  1. Okay guys, here's an official answer from Greg about this whole fiasco: I know this probably still won't convince some people, but this statement combined with the other evidence we've seen leads me to be pretty sure that Antrozek is just playing this whole thing up. It's not suprising to me though, since I don't see how Greg could slip up that bad - considering how well he does the Q&A on BZP without revealing more than he wants to. Well, a lot of people think that his lego kit will not be in the same form he is at the end of 2008 - possibly switching bodies and spirits. That's the whole thing that started this whole mess with Antrozek, GregF, and BZPower!
  2. From what I can tell, it looks like that is just a small two page alternate model, not the main instructions. Brickster, do the main instructions use the normal style, or are they real photos like that?
  3. Thanks for the review! This is one of the few CITY sets that I own (despite loving the theme so much, most of my town is either custom or classic), and it's about as beautiful as a big garbage truck can ever be. Well, the truck BARELY fits onto the old roadplates (not on curves though), so if you put it in a display it probably won't look bad. I think from what I see, this and all the other 6 wide vehicles will fit much better on the newer roadplates, which are four studs wider than the old ones.
  4. 'Well, in that case: EPIC WIN. False. The reality is, that before you posted this, I checked your profile, and all your topics and posts are recorded in there. Sure, this so-called theory topic may still have been erased, but since you already lied about this, I don't think I can believe you. No, he's right - since Andrew billed that theory as true info, through logical means you can deduce that he either is lying or he got it from a leak. Unless of course, you've read this whole conversation.
  5. Antrozek, was THIS your topic? It sure looks familiar.... More importantly, if so, this means that he lied. I don't see any bannings - only a speculation topic that was rightfully closed. Not suprising, considering that you provided no info to back up your claims, AND you were talking about the leaked pictures. This version of that theory sure won't be getting Bones' Key to Nongu award.
  6. Nope, it's actually a piece from the awful Jack Stone line. I unfortunately have a couple of those kits, so I know where those pieces come from.
  7. I honestly don't trust Antrozek at all. Why should we believe that he's figured out the 2008 storyline completely, when nobody else has?
  8. Who's immature? The people making those hideous beasts, or the people that may be complaining about you posting that comic? But in all seriousness, there's no way that TLC will allow that kind of monkey buisness in their game. Sure, things might slip through ocassionally, but as a whole the game will no doubt be heavily moderated. Besides, didn't the creators of Spore say that the game now censors those kinds of "creatures" from actually entering other games or the sporopedia?
  9. Who says they will be forced? Besides, what's so bad about having your own lego treehouse in virtual space? Just the fact that they had several custom torsos on the concept video makes me think that it won't be limited at all. I'm betting there may even be a custom torso option - as long as they moderate what content people put on it. Again, look at the concept video. Just from one scene we see a giant city with lego apes on skyscrapers, lego mechs running through the city, giant steampunk airships, and a lot more things - all which fits perfectly in the lego world. Besides, every lego game since Lego Starwars has had non lego thing and custom pieces in the landscapes and objects- it's made like that so the designers don't have to go through the hassle of making every last grass blade an official lego piece. I think the quests will be more varried and complex than that - imagine if one quest dealt with raiding a troll fortress and stealing a special brick, then fighting your way out of it? I think that would be cool - especially since you'd probably be doing it with other players. There will probably be no fighting between players, yes, but there certainly will be fighting against enemies! Just look at the battle with the darkling in the concept video - that sure looks like fighting to me! Besides, there will probably be other ways to compete against other players - why else would they have a minigame designing contest on the official website? Read the previous answer. It isn't as simple as this - we may not be killing each other in the game, but we will probably be competing in minigames - which may include battling of some kind. Imagine if one of the minor modes was kart racing or mech battling? That would be awesome. Don't count that out yet - who knows, we might be able to make custom vehicles to use in the overworld. A MMOG can not be linear - it's set in an open, free world, with the ability to interact with the enviroment, go to other areas, and work with other players. This is a bit weird, I admit, but it's probably like that because studs look like lego pieces themselves. According to the site, plastic is supposed to be the basic material from which all lego pieces are made from - not something you use to buy lego. So, you can trade not just lego bricks but also the material used to make them. From what I've seen in the trailers and screenshots, I already see City, Fantasy, Steampunk, Mecha, and even Ninja elements and characters - and I'm sure there will be more. The designers have even hinted at the possibility of adding liscensed themes after the game launches - permitting that the companies that own the liscenses like the idea. If there isn't chatting, I'll be very supprised. It will most certainly be moderated, but there has got to be some communication form for any MMOG to work. Again, this is an open world game - not a linear game like Lego Starwars, Lego Batman, etc. I think it's best not to compare those two kinds of lego games, as they are made by totally different developers and with different ideas in mind. What's wrong with the designers being creative? I'm sure a lot of fans were really excited when they saw some of those elements from steampunk, Warcraft-style fantasy, and other areas that the official sets don't touch. IMO, it would be uncreative and wrong for the designers to stick within the actual sets for this game, when there is so much more they can do. I highly doubt there will be sets of all the stuff that is in Lego Universe, apart from the elements already present in the current sets. Look at all the lego minifgures that Traveling Tales has made in their games - Lego hasn't made any of their designs into official figures (case in point - the new Magna guards look totally different from the ones in Lego Starwars 1). Look, this is a MMOG - a montly pay system is nothing out of the ordinary, and I don't fault TLC for doing it this way. Why do you think it will be like this? The Traveling Tales games are simple, and yet they are fun to play over and over again. And this game promises to be much deeper, varried, and more complex than those games. You do have a point on this. That's why it's crucial for parents not to let their kids get addicted to this or any other games. If they let their kids play for hours and hours on end, then it's their fault, not TLCs. You don't have to be. I think you do have plenty of legitimate concerns about this game, but it's best not to worry to much at all until we get more info. This game isn't coming out until late 2009, for crying out loud! Who knows what Netdevil could accomplish in that amount of time. I think the best thing you can do right now is to sit back and wait for the game info to unfold. Or, you can go one step further and submit you ideas to the official site - the whole reason why they are having these online workshop challenges is so they can see what people want in the game, so giving them your ideas wouldn't hurt.
  10. I honestly don't get why you guys are getting so excited about a quick glimpse of the Olda masks. Sure, it's cool, but I wouldn't agree that this little nod to the old bionicle is better than a lot of the other stuff this year. I'm far more excited about the supposedly shocking ending to Bionicle as we know it, and the latest instalations in the books and serials.
  11. Yes, but the CLASSIC comics, not the current crap. The day when Batman starts calling himself the G-d-D--m batman onscreen is the day the batman franchise is destroyed once and for all. I agree - I think people are being too hard on this line, just like they were being too hard on Agents when we saw the first pictures. Hopefully the reaction will be more positive when we get better pictures.
  12. Thanks for the nice review. BTW, "Pizza Boy" is actually called Pepper Roni, and "Hippie Chick" is called Sky Lane. Honestly, I've always thought that Island Extreme Stunts was a pointless theme. The designs weren't that great, the kits were overpriced, and the figures paled compared to the original versions seen in the first Lego Island game (especially the Infomaniac - his neat and orderly original version was far better than the messy, disjointed version in this theme). Still, I must admit that it does have some interesting pieces, and it was the first theme to introduce minifig skateboards.
  13. Well, like Shoc said, don't count out elves yet. We already have some great evidence that they will be the main focus of this year's castle sets - which is the best place for them to be. Yes, that would be awesome! There's tons of ideas that could be done in a theme like that - giant Greek structures with Greek soldiers and gods fighting against the army of Hades. We could have Hercules, the Hydra, the Titans, the temple of Zeus - etc etc etc. It would make for a great theme and would combine all the great elements of a normal history theme and a mythology theme. I don't think it would be necessary to use Romans though - most of their main myths are just copies of the Greek myths.
  14. Heh, I've known about Harvey's death for weeks. Ign.com had an article about this a while ago, where they showed that the novelization of The Dark Knight had a detailed description of a dead Two Face. Still, it's very dissapointing. I wish they had just killed off the Joker and brought back Two Face in the third movie - but I guess Heath Ledger's death was such a suprise that they didn't have any time or means to do that.
  15. To quote Luke Skywalker: "I have a very bad feeling about this..." Man, I hope the Maori don't start threatening Lego and BZPower again - this could be very bad for buisness.
  16. Hm, a violent warrior god? Awesome.
  17. I just don't get it - TLC's base of opperations in America is Enfield Connecticut, and yet they still haven't opened a SINGLE lego store in CT, which is also my home state! This is really annoying - I want to get more pick a brick cups and hard to find sets in the future like everyone else.
  18. This honestly doesn't make sense, from what I see on Bricklink. At least according to their color chart, there are only two main shades of puple: old, bright purple, which was used in Technic, Bionicle, AND ABS - and the newer, darker purple, which has been used in everything from the Knights Kingdom kits to one of the X-pods to a couple kits this year. All the other purple shades have only been used in minor themes like Belvile, or a few other sets. Also, I own a technic racer with some purple tubes and beams, and an alpha team set that had a couple of purple modified tiles. From what I can tell, there is a minor color difference between the tubes and tiles, but it's very small. And there is basically NO difference between the technic beams and tiles. What's the big deal? When all of this adds up, I think that the guy who made this decision is overeacting. I just compared some soft blue technic parts to regular ABS blue parts, and there's a tiny difference there as well. Does this meant that TLC has to stop making blue parts as well? This really seems to be a big deal over something that the average consumer won't even notice, and the MOC'er won't care much about at all.
  19. Even more horrible than Jack Stone, Znap, 4+ Pirates, Island Extreme Stunts, or Galidor? I think that's a bit extreme, if you ask me. Besides, even if you still end up not liking the designs after better pictures come out, what's so bad about a possible huge ammount of sand green bricks? That's a color we don't get too often, so this could be really great for MOCers.
  20. Except that the actual "modern weapons" are actually fire hose pieces and unrealistic laser guns. Besides, it's also very debatable whether Pirates and Castle are any less violent. Castle features lots of melee weapons which technically deal far more bloody deaths in real life than the average gun does, and Pirates is a whole line focused on barbarous looters of towns. But I understand that you feel differently about this. Sorry if I angered you.
  21. Guys, calm down! Those pictures are small, blurry, and probably color dilluted. The same thing happened when the first Agents picture came out - most everybody hated the look - but as of now Agents is far more appreciated. Wait until better pictures come out before making your final decision. Question: have you actually purchased any agents sets? Because the general opinion now is a lot more positive than it was before better pictures came out and the sets were released. The design is far better than you make it out to be - and I don't see how it's very violent.
  22. Actually, that doesn't worry me - since the list is incomplete. Legomilk said months ago that there would be far more than just three castle sets. Besides, with a TV show coming out next year, and a possible second game, I can't see why Lego wouldn't make more sets. So I'm not worried at all.
  23. Thanks for the great review! This is one of my favorite CITY kits from 2007. I think it's a lot better than the cement mixer from the classic town theme - and it has some cool pieces too.
  24. Great ideas! Here's some more of my own: Pie Store - a ruined building that used to sell pies of all kinds. The Agents are investigating this for clues, but they don't realize that the Brotherhood of Pie has rigged the building to explode! Pie Truck - A giant truck with pie wheels, which is loaded with pie bombs and is the Agent's ultimate weapon against the Brotherhood of Pie. Pie Plane - A big flying pie with wings and jets, which is powered by pie filling. This is the Brothehood of Pie's secret weapon. Pie Nuke - A weapon that can turn the entire earth into a pie when detonated. The Brotherhood of Pie threatens to use it if the world does not submit to the power of pie! Pie Soldier - The Brotherhood of Pie's devoted followers. They carry Pie Throwers and wear Pie filled armor Pie Thrower - A weapon that throws explosive pies at enemies. Pie Soldiers carry this. General Grandmaster Pie T. Piepie - The leader of the Brotherhood of Pie. You don't want to mess with him.
  25. Thanks guys! By the way, the "flowers" behind the scarecrow are supposed to be corn stalks.
