To solve the time zone issue, everyone could move to Australia. It's usually sunny, we like the Queen speak English (not American) but do also like Americans too. There's plenty of room and all the deadly animals aren't a problem in the cities. If you've got American dollars or British pounds you'll get a good exchange rate. The only downside is LEGO costs more relative to US/Europe. Edit:Oh, and we don't mind turkey day because it means good internet specials on LEGO.

Nerwen spoke calmly to the captain. If the situation were reversed, you would be glad of aid, Boneparte or not. Given the number if warriors you currently carry, I do not think there is any cause for concern about handling any foolish enough to attack us. Nerwen indicates her willingness to fight. -
On that note, I'm away on a conference for the next week. My posting may be less frequent (ie. once every 1-2 day rather than 2 or 3 times a day). If there's a battle and I miss a 24hr deadline, Hoke as party leader has call on my action.

I remember you Alexandre. You entered the hall wearing a strange helm patterned after the stories of a land called Spayn. But it was a long while and I am sure you've met many others since. My name again is Nerwen. -
You're very welcome. And why yes, I can segue from Monty Python to Dr.Dre seamlessly. (Though I prefer the Ben Folds cover).

I have to disagree Master le Chavalier. I have learnt from hard experience that if you're looking for ethical magic users, witches magic is nothing but shows and tricks. They have a predilection for the seeds found in hard shells, and they are terrible as private investigators. They are no more or less nefarious than those who use what they offer. Perhaps less so, witches cannot handle streets. -

Ah! That explains your loquaciousness, that you are not long-lived. I have found that the shorter the life the more talkative. Humans can not seems to go an hour without speaking, yet I knew elves that would go a day between words. As for what you said, you challenged him by asking him what he had done of worth. He is a man, with a man' s ego. He cannot let such a challenge go unanswered. But what of yourself? You seem accomplished, you must have fought more than eighty battles, so same question to you, what is in you that is of worth. Nerwen looks out over the ocean. Her sharp eyes searching in case of trouble, be they, kelpies, leviathans or spongblobs. -

Nerwen raises an eyebrow and grins. Well, You are precious. The sea holds no terrors for me. I have no debt to Neron. You asked Guts what he had ever done of note. He was nice to me once, tried to be a gentleman and protect me from a temptation he thought I ought not face. As for Dyric, if he killed it, it was not a goddess. But he is young. And male. And human. And a rogue. So allowances need to be made. You are welcome to try your blade against Guts'. You could make a game of it. You stab him with your knife, he stabs you with his. Find out who gets up at the end. That might be interesting to see. But it certainly will not be a spanking. If you want one of those, best see Mistress Alexis over there. Beware though, you may get more than you bargin for. Nerwen hears the Orc warrior mutter something, but her orcish is too rusty and his dialect to new for her to pick out his meaning clearly. His tone, however, is unmistakeable. She nods subtly in agreement. As Guts leaves and throws his parting words over his shoulder, Nerwen smiles again. Do not worry. I am no witch, it is not me he is hunting. -

Having settled aboard the boat, Nerwen finally has time to reply to Guts' question. Helped an innkeeper in Eubric deal with some tennants who were behind in the rent. Dyric was in that party. Then I travelled up to R'kilf with the chatty Mage, Arthur and Lord Boomingham. Different factions wanted control of the town and the Brobric elves wanted us to sort it out, fearing a conflict there could spread. Politics and speciesism. The same kind of mess we are heading into now. Nerwen looked around. She was at ease on the boat, it's motion not troubling her at all, but she had no interest in gambling drinking or raucous conversation. She kept her position on the lee side up by the bow and watched sea birds trailing in the ships wake. -

Nerwen sees a small dragonet sitting on the shoulder of a burly hero. She shuddered, her last encounter with small dragons had been... problematic. She then heard Benji suggesting he'd enjoy a shot at Guts. Speaking again to Dyric. You will be a voice of reason among your party, will you not? I do not think the light you serve would shine on those who raise arms against those sticking toward the same good ends. -

Nerwen's eyes narrowed. Her voice flat and hard. I remember Dastan just fine. We were lied to, manipulated and set against one another. Yet good was achieved, the empire stabilised, the traitor removed and the threat of chaos eliminated. And we survived. That is a win. But it was not a mere game. I know heroes that still carry scars and grudges from that night in the square, when the witch threw the infernal device at those he ought have been beside. Good people died for lies, others crushed to gather power. If these think they can do the same again, it will be a nasty shock to them. Drinks, music, dancing? It has been too long since I enjoyed each of those. I missed Yavieba, autumnal equinox and the feast night then because of my most recent quest. I expect we will be in the high kingdoms for Grogmas and Yenearsira Winter Solstice, I pray we will be in good company with food and drink and good cheer. Nerwen looked steadily at Guts as she said this last. -

Nerwen stepped between the kobold and the bald raider. Only that I am better looking than you. Pay him no mind, he is cheeky but mostly harmless. Tell me. What have you been doing since we last spoke, we hardly got the chance to catch up in the hall. -

I have been well. We were sorting a political situation in R'kilf, it sounds much the same as this. Game? I did not know this was a game. If it is, it is a game of kingdoms, where staying alive is a win. -

Nerwen smiled broadly when she saw who she would be travelling with. Master Lightkiller. How have you been? Nodding at the Orc she said Strength and honour to your clan, warrior. I am Nerwen, shaman. -

no worries.mi wouldn't really have minded, but I'm quite happy not having the job. Have just noticed I've added up my ether wrong, and the white cloak should be equipped. Speaking to the kobold, Nerwen says Stars shine in our meeting, Gocklo. Can you tell us what has been happening in Baltarok? I am afraid I am a bit behind in the news. -

Nerwen steps onto the dock to hear a barbarian woman ask, Greetings. I am Nerwen Calmcacil, I do not believe we have met. I understand Benji Carvenhall and a knight named Hoke Ablesword are to join us. I expect they will be along soon. Sorry Zeph, big stats update, quick turn around between #77 and #88 Purchased garnet, opal, topaz, scrolls of confusion and fragile, tiger balm and two neutralisers. Traded raw meat for Grogmas hand cannon and returned spider leg spear to Arthur. I did make sure to update my block in the stats topic, so you should be able to just cut/copy that. Edit: I'm party leader again?!? I guess that says good things about my playing... -
Nerwen purchases two neutralisers and a tiger balm costing 50+50+100=200 gold leaving her with 245-200=45 gold,
-
Nerwen returns Arthur's spider leg spear which had been left in her bag after the previous quest, then headed to the market before meeting the others for her new quest.
-
Nerwen watched Guts leave. Thoughtful as her eyes tracked him out the door she then went to the bar, sliding in beside the portly paladin Boomingham and a short figure on the other side, a hero whom she had not yet met.
-
Nerwen hears Guts name read for the quest. She touches his cheek lightly. It will happen someday. She smiles warmly, almost shyly. Then straightens. As for the ship, you say she can be sailed one handed? If you do not mind an elvish name then perhaps Sulie Cam'wethrin the Wind Thief.

Yeah. My taking Calaryl was my idea. I asked Doc and he oked it. It was a way of getting Throlar some interaction without any of the PCs having to do it. What you did with the fainting thing was showboating, scene stealing. You should actually be grateful Doc was busy. You could have found yourself in a much worse situation than an elvish wine cellar. As for others' language skills, my screen name is Chromeknight. Small detail, but it makes you look silly critiquing others while getting stuff wrong yourself. Nerwen was one of Throlar's most consistent supporters in this quest. At least I thought so. If you have a different view of that, it'd be interesting to hear, but some acknowledgment of that might gave given you something to say about her and Throlar.
