  1. Very original MOC indeed, but please do resize that photo to 800x600. That's the maximum resolution allowed on these boards (and btw, this also applies to your other pics). Thanks!
  2. Brilliant scene!
  3. I wouldn't be so sure about that.
  4. Those sail-style printed decals sound really interesting. I'd try that first if I were you.
  5. Whoa, so you really are a member of the Greek mafia; cementing ex-girlfriends and all... Although come to think of it, I must totally agree with peterab - ex's are just better off left under (at least) 10 layers of cement. As to my bike exploits - I've been waiting for news on what could be a "big opening" for me for the last 2 months. I was kinda hoping it'd happen by mid-March so I could properly celebrate the official start of the season (last weekend of March around here), but I guess it wasn't meant to be. Still keeping my fingers crossed though... In any case, it's a good thing I still haven't got a bike since it's proving to be a pretty weird year in terms of weather. There were two weeks of perfect spring weather at the end of March, but since then it's been strong winds non-stop - and yesterday it even snowed.
  6. Nice hogs; you've captured the shape perfectly! Since you're reworking the front forks anyway, have you considered trying to aim the headlights down a bit? I know that OCC choppers really have very little to do with practicality, but still...
  7. Loving your take on the opposed-twin configuration! What model precisely is this one? And btw could I suggest trying to fit some exhausts? There seem to be some nice options for the attachment of those with this specific engine and besides, they'd really complete the cafe racer look.
  8. Svelteless times call for svelty measures...

    Well... will it work? :D

  9. Happy birthday mate :) Have a good one!
  10. Actually, we have a good whole topic dedicated to this kind of posts / announcements / fanfares. You could possibly say your goodbyes there. Possibly a very good question Possibly. There's also a good possibility that this topic will now be closed.
  11. Yup, congratulations on making the Brother Brick and Brick Town Talk frontpages as well :] Thoroughly deserved!
  12. As I said on Flickr - it's the great combination of these two that really makes it work for me. Looks like a real downtown street from the 30s - great vibe and a great build!
  13. Hauptbahnhof in bricks! Yay!
  14. The great details make this one really stand out! Great job
  15. Here's the entire discussion so far. And yes, ME Models rock :)
  16. I was pretty certain you'd continue developing this idea and I must say it has come a long way, especially in terms of design. Your initial opening-door PF mechanism and train was awesome, but this one is even better. The fact that you've managed to provide 100% functionality and still keep as much of the interior as possible is awe-inspiring!
  17. That's got to be the steepest ramp I've seen! A daredevil ride indeed
  18. It did take me a while, but I've finally gotten around to blogging this. Beautiful job, as always, Tony! Hope you'll still be able to find the time for these and for all your LEGO endeavours in the future - not having a new beautiful steamer from you every other month would be a huge miss...
  19. I can't imagine anyone not regretting having had the opportuniy to get the Emerald Night and having missed out on it. I know that the price is steep, especially when you consider all the PF you'd need in order to power it. But: Yes. Then again - it depends whether you actually have / are planning to get rails / train station, etc., because otherwise it's half the fun. Not to mention all the PF. It also depends on what kind of trains you like, of course, but while diesel and electric LEGO trains are common, a full-spec LEGO steamer is something you wouldn't see too often lately. If I had to choose between the EN and the Maersk Train, I'd definitely buy the EN again.
  20. Happy birthday TPRU and Boss! Lots of tiny pies for the one and a huge pie for the other one :] Cheers guys, have a great day!
  21. I hadn't realised this was actually based on a real-life building/scene. All the more impressive then! As to the diorama being overloaded - not the least! In fact, it's as easy on the eyes as they come - to be perfectly honest, yours is the kind of style I seem to appreciate the most in terms of realism / building techniques, etc., so there's no way you could go wrong there :] Pleasure's all mine
  22. It does look like it came out of a Mad Max movie!!! And I love it :] Chunkiness on!
  23. Thought I'd step in and help Fangy out a bit here. First post updated as of April 10

    Sport Shop

Lookin good, Tony! Keep it up :] As for the exterior - a sports shop would look good in a neo modernistic building of sorts, so you could try this for inspiration:
  25. 7642 is actually a surprisingly good set, both in terms of design, and pieces included. I'd most definitely recommend it, especially if it's discounted.
