My mother clearly was an elf. That should tell you all you need to know about her views on beauty and goodness. As for the other questions. Yes they are irrelevant now you have revealed your allegiances. Without saying anything further or waiting for the party leader, Nerwen charges into combat Nerwen - sword vs. assassin
-
Nerwen shrugs. She replies quietly to Alexis If he was a snake, we would already be cleaning him off our weapons. Perhaps she needs someone to tell her the assassin is evil? In a louder voice to the assassin she says. Hey, you. Are you evil? You seem to be ugly. Does ugly equal evil? You clearly want attention. A decent assassin could have killed their target and been out the door before anyone noticed. Do you want us to stop you? Are you conflicted about your motivations for this task?? Or are you waiting for the talkative man to offer you some sort of deal not to kill him? Should we offer you a deal? Or are you going to offer us a deal? You asked for some of our time, are you wanting to hire us not to kill you? How do you feel about snakes and gods? Will either of those figure in your request?

Nerwen slips her shield from her back, where it had been strapped and settles it across her forearm. Though she does not draw a weapon, she is clearly ready to follow her party leader's lead. No votes this time Miss, it is your call, do we enter this fight or not?

Nerwen nods slowly in response to Irisa's question I see the spirit who serves as guardian and shield. She brings a message from her god that I need to spend time reflecting on my past to uncover more of the watcher. Thank you for your words. Nerwen rises and stretches, before seeing others making ready to leave.

Nerwen sat thoughtfully. Thank you Mistress. I expect this is a question beyond you but I wonder it the heartache of the future is because of the present or in spite of it. You are certain this reading refers to the cloaked figure and not the man at the other end of the bridge or the dream as a whole? Nerwen was about to say more when Seraphiel shimmered into sight behind the teller. Rather than the single sword she usually carried, now she had two, crossed over and laid back across her shoulders. Clearly not threatening the bandaged woman in any, but delivering a caution for Nerwen alone. She looked again and saw a white blindfold across the angel's eyes. Not a word was said by either, but as Nerwen reflected, she understood the guardian's message.

Yep, it's deliberately a continuation of #44. I went back and reread it myself, then passed the link to Kintobor. In #44 I said Nerwen had a dream but left it to Sandy to say what the dream was. This time I gave the dream myself. Should be fairly easy to work out who the man at the other end of the bridge is, the cloaked figure is there as a hint that there is more going on for Nerwen than just that relationship...

Nerwen sees Purpearl rise from her quiet discussion with the fortune teller. As the young Mage steps to the door, she slips into the vacated seat. I will pay the ten gold. I have had dreams, yes. I dream I am standing on a high bridge. A man stands at the other end. I beckon to him but he turns away. As he turns the bridge collapses and I fall. Though I wake shortly after, before hitting the ground far below. The meaning of the dream seems straightforward. But there is one detail which is odd. Off to the side of the man, on the cliff edge is another figure, in a dark green cloak and hood, face shrouded. Just standing, watching. If the cloak were black or white I might have some idea, but it is definitely green. My question is, who is this figure? Nerwen's voice was low, but urgent and her eyes intense.

Standing at the bar, Nerwen looks around. An odd hiccup of time passes through her like an undigested lembas. She shakes her head to clear it and looks around again to see where people are.

Nerwen speaks to the tri-tech woman. Decamon? I have heard little bits about this. Can you tell me more please?
-
Nerwen moves over to the bandaged lady. Looking at the card in her hand she says, The tower. Crisis and downfall. What is it you see?
-
Nerwen moves to the bar, looking for a list of drinks for sale. She asks the bartender, Quel re. Have you seen an armoured woman pass through? Somehow missed the menu post before!
-
Nerwen's bedroll is a circular mat. She places it on the ground and sits on it, cross-legged, slipping into a meditative trance.
-
Nerwen nods Let us return to the inn and rest then.
-
When you get back to Eubric Matthias, go see Gnomeo about one of 'amerspase bags, they will hold all those things you are carrying. And be careful as you search. Knowing what we know of this Lord Chauncy, I expect most of his objects are dangerous, cursed, trapped or some combination of all three. And Purpearl, thank you for the stomach guard.
-
Nerwen wipes her sword clean and sheathes it. We will find the Armoured Reaper in R'kilf. I believe we need to head there next. As for loot, none of it particularly interests me. If I am the hero that gets an IOU this battle that will be fine.
-
Nerwen nods in response to XX's thanks. Let us finish this. Nerwen - sword vs. Magnar
-
Nerwen hears the boom then Matthias' yell. I think it would be a bad idea to leave him down, I will restore him. But he has the party's only other pheonix essence, he can not be put in danger. Nerwen - pheonix essence vs. XX
-
Nerwen draws her sword and takes position ready to attack. Nerwen - Sword of the warrior of light vs. Magnar
-
Nerwen swung her mourning star again.
-
Did you roll for special guard? Did you roll for my shield? If yes to both, thanks, but it'd be good to note it in round report. If no, please do! If Nerwen is still hurt she heals herself Otherwise she uses the mourning star again.
-
As you wish Matthias. Nerwen shifts to attacking Nerwen - mourning star vs. Magnar Master Ecksecks, since the foe will take extra damage from your dagger, it is effectively more powerful than your cannon. I know you enjoy blowing things up and have had limited chance to so far, but why waste bombs when your blade does it better?
-
Nerwen sees Matthias hit and his tentative reaching for his bag. Save your potion master gnome, I shall heal you. Nerwen - heal vs. Matthias
-
Nerwen listens to the exchange between the woman and the folically challenged nord. She then shakes loose her mourning star and readies for battle. An enemy not immune to your scrolls Lady Berthadhiell. She steps forward shield at the ready. Nerwen - mourning star vs. Magnar
