  1. Found this recently: Apparently 8295 was originally supposed to come with a poster! How cool would that have been? TLG should do that now; it would at least add value to sets and partially make up for the lack of a B-model.
  2. If that's the case, white would have worked okay there as well.
  3. Any idea what this part is supposed to be doing on the side of the cab? Suggestions on a postcard.
  4. Uh, yeah it is. The shape of the nose alone is a dead giveaway.
  5. I still have no idea why TLG aren't calling this thing the Volvo A60H. Would a semi-numerical model designation be too much for the yoof of today to handle?
  6. The sticker that really acquires my caprine mammal is the one in 8283, seen here: It's stuck over two thin beams, both of which are connected by a pin. This setup, unfortunately, isn't used in the B-model; luckily, there's a workaround - rotate one liftarm off the sticker and thus remove the pin, then reattach the beam with a 3L pin (used in both models) when it's needed. Still a pain though, and completely unnecessary.
  7. It's a given that these sets will be released in August, late July at the earliest. Unless there's a problem with the A60H's CONTROL+ profile and it gets shoved back. Though I doubt you could screw up "move and dump" in any way whatsoever.
  8. I used a Pritt stick to hold down one of the stickers on 8295 (my copy came with a fairly mangled sheet and one of the "AP4WS" stickers would peel up a bit at the end). Should work for you.
  9. True. Although this is the first such year in which the flagship is considerably smaller than the UCS set (in terms of part count anyway).
  10. Horizontal C+ motor. Plus a number of cool yellow recolours. Every time? I'm not sure about that. The first point and this one imply that TLG should be making loads of new parts, which nearly sunk them in the first place. To be honest, this is the stance I'm adopting. Would be nice if we had a B-model though. Every Volvo set up to now has had one, and I don't think that that should change.
  11. Nope, there's stickers. You can see that the fan cover on the curved panel at the front is too smooth for it to be anything else, and the same goes for the "A60H" on the 3x11 panel on the dump bed.
  12. Having had another close look at the structure and build techniques, I actually think Aurelien might be the designer. The doors and use of beams are somewhat reminiscent of the Arctic Truck.
  13. Great work! Looks exactly like the real thing from a distance.
  14. Unlikely. There's a slanted beam in the way and no visible point for the motor to be attached.
  15. Here's a problem: if the drum is engaged in spin mode while the truck is driven, doesn't that mean reversing the truck will dump the load?
  16. Even so, it's nowhere near as efficient as in 42098. If this thing was going to crib from that set, it might as well have gone all the way.
