  1. Excellent MOC, Graynar! You are really turning out some great Exo-force stuff, and this is the best yet! The Recon Walker is very nice, and the base's exterior design and interior are awesome! I'd give it a 9/10, as it still seems to be missing something, and because the figures are basicly the same as the ones in Gate Assault. I'd really like to see some more Exo-force Moc's with original pilots and different generic soldiers! (new faces and hair, I mean) Still. awesome job. ;-) BTW, wonder if TLC will take a cue from all these robot base MOC's and make an offical set one.... *hopes*
  2. Yeah, I found that out after I posted that. Thanks anyway. ;-)
  3. ... Was that supposed to be a joke? 8-|
  4. Man, if that's what you decide to do, Shadow Crawler will probably be the best defended unit in the game! *sweet*
  5. Honestly, I don't think names like Axonn and Brutaka are lame, because when you think about it, they do have a perfectly logical explination. I mean, every real name on earth has a meaning. Mark, for example, means "warlike," and Beth means "house." In the same way, every bionicle name probably has a meaning in the offical universe. Vezon, for example, is known to mean "double." As for names like Axonn and Brutaka, they are comparable to names like Charity and Justice, in that they take the name meaning one step further and make it instantly reconizable. Axonn probably was named that because the great beings gave him an axe when they created him. Brutaka was named so because he was created with a "force first" kind of outlook on keeping justice. In that sense, IMO, names like that are not "lame," just different, and that's why I find nothing wrong with them. ;-) Another thing: in the offical Bionicle universe, the 6 main elements usually are only used to describe Toa, Turaga, and Matoran (Bohrok are one exception). But more importantly, Darkness, or "Shadow," are only used to characterize evil beings. Toa can not have darkness as an element, therefore a "Toa of Darkness," like your Krakua, would really be an oxymoron. But, since this is your version of the story, feel free to disregard this if you want. ;-)
  6. That's why I said "IMO." Silly Prateek... (j/K) :-P
  7. Jinzo, lately you have become my true hero (Bioniclewise). Finally, I've found somebody who at least partly agree's that GregF might not (and in my opinion, doesn't) control bionicle and make it his personal sandbox. I've agreed with you with about everything you have said, and IMHO, you make the most sense of anybody on this forum. ;-) BTW, Movie was great! The music was MUCH better than AAR, and the animation was awesome! And I am loving the new MOLI shape. *y* Only, I must concur with Thrawn: Why are the Barraki fighting each other in the style of the Piraka? :-/
  8. Interesting.... Sadly, I throughly apreciate the Brotherhood of Makuta, the Dark Hunters, and the Piraka and Barraki, as well as all the new islands, so I'm sorry to say that taking those things out of Bionicle would make it less interesting for me. Another thing: What's with 8 elements? Seriously, making night an element (and a GOOD sided one at that), really doesn't work for me. (Yet, I know it doesn't have to, since this is your story) Final thing: What's with all the name changes? I know you aparently don't like the old names, but frankly, the ones you made up sound even less Bionicle like. :-/ Actually, it's good so far, but changing the names and the way the whole Bionicle mythos works just doesn't feel right. Maybe it's because of my mostly-loyalty to GregF (which I don't think always earns you the name UBER LOYAL FAN), and maybe it's because I really like the storyline, even as of now. But, I don't blame you for doing this. You're just rewriting the Bioncle universe to your standards, instead of only talking about how TLC and Greg F have supposedly runied bionicle. Good, since taking action is the best thing to to when you have a complaint but can't get it registered. ;-)
  9. Hohoho, now that's more like it! *sweet* Now, I have another option for Hayato in 2007 besides the ugly jetpack "thing" (IMO) that we've already seen! And the design on this baby is sweet! From the beefy legs to the awesome gun arm and cockpit, this mech is just plain awesome! The shield is the only down point, but considering that it's all new gold, there's no criticism coming from me! In fact, I see tons of useful parts in this set, since there are so many recolorations in gold, dark red, and white! Thank you TLC for not messing this one up. :'-) Mission Control, we have lift-off *y*
  10. Okay, hear me out when I state the facts: GregF and the story team have NOTHING to do with the set design. Period. So many people here have been relating him to all the dumb launchers and the sets they say are horrible, but the fact is that Greg doesn't design the sets, nor does the story team. His job is to help make the story, as he has said before. TLC are the people responsible for the sets, not GregF, so when you dis the sets, you are dissing TLC, not Greg (which is still perfectly fine). What I really can't understand is why people thing Bionicle is now GregF's little playhouse, and not a group effort. He may be a major player in the story, but the story team members all contribute, and he and them debate things like any normal team do. GregF is not the end all of Bionicle, contrary to what you guys are saying, so saying that GregF is the sole "killer of Bionicle" is like saying that Hitler is the sole player in WWII (which is totally untrue). What about the smaller arms that were made in new colors? What about the silver armor and hordika feet? What about the head joints and some of the tools? I've seen all of those used well in MOC's, and I've often used them as well. ;-)
  11. He means he wants a choice in the poll that says "neither of the years are better. Exo-force is crud," or something like that. Oh well, I expected that from a pirate fan. X-D Me, personally, I'd say 2006. Every set that year impressed me, even the Sonic Phantom, and we got a new comic every two weeks (unlike 2007 so far). 2007's Januarry wave was good, and in many cases awesome, but summer is looking a bit down. Hayato's "mech" stinks, and the jet part of the golden tower is too much like the sonic phantom. The tank set is cool, the Golden Tower "tower" awesome, and we get a female character for the first time, but 2006 is still better, IMO.
  12. Ugh, I strained my eyes and brain to read that. Casewindu, if you are from england, then why can't you type a post without making so many grammar, spelling, and word mistakes? I've seen many germans and french on here that type much better than that, so I suggest you do too. No offence, it's just an honest suggestion. ;-) Getting back on topic, I don't think swords and claws and chainsaws are that out of place in an anime based line, nor are pointless. Why? Well, if you were an Exo-force pilot, and you wanted to deal some seriously heavy damage quickly, using a weapon like a chainsaw or a sword would be easier and quicker. Simply slashing a sword is a lot easier than aiming a laser gun, wouldn't you say? ;-) But, I can see what you are saying, Casewindu, at least in some sense. Because, I too am very dissapointed with at least one of the 2007 sets, Hayato's "mech." Or, can you even call it that? Because what I see in the latest pictures is a tiny cockpit and skinny legs with two massive cannons and three enormous jets sticking out of the back. This... thing, is so seriously ridiculous, that I doubt if it would even stand up in set form. The Jets are hollow with huge gaps in them, the cockpit is tiny and so unprotected, and the mech is so out of porpotion, it's probably longer than it is tall! On top of that, they had to add a missile launcher, giant red fins, and support it all on tiny legs that look like they came straight from the Cyclone Defender, and painted blue. Add it all together and you get one of the most ridiculous sets Lego has ever designed. :-| Seriously, I'd take the Megablocks Dragons Battlestrom Castle over this crazy piece of junk. Other than a few good parts, TLC seriously struck out on this one. *sad*
  13. Can you say, mixed bag? :-/ Jaller: Biggest problem I see here is that virtually all of his main parts were in his Inika form. The crab like piece, yellow plate thing, and a few other pieces could be useful, but unless you haven't gotten Jaller Inika yet, parts monkeys should probably stay away. Mask? Weird. That's all I have to say. Not sure if it's better than his Inika mask, though. Weapons? (Note, Chain gun...thing, will be receiving it's own section) Well, his sword is cool, and the pet crab is interesting. I've run out of things to say about him, so I'm moving on. Hahli: Well, this proves that the mysterious figures on Nocturn's box weren't prototype Barraki, unlike the theory that BZP spread. Setwise, shes okay, and the mask is a bit better. She also looks great for parts, since her blue parts are not two toned, for those who hate those kind of molds. Kongu: Looks okay. His mask kind of looks like a Miru, which is GOOD, and he may have a new body piece (although I doubt it). Can't tell what the weapon is. 8-| Matoro: Actually, contrary to KMOI, I think he looks good! His mask seems so much like a more powerful Akaku, and he has an interesting weapon. I actually don't mind the toa foot on his body; I think it's pretty cool, and kind of like what many MOC'ers have done. Nuparu: Sorry, but I must skip, as I can't make out what his actual shape is, nor where his head is. I think I see a whenua hordika tool somewhere, but that's it. Hewki: If that's a yellow piraka torso, GOOD. But other than that, I don't see many good or new parts. Is it just me, or are the Mahri seriously lacking new molds? Maybe all the designers "thought" into the chaingun drained them of anymore creativity. :-| Chaingun "Collectable:" :-X I mean, it doesn't look THAT bad, but the fact that it's on the Mahri and in Bionicle at all makes me feel very woozy. I mean, Hakann's lava launcher was one thing, the Zamors were another, but this is a modern day gun, no questions asked. It shouldn't even be in these pictures. PERIOD. Good thing that there is an easy fix: Take it off, and replace it with a better weapon. :-) Hydraxon: I like mask! *sweet* And his design is good, if a bit simple. But the chaingun.... :-| Gadunka: I dunno, his head just looks too big for his body. But I LOVE the way they did his teeth, and the head looks sweet. Why, however, am I thinking giant mutant frog when I see this? 8-| Maxilo and Spinax: Oh man, now we're talking! Maxilo is AWESOME. His staff is sweet, his design is armored and meancing, and he has lots of great parts (Do I see an Ignika? *y* ) Spinax is cool, too, if a bit plain. Again, the launcher, but I don't mind as much this time. Maybe because this set is so darn sweet. *wub* All three playsets: Man, Aquaraiders just went down the drain.... Oh, wait, this is bionicle. :-| I see giant futuristic sea vehicles, figs that look EXACTLY like the Inika and Piraka, and more launchers than I can count. *n* Enough said. OVERALL: Again, mixed bag. Some of the Inika are cool, the Titans are again great (man, at least TLC has always been awesome at that!), but the playsets stink, and the launchers :-X . Not bad, but not nearly as good as I hoped. Or maybe as much as I "dreamed." :-/
  14. Your wish is granted. ;-) All pictures!

    Ulp....

Man, my birthday was great, but I'm also kind of nervous. That's because I have oral surgery on tuesday. :-( Yep. Four wisdom teeth and a troublesome tooth that never came down (and now is wedged beneath another tooth) all have to come out, and since I haven't had surgery in ages, I'm not used to the process anymore. Everyone is saying it will be okay, but it doesn't completely take away the tenison. *sad*
  16. Thanks! I agree, Lobster Strike (I made a mistake with the name last time) is an awesome set. I wish the vehicle was airtight, but other than that, I love it! *sweet* An update: I had my party on Saturday. A few friends and I (and my brother) played some games, watched a movie, and had pizza for dinner. It was great, especialy since one of my friends brought more legos for a present! Yep, I now have Bionicle Kalmah and Morak in my collection, both sets that I wanted! Man, this was an awesome birthday. :'-)
  17. The Angler fish is my favorite. That scary dude's design is compact and meancing, and the color scheme works great. ;-) As for the most moddable, I'd say the Tiger Shark. He's good, but the tail assembly, while novel, just doesn't work well. He's also too long. Both of these problems can be fixed fairly easily, however (at least from what I see). ;-)
  18. OOC: Well, for starters, you do know that I would have no chance against you in a duel, so really, all I can do is escape. But, I really think you are at least slightly exagurating when you say that all I do is say "'ive blown up 3 ties and now im gone." Remember the jedi training storyline I set up? I don't think that qualifys as that. But the biggest problem I have is that I don't get on as much as most members in this thread do. There are many days when I don't get on barely at all, and by the time I am back, things have progressed so much that I really don't have a place in the current events at all. Thats partly why I have so much trouble making a continuning storyline. And, I really don't feel like taking part in this anymore, anyway, mainly because of the formentioned problem. So, I'm taking a break from this. Lets just say that I have dissapeared after being captured, supposedly to some hight security inperial prision (But that nobody really knows completely where I truly am). Okay? Good. ;-)
  19. OOC: ..... Vader, you may be a sith, but that doesn't mean you can basicly control what happens to me in this game! How is what you just did fair? And more importantly, how am I supposed to do anything if you can basicly control my outcome? |-/ I've been getting kind of tired of this game anyway. Just forget I even exist in this game for now, okay? (no, I don't want to be dead, just not opperational in the game right now). The concept of this game seemed fine at first, but in reality, it's kind of getting uncontrolable. :-|
  20. Well, dinner and presents are over, and let me say, it was awesome. This years loot includes: Aquaraiders Angler Ambush Aquaraiders Lobster Attack Exo-force Blade Iitan Exo-force Shadow Crawler Exo-force Cyclone Defender Oh, and a book: Bionicle Legends 4. ;-) And the dinner, oh man, mom did an awesome job. X-D Thanks again for the comments, everybody!
  21. Um, the last three don't sound like bionicle at all. It's probably like what happened in November or December when ToysRus put two exo-force kits in the Bionicle section. (Althought I have no idea why :-| ) And the others? Uh, odd. Is Gadunka a Bionicle basketball player who makes a lot of slam dunks? Does Hydraxon like Hydrogen Peroxide? And who are these guys called Max and Spin? *wacko* I still love bionicle, but lately the names have been getting a bit... weird. :-/
  22. Oh, I would, but you are expecting that. I still have plenty of other options.... *throws small grenade, uses force powers to make it sail into a door behind me* BOOOMMM!!! I must be going now! I may be a jedi, but no rule says that a Jedi can't have other weapons! ;-) *runs and jumps through the hole made by the grenade*
  23. Hey, thanks everybody! Man, I never expected this... *sweet* No rebels ships on my wishlist, unfortunately. But I have been playing my new copy of Lego Starwars II for 2 weeks. X-D Man, now that my schoolwork is done (I'm homeschooled), I really have a lot to look foward to! Mmm, can't wait for dinner... :'-) FOR THE ALLIANCE!!! X-D
  24. Ah, vader, I sensed you right from the begining. I would duel with you, but right now I have other buisness. *shoots explosive barrel by the wall with a previously concealed laser pistol* BOOOMM!!! OOC: P.s. The part of my posts in parenthasees is in my head, and force protected, so you shouldn't know what I am thinking unless you are trying to break through my force blocks. OOC: I meant the part about our warriors being gungans. ;-) (Good thing I still cary a gun, but that won't keep him for long. I got to get out of here. Good thing the death spot is just around the corner....)
  25. Vader, I only have a slight knowing of where you get your info from, but whoever it is (if it even is a lifeform), I really pity him. He must be a poor, dememted soul if he constantly makes up crazy info like the info that you are reporting. :-| ~~~~ I've infiltrated the Imperial base Imperial Scouts is located in. The stormtroopers have not noticed me yet, due to a little "harmless" mind-mediling. I'm going towards the spot where I sense death, which is probably a stormtrooper or pilot killed by Imperial Scouts. Whoops, a stormtrooper batalion is coming down the next hallway. I'll just redirrect the commander.... Ah, good. Now to travel the the death site.
