aerials found in 2009 new sets
Tom Bricks replied to paul_delahaye's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I would rather have this problem then the older one, it used to be that you couldn't rotate the piece when it was on a stud. -
Are they on the missiles on the sides? Now I should be able to get some

This is close to my top 30 too and the best thing is that most of these are pretty common. I have about 2/3! -
What effect does Toy Story have on future WW sets?
Tom Bricks replied to Tom Bricks's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
From what I heard Cars would be Duplo but the others would not. No Idea how this will work though. The first movie has only one cowboy but in the second there are more. http://www.fi-donc.nl/collectibles/wdcc/20...0Prospector.jpg http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/t...Toy_Story_2.jpg I wish there was a way to get around the fraction problem I always thought there where too many bandits. -
What effect does Toy Story have on future WW sets?
Tom Bricks posted a topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I just realized that because of the new Toy Story line our chances of a new Wild West line are either much lower or much higher. They would either be to similar and compete with each other or they could reintroduce some old molds for a new line. What do you think? At least they should have some nice parts for MOCing. -
I love the tattoo on the shoulder and the ghostbusters shirt is nice too.

The poor, poor little minifig
Tom Bricks replied to Pirate Pete's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I once found this: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?M=adv038 in perfect condition just sitting on the floor of my schools computer lab. No idea how it got there but needless to say I took it right away. -
Has anyone tried to preserve the TLC stickers?
Tom Bricks replied to Captain Green Hair's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Thats awful. I have been lucky though no peeling so far. It's strange I have some old stickers in perfect condition an some newer ones in horrible condition. I guess it's the luck of the draw. -

What figure represents the castle line?
Tom Bricks replied to Tom Bricks's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I will share with you why I posted this. I was thinking about that giant lego figure that washed up on the beach and I thought how cool one of those would be to have. Then I decided that the same person who made this of if it was TLC they should make this and bring it to conventions and things. Because of the size and probable cost of this giant you could only have one for each theme and then I got to thinking which one would represent each theme. Most where kind of obvious but the Castle line stumped me so I decided to ask everyone here. I'm kinda leaning towards the black falcon knight no but that's just my preference. Thats pretty much how I thought of one figure representing the entire theme. -
I think the red gun and most other red parts are tests for the molds. You can buy them if you like but because they are only tests they are never in sets. red makes mistakes in the mold show up better or something so these are made before the actual part. I think that you need connections to get these parts for yourself.

I know they should have used hair in this case but I don't think they used hair in the sports line. The skin color is also strange, it's not a normal fleshie.

Has anyone tried to preserve the TLC stickers?
Tom Bricks replied to Captain Green Hair's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Are there any stickers covering multiple parts? I would try to leave it out of direct sunlight and to try to not move the stickers- once there down leave them where they are even if there crooked, a crooked sticker is better than none at all. -
I try to build small armies of different figs but it is low on my list of lego buying priorities. When I have the option of one of the battle packs or a set of the same price I have to go with the set.

Out of curiosity what set are you talking about? I think the newer ones hold up better so you might not need to worry. -
This one I will get for sure. I recently started recollecting some WW sets so this should go perfectly. The soldier is perfect for army builders too. The only downside is the yellow spaceman, my least favorite color, but I still like this one. And my 2009 Lego budget expands once again....

What figure represents the castle line?
Tom Bricks replied to Tom Bricks's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Yes the black falcon, I figured no one would chooses any of the newer fractions to represent such an old line. -
What figure represents the castle line?
Tom Bricks replied to Tom Bricks's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Interestingly enough no one has mentioned the castle fig that is on the banner. -
I was thinking last night about witch minifig best represents each theme. The captain can represent the entire pirate line while any color of the classic space man can represent the space theme but what sums up the Castle line? This is harder than other themes because of the different fractions but there needs to be one common fig that best represents the line, I just don't know what it is. What do you people think?

Comic Strip - The Astounding Pizza-Man!
Tom Bricks replied to Doctor Sinister's topic in Brick Flicks & Comics
This is a great comic books, especially for only 24 hours of work. I like how you used the exo-force head for Saladator it's probably the best use I have seen for this head (I don't like them very much). -
I mod all of my sets except market street. City sets generally don't need to be heavily modified but others like castle or pirates sets almost always need more foliage or some reinforcements.
