Indeed. It kinda reminds me of Movie-style Nokama, which was much more female than the actual kit in 2004. ;-) Some time ago, before the first january 2008 pictures came out, I drew what I thought the new Nuva masks should have been line. In a word, they were fusions of Mata and Nuva mask styles, and they would have looked sweet on the new Nuva designs, IMO. Still, since I can't really tell what Gali and Onua's new masks look like yet, I might actually be much more happy with them than with Tahu's new mask. Because, frankly, the January Nuva had okay masks, and I wouldn't be suprised if Tahu has the worst mask out of them all. :-/

To tell you the truth, I actually like the Blocko designs; they seem well made for chinese clones, and if they were technic compatable, I might have actually been interested in them. I especially like that they are not exact rip-offs of official Bionicle kits like the totally cloned Maskers, since they have their own mold style and a lot of unique designs. *y* So, if Gali looked like that light blue Blocko kit, I wouldn't be that mad at all. ;-) Although, many will disagree with me on that one for sure... 8-|

@ Wout - Exactly! I was so upset that lego starwars CS wasn't coming to PC, so now I finally have a chance to slice up some battle droids with something other than a standard game controler! *sweet*

You've got to be kidding me. That's like saying that if you pay the $10 entrance to visit a rally for a polictical cannidate that you hate, and do that just so you can stump them with hardcore questions and make them look like a fool, that you are still supporting their cause. *wacko* Seriously, I can't see how buying one Mistika set officially means you support Lego's new "direction", especially if you hadn't realized how bad the kit was at first and then launched a giant critque online, tearing apart the kit figuratively and discouraging many people from buying this kit. Now, that probably wont happen, but the fact is that unless you truly have a kit in your hands, you may not truly know how good or bad it is. Sure, pictures help, but these "pictures" we have of all the Mistika (aside from Tahu) are smaller than a lot of our avatars! Who knows - they may not be as bad as we thought, especially if we're talking about the Mistika Makuta, who may actually look good. ;-) Oh, and before you scream "grevious is a hypocrite!" let me say that I realize now that the "sliced bread" comment I made was too soon and too judging, considering how small the pictures we got were. For some reason, I failed to see that the new Makuta didn't look that bad. I think I need to stop making posts when I'm tired and need to go to bed... :-|

Well, this isn't really lego related, but I did get this today: I love my new Wii... *wub* Did make a huge dent in my wallet, though, in fact I'm kinda broke right now... so no more legos for a while. :-(

TRANSMISSION SENT TO IMPERIALSCOUTS: REBEL COMMANDER - SZKKKKS - Sorry guys, but I can't send another recording of my escape yet - I'm currently stopping on a planet that I can not name right now, and my ship is low on power - SZZKZKZ - I haven't eaten anything in a week, nor have I gotten any sleep for a long while, so I'm stopping here for the night to regain my energy and to get some supplies. I'll send a transmission tomorow, but for now I have to get some rest - SXZKZKZ - *TRANSMISSION ENDED*

These make the January lineup look like the best thing since sliced bread. Nothing else to say. :-X

Honestly, I like these a lot! To me, they're everything Alpha team wasn't: decent parts packs, cool designs, and good values overall. And I don't mind that the vehicles are oversized, either, as I didn't have a problem with it when we got Lego Batman. ;-)

What game are we playing at the moment?
Zarkan replied to Mr Hobbles's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Yeah, I know, it's part of the Earth 2150 series, which I have also played a BIT. Unfortunately, it's a lot worse than Warzone 2100, IMO, and far more clumsy and slow. Believe it or not, I failed the tutorial mission TWICE, even though I had more units. :-| However, Warzone 2100's unit customazation is a LOT different than Earth 2150, and really plays a much bigger part in it. Making new, more powerful units using new tech found in enemy bases is really the main gameplay premesis, thus there are a TON of different combinations, with tons of turets, bodies, and - er, I'm rambling. :-P -
Oh, and then Fish-Man-Karzahni got caught in a giant metal fish next, but not before he went totally pscyco and - WAIT A MINUTE. I like the storyline, so why am I doing this again? *wacko* :-P Eh, all in good fun.

TRANSMISSION SENDING TO REBEL COMMANDER IMPERIAL SCOUTS: Escape record #1: I had been in that prison on Mustafar for nearly a year, and all the while I was homing in on my force skills - and thinking. Thinking about how I could have prevented my capture and the loss of one of my limbs, my jedi starfighter, and even my lightsaber my Master gave me. But, eventually, I stopped dwelling in the past, and thought about my future. Eventually, I devised an escape plan. I remembered back when my family had served General Grievous how Magna Guards were built, and I eventually realized that they did have a weakness. So, one boring day at Mustafar, I slowly concentrated on the Magna guard who was watching my cell, and pulled away a part within the workings. The guard crumpled to the ground near my cell, but I knew that I didn't have much time, as the alarm had been sounded. Using his staff, I opened my cell and ran through the coridors, using my senses to warn me of any nearby guards and Imperial personal. I had to escape this wretched planet, and I would either make it out, or die taking out as many of the Imperial scum here as I could. ENDING TRANSMISSION....

What in blazes? DELAYED AGAIN?! Oh man, time to get the crying smilies out... :'-( *sing* Well, at least it looks like we just got ourselves another month of Dojo updates... :-/ Oh, and my favorite character in both games is Captain Falcon. He's fast, powerful, and has an awesome voice. What's not to like? :-P Unfortunatley, there IS a problem: the fact that we haven't seen an update like THIS yet... |-/

I'm sure there's some people here that like the Smash Brothers series like I do, so I thought I'd make a place where we can talk about it. It is, after all, one of the best series on the Nintendo Consoles, and the latest addition has Non-Nintendo stuff in it as well. ;-) Starting off - the latest update on the Smash Bros. Dojo was pretty cool. It's good that there's not as much guesswork involved in unlocking stuff anymore, even if it takes a while to get info on how to get everything. Yet another reason why I have to get it, as well as a Wii. *sweet*

I'm currently playing some of an obscure but cool RTS called Warzone 2100. It's a lot different than command and conquer because you can actively design your own units using researchable propulsion units, bodies, and weapons/equipment. If anyone here has heard of it besides me, please share! ;-) -
TRANSMISSION RECORDING - SEND TO IMPERIALSCOUTS: REBEL COMMANDER - TRANSMIT NOW: SKZZZZ - This is Grevious, my rebel friends - SZKZKZ - due to the secrecy I need to opperate with right now, I can not give you exact my location - SZSZKZ - I can tell you however that I have sucessfuly escaped my inprisionment on Mustafar, since they (the imperials) will have already known for a while by now - ZZSKZZ - I am planning to work my way back to the Rebel base of opperations, but in order to keep the Imperials off my back I am not returning just yet - ZSKZKZ - I will be transmitting my escape story shortly, but it will be encrypted, so I hope you get my friends at the decoding station working on it - ZSKZKZ - For now, this is Grevious, signing off - ZSSKSKZSZKZK - *transmission ended*

Well, I DID ask someone to close it, but SOMEONE thought it was funny to leave it open and let it go way beyond just one page... *points at Fabuland moderator* :-P

The 10 reasons you know you are a true lego fan
Zarkan replied to Zarkan's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Hm, maybe that should be a #11: You know you are a true lego fan when you think so much about legos that you see your dream sets up while you are sleeping. :-P Come to think of it, that means I COULD be a true lego fan as well, since I dreamed about seeing the latest images of 2007 lego kits back in 2006 before we had much info. X-D -
WARNING: This list may contain exaggerations and common misconceptions and is to be read with caution. Taking anything below this seriously may result in a severe mocking by your forum-mates. Reason #10: You

Best: Bane. Bane rocks, PERIOD. *sweet* Worst: Despite being a bionicle fan, I really have to say the Bionicle Barraki Figures, since they simplified the arms, did not all have the right heads, and were just far worse than 2006's figures, which were pretty good. :-X

How I got my new title. Grah, at least it's better than being stuck with the title of "gungan"... :-X :-P
-
You guys are jerks... :'-( :-P Eh, I guess I need to watch Raiders of the Lost Ark again. But ironically, I kinda expected that something like this would happen, since Eurobricks can sometimes be one of the craziest forums ever, despite being made up of AFOL's and teens. X-D\ Edit: Whoops, got a new title! Let me guess who did that... *looks at Starwars 4J and Hinckley* Hm, but I guess it's better than that gungan rebel title I had for a year... blame that on my previous obsession with the Tie Army thread. :-P
-
.... Woah, I never noticed that! Man, looks like Lego was totally right... :-$ Crud, I did it again.... but I guess I can't blame TLC for this silly addition - I can blame the makers of the movie! >:-) Er, close this please. I think I've had enough embarasment for a while... :-|
-
Okay, we all love the Indy sets, since it's kinda hard not to. But one thing still bothers me about the theme -mainly the Lost Tomb kit. Because, frankly, what are Anubis statues doing in the scene that shows the Lost Ark? I mean, of course TLC doesn't have to mention that "the ancient treasure really is the lost ark of the covenant between Israel and God," as that would probably be both unneeded and a magnet for lawsuits and other trouble. But those anubis statues kinda make the whole kit silly, since the scene in the movie obviously didn't have them. A 10 year old kid that watched Raiders of the Lost ark could probably figure out that something was wrong with his lego kit of the scene! So, if I ever did get that kit, those silly statues would go into the parts bin for sure, replaced with big torches or something. ;-) Does anyone else agree? Anyone disagree? Is there anyone that doesn't really care at all and thinks that I'm making too big a deal out of this? :-P

Nice creations! Seriously, I think this would be pretty cool as a MOC sub-theme, kinda like Steampunk. ;-) Still, I think I'll stay with my Striking Venom. A giant arensal of lasers and rockets kinda creams a steam powered flamethrower and hammer, after all. X-D
