  1. These pictures are way too big, this page took way to long to load. I believe that I was bidding on this set too. Once You resize the pics I can make a real comment on this set.
  2. I like buildings like this because they are more realistic to an actual city. Is this modular because i feel like it would work well with the other modular buildings.
  3. I never realy liked this set before but the review was very interesting for an ok set. By the way this pirate: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?M=pi013 was the first to have a tattoo.
  4. With so many large elements the design is actually very unique. I don't know how useful it is to have a flying ship in caves though.
  5. I guess that would be like getting a box of people for christmas, not something I would want. I could be nice if they had a printed tile of the sets box art. My 2009 lego budget couldn't take another big set.
  6. My grandmother couldn't even find ebay let alone know how to use it. I think that it is the buyers responsibility to find out what they are buying before they bid on it not the sellers. What is annoying is when people mark non lego items as lego. To all the ebay sellers out there- no one wants clone brands advertised as lego!!!!!!
  7. Wow somebody has way to much time on their hands (but then again who doesn't). 12 of possibly the greatest lego sets ever. this picture is beautiful. You can also create a forest with 12 of those great trees and a huge population for your port. I am eagerly awaiting it.
  8. I had previously thought that for 100 USD this set looks small but all of the details it makes up for it. I believe that the things under the tree are supposed to be gifts for the children, too bad they didn't get any Lego. I like the base of this snowman more because it is more rounded.
  9. After taking a second look I believe that the two people in the front are holding caroling books. Maybe we get some singing heads. And we get a rare white baseplate!!! I think this has swayed my decision- I am getting this set for Christmas.
  10. I like this set but its kinda allot of money. I'm undecided about this one maybe for Christmas. I like this snowman better than the other one but what is the man in the top hat holding? An acordian? I think the jester is a jack in the box.
  11. This is a great set for its parts and unlike some of the other 2009 sets it has a great price. I cant wait until this set becomes avalible because I will pick one up right away. Edit: its avalible at TRU: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3502263 but i think i will wait and get it at my local target because i just got a gift card for my birthday.
  12. I was thinking the same thing it kinda looks too tall for its base. Its also missing the garage that these houses usually have. The pond is a nice touch though.
  13. With a very limited WW part selection I think you created just about the best western moc i have ever seen in LDD. I wish they had horses in LDD but they would probably be allot of money. i have seen many of your LDD mocs and have always wondered if you actually buy them or just design them.
  14. Having built modular buildings in I can say it was hard at first after a while you get used to it. I have a few suggestions for someone new to LDD: 1. The colors make the model look allot different on LDD than in real life - thats going to be allot of blue and maybe a little bright for a war MOC 2. I would build the interior outside the building and then add it in later when actually building 3. Measure the height of your building to get a sense for it in real life as you could be building it to large or small compared to your other houses or vehicles Good luck and for a first try on LDD this is great
  15. This is such a recognisable theme that I'm surprised the TLC hasn't already made one. It could have been part of the Adventurers theme or a more accurate subtheme of the Castle line. Hopefully this and WW will be the next 2 historical themes but I don't know how well these would sell to kids.
  16. And I forgot the new Indy map, which would be perfect for another western theme.
  17. Wow I recognize all the places you have built from the movies and books. Keep up the good work and stick to it, I'm sure it will be great when it's finished.
  18. Other than the usually City, Pirates,Castle... sets I think we will get a Western theme!!!! There are a few reasons for this 1. The Indy Fedora 2. The Power Miners dynamite piece 3. Cannons I don't think that there will be an Egyptian theme because of the PoP licence.
  19. I love how you used the baseplate with the water, I have never seen anything like this done before. This is also very tall- perfect to warn ships and a perfect MOC.
  20. Amazing Bricks- large selection and gave extra pieces of some of the bricks I ordered. I would recommend this store to everyone.
  21. That would be one way to continue with the adventurers line but sadly I think that the timing is off. Maybe if they made a third National Treasure though?
  22. I wanted the track to match the street in that they both end. i wanted this to bee like a cross section of a larger town. Also the monorail has to be on the baseplates so if I did a loop then it wouldn't go any where.
  23. I like this building and the others in your collection as they are original and complete a medieval town. I think that if you upload the pics to your post instead of linking them then you will get more replies. Not sure why but people seem to lazy to click on a like to view MOCs.
  24. I like Brick Beard because he is an updated, and in my opinion better, version of Red Beard. Maybe this guy should be added to the poll? http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?M=pi102 I belive he is the only other minifig to wear the hat and I personally like the torso.
  25. Sorry if this has been posted but 19 pages is allot and I may have missed it. I would like a reto-futuristic city theme. Like something out of old cartoons, or more recent movies like this: http://rlv.zcache.com/retro_space_rocket_p...5383s98_400.jpg http://www.jimhillmedia.com/mb/images/uplo...binson_city.jpg http://www.jimhillmedia.com/mb/images/uplo...ounded-city.jpg The minifigs could be a mixture of robots, humans and more evolved animals like dinosaurs, and cows, living with humans. The theme would also focus on daily life and should be LAND (if not necessarily on earth) based.
