  1. Happy birthday, Sne! Now, all you need is your classic space theme next year, and everything will be wonderful!
  2. It was an extremely short lived theme from 2000. Only 5 sets were made - none of them good.
  3. Happy birthday, Mr. Joker Avatar! Hope you get lots of legoey goodness and such.
  4. Just something that I've been working on, now that I've been learning how to use Maya. So far I have this done:
  5. Thanks for an awesome review, WhiteFang. Oh man, this is just simply AMAZING! The detail level is top notch, the figures are awesome and well equipped, and the design is wonderful! And with all those wonderful weapons and bricks, you can't go wrong! Seriously, TLC is really spoiling everyone this year. All the major groups have awesome exclusives - City fans have Green Grocer, Town Plan, and Custom Cars; Space fans have the Star Justice and Space Skulls sets, Starwars fans have the Death Star playset, and Castle fans have this beauty! Will the rain of exclusive goodies never end?
  6. Actually, it would be Lego Starwars IV. Lego Starwars III was already released - it's called LSW: The Complete Saga.
  7. Honestly, I've never really watched Spongebob much, but these three years of kits overall are really amazing. They've managed to capture the zany elements of the show with lots of funny details, really imaginative minifigs, and very well designed kits that are each a separate, unique story. I'm especially pleased that they've given multiple versions of Spongebob with different expressions - that really must add to the playability factor. I think that TLC really has learned some lessons about making Liscensed themese since the early years after the Starwars purchase. Back in the first half of this last decade, Lego made a lot of seemingly cheap and quick themes like NBA, Mickey Mouse, and the despised Galidor, while ruining other themes that could have been great - most notably Jurassic Park. Nowadays, TLC's liscensed efforts seem to be a lot more researched and well designed. This theme as well as others like Batman and Indiana Jones are some of the best we've had in recent years, and I can't wait to see what TLC does next.
  8. I don't buy this either. Why would they plan new kits only to have them deleted from the lineup later? And having only one year of an AMAZING and really popular liscense when we've had three of Spongebob and FIVE of Harry Potter doesn't make any sense.
  9. No. Honestly, I'm not into the Olympics at all, and I'm especially indifferent to them this year. I personally think that it's a worldwide disgrace for China to host the games, with their corrupt goverment, poor human rights records, and bad treatment of their own people. I've read that entire housing blocks were teared down, with little compensation for the Chinese citizens who once lived there. Oh, and I also don't buy all that "China is changing their ways" bull. China is just trying to cover up what they've done until the games are over, and after that things will be back to their despicable ways.
  10. Awesome news! Well, I think it's safe to say that we'll probably be getting another Batman game, since that is one of Warner Brothers' biggest franchises. But what could the other be? Well, I think I may have an idea. I found out online that the new Starwars Clone Wars movie is being co-produced with Warner Brothers. It might be very possible that TLC will make another starwars game based on the movie and TV show, once they make a first season of the show.
  11. I was looking at the awesome bat tumbler, when suddenly I saw this and was like "WHAT THE HECK!" Well, like the infamous bat-nipples, I suppose we now we need a name for this disturbing feature as well. Bat-balls? Bat-nuts? Bat-crotch?
  12. Heh, I'd disagree with that. First of all, that lime green warrior is a Gorast Prototype I think, so I'm glad it's not the final version. The design looks extremely cruddy, but more importantly - it doesn't look like a girl in any way! On the other hand, the final Gorast actually looks somewhat like a muscular feminine character, which is very good. Also, the Mistika prototypes are almost exactly the same as the final versions, aside from the wonky colors. I see NO difference between the Tahu prototype and the final version, design wise.
  13. *jaw drops* RADICAL, dude! Those cars have to be some of the most detailed minifig scale vehicles I've ever seen in an official lego set. And I think some of those minifigs have new torsos too! Man, TLC is really giving us a boatload of exclusive goodies this year. Modular building sets, Factory sets, UCS sets, landmark sets... this is lego heaven!
  14. Neither of you may know it, but that batman toy is really just a remake of an old Rescue Hero toy, with a police cop called Jake Justice and the same missile thing and bike design. Even the figure design is very similar! know, because my brother got that toy when he was younger, and we still have it.
  15. Well, after a long wait, I FINALLY got to see The Dark Knight. And wow, it was just incredible. This movie really has rewritten the superhero movie genere, and it has the potential to forever stand as the greatest comic book movie EVER. One stunning part was how evil the Joker really was. I must say that Darth Vader, Green Goblin, Lex Luthor, and practically every villian ever really have nothing on this version of the crazed clown. He is the ultimate villian - a man who kills for the sake of killing, laughing all the way. At the same time, it was so great to see how people stood up to the Joker, and literally slapped evil in the face. The scene on the ferry, where the prisoner threw the detonator out the window, was extremely moving. Also, Batman now is really my favorite superhero ever. It was so sad to see how Batman gave up his public appearance in order to save all the work Harvey Dent did before his transformation, but at the same time it was so satisfying. Batman is so selfless in this movie, and his sacrifice may be one of the most powerful movie endings ever. So, overall, I was amazed. This is simply one of the best movies I've ever seen, and virtually flawless in its execution. I only really have one question: how is Christopher Nolan going to top this in the third movie?
  16. Indeed. All that model needs is a gold and while color scheme, and he would be the ultimate set. Unfortunately, due to the size and the total lack of shooter mechanisms, we'll never see anything close to that. Heh, nope. Greg most likely isn't allowed to get near this site because it constantly discusses every leak that ever comes out of TLC.
  17. Simply stunning! The detail looks awesome, and I love how they did the dome. It's really great that we're getting so many awesome exclusives nowdays, and I applaud TLC for making sets for the older crowd.
  18. Man, I love the whirly bat, the batusi, and especially the bat lamp. The batpod has to be the best of them though - it's basically perfect and spot on. Can't wait to see more, if you're doing any more.
  19. Awesomeness. Man, this is one of your best creations yet. The detail is stunning, and some of the techniques like the lake and the lettering are wonderful. I love the whole thing.
  20. Dino Attack quad for me. No, this isn't because I own it and not the other one, but because I think just about everything is better in it - the design is better, the colors are cooler, and it has a better figure. I don't like the figure in the coast guard quad at all - but since it was from World City, I'm not suprised. I also kinda like the dino, actually. It's flexible and fits in with the previous dinos a lot better than the cruddy bigger ones with bright red, yellow, and green highlights.
  21. Thank you for the nice review, Sinner. Well, if you're meaning REALLY old sets, than I agree with you, but a lot of the sets from the very late 1970s and onwards are still very nice. This set just isn't a good example, that's all. OH, and I also agree with you about that police boat. However, the newer one in the CITY line is also great, IMO. The only thing that weighs against it is the giant size, which makes it feel awkward in more classic towns.
  22. It's actually far more serious than that. When the mars mission site first was released, they had a small game where you played as a human collecting crystals. If the aliens catched up to you and you lost, you heard eating sounds and a burp. That whole game basically summed up the premise of the MM storline: the humans started out peaceful and went to Mars just for exploration, until the aliens captured some of their pilots and ate them. Only then did the human fight back against the cannibalistic aliens. In summary, the humans are fairly peaceful, while the aliens are barbaric.
  23. True, although most everybody keeps saying that the Dark Knight far outclasses Batman Begins. But nevermind, as this is way off topic. Anyway, another little tibit of info that Greg gave was that the concept of "masks of power" will play a role in 2009. Okay, so on the first sight, it sounds like a repeat of the last few years - but I'm thinking it may actually be more like the first three years, since Greg has said that 2009 is going back to the original Bionicle feeling.
  24. I think the Dark Knight is making everybody forget about anything that came before it, including Batman Begins.
  25. Great index, Sinner. Glad to see that my exo-force mocs made it.
