Captain. She wandered over to Guts, drawing a finger across the bare skin exposed by the hole in the back of Guts armour. You have my appreciation, Raider.
  18. What is the interaction between a permanent effect. (Eg, Nerwen's Minotaur axe perma-slow) and tiger balm (removes negative effects). Please Father Grogmas, Nerwen would like a scroll of slowed...
  19. Nerwen uses scroll of fragile on Sailor Gocklo Stealthy attacks Ognar.
  20. Nerwen heals Sir Ablesword Gocklo launches a fire spell at Gombur from the back row.
  21. Nerwen heals Alexandre Gocklo attacks Gombur using stealthy battle style
  22. My assistance was only ever meant as an aid, not as an attempt to usurp command or shame Sir Ablesword.
  23. Nerwen heals Illidra Gocklo stealthy pillager C
  24. Nerwen repeats Gocklo repeats (unless overruled by hoke) I'm outside wifi for next seven days. So I will be even patchier than last week! Sorry.
  25. Whelp J wasn't in the battle when Whelp I got SP. therefore shouldn't have SP? Nerwen nods in satisfaction as the threads of confusion wrap around her enemy, lining him up neatly for Gocklo's fireball. Try that again Gocklo, he is still confused. Gocklo repeats Nerwen uses scroll of fragile on Gombur
