  1. For some reason I was expecting to see South Park Timmy... And I can't say I'm too creeped out by the end result since that could easily be melting chocolate Seriously though, great choice of colours to enhance the effect of contrast there. Guess it's not just kids who fear what's under their beds.
  2. Gorgeous -- and it's great that you also provided pics of the underside and the technicy bits; I did notice some rather interesting ideas there. As Toastie said, your work seems to be in a class of its own, but sharing your insights is always a very nice gesture.
  3. I have to agree, this beauty needs to be displayed in public. An incredible model indeed - not sure how many people would actually go and purchase it via the whole Cuusoo thing, but you definitely need to consider arranging a permanent public display for this. With that in mind, it would, of course, be best if you refrained from Splat's scene of choice...
  4. I used to abhor sorting and the idea that I'd have to sift through tons of bricks in order to make them usable for MOCcing. Seeing as it's been over a year and a half since I last touched any LEGO though, I must admit I'm actually really looking forward to the sorting process now. I think of it as a prelude of sorts, before I get started with the great part. Of course, I'll only get around to actually doing any sorting once I've finally got a proper place for all the LEGO - but something tells me this time around it's actually going to be fun. I can't wait to go to the store and buy a bunch of new sorting boxes, and even the fact that I'll probably have to clean a big chunk of my collection doesn't seem like a big deterrent. Btw, sorting after a few beers is definitely more enjoyable - I must agree with Rook there. Haven't tried extra-caffeinated-sorting, but I'm not sure I'll enjoy that too much. Besides, I'd expect that keeping the dog out of the room while sorting generally does also tend to energize quite a bit.
  5. And in Top Gear too :) But yes, I agree that he's way past his prime, as is the case with Schumi. I simply can't understand why he would want to disgrace himself with this charade - he should just step down and give a young driver the chance to actually make a difference in that team. That's just like him though - why should he do the sensible thing when he can keep playing his games. Btw - seeing Caterham among the official names for this season sounds a bit like having Triumph in MotoGP... That said, they've had experience with their chassis over the last couple of years, so let's hope they'll be able to build on that.
  6. Booo, says the otterbunny from beyond the grave...

  7. I'd love love LOVE to play but I'll be away from July 20 until August 1 with no info as of yet regarding my Internet connectivity during that period... so perhaps I should not push too much for this. That said, I do want so play in this SO much
  8. 10 days left until the contest deadline and just ONE entry so far. I guess people are totally uninterested in the Maersk Train, or buying themselves some LEGO and having it delivered to them, all for free. So if you want to get that train, I guess now's the time...
  9. Loving the barrels! Great use for those pieces, definitely expect me to steal that sometime in the future Can't wait for more pics of the truck, you've done an awesome job!!
  10. This otter be interesting! Let's see just how many fans I've got In all seriousness: Not a huge fan of the series myself per se, seeing as I haven't played that many Metroid games :/ I just like the name... obviously
  11. Cheers for British humoUr (:P) at its best - Stephen Fry, Hugh Laurie & the Monty Python guys. Oh, and Rowan Atkinson too. Doesn't really get much better than that, now does it :]

  12. You covered a lot of things with wool, actually...
  13. Thanks, Rickoon, mah man! CallMe: I won't call you pie unless you start using Google more
  14. As some of you guys might already be aware, the Bulgarian LUG has organized an international contest where all of you MOCcers out there are welcome to present "The Architecture of Your City" and try to win the gorgeous Maersk Train Set. In an attempt to strengthen bonds on a local level, we have invited all LUGs and AFOLs from Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia, Romania, Serbia, Greece, Turkey and Bulgaria to participate - so if you come from one of those countries, we're looking forward to seeing your entry! The rules are presented in this here thread where you can also post any questions you might have. There's just about less than a month left in the contest (the deadline is June 30), so get MOCcing already! Looking forward to seeing your MOCs - and thanks to the EB admins for allowing me to put up this little reminder here as well!
  15. Sieggy! Once again, cheers mate! Hope that at least on its birthday, the walrus finally got fed... or is that a bad thing to wish for?
  16. Been drinking with Hunter, huh? P.S.: The Mafia writeboard was pure fun. Cheers for that guys... We sure taught you a lesson!
  17. Ro, there's always plenty of room for improvisation, provided that you stick to the plan. Playing a Mafia game isn't about acting out and letting your imaginations running wild though, it's about a) getting the damn scum once and for all; or b) killing every last stupid Townie. Wits, straight thinking, plots and deceit are the driving force behind the game and if that's not your kettle of fish, you end up having less fun and also harming your side's chances of survival. I for one still can't for the love of me grasp why you voted against yourself on Day 3 and almost ruined the plan which we had gone through at least a dozen times. To me, that was the icing on the cake in your... erm, acting. P.S.: Mystery games aren't drama class either, because there you have to adhere to other rules... But I think that once you grasp the essence of these online-based games, you'll start having much more fun.
  18. - NYEWM! [ So loving this title! I presume it was given to me by Josh... In case you're wondering, this is what "NNNNYEWM!" actually sounds / looks like. Jeff Dunham is awesome, but Peanut is simply the greatest! ]
  19. Here's Betsy's bio: I tried to roleplay with mine and Randy Rabbit's marriage problems a bit, but his response was always "I love you Betsy, I do", so instead I decided to put on a bit of a drama queen act.
  20. I was wondering - how do you guys feel about sharing your character bios in the thread? Hinck, would that be allowed now that the game is over? It'd really make for a very interesting read, at least for me... It's still bugging me to try and find out what the reason for Ro87n's madness was! P.S.: Judging by your conundrums, it seems you did a great job of ensuring even odds for both sides on the playing field, Hinck. Now if only there had been a way to revive Payton Pig... we'd have turned the Forest upside down as Angry Pig and Bunny
  21. Looking forward to that, I'd really like to play in a game hosted by you in the future. Kudos from me as well, and I hope our lunacy at times hasn't driven you and Hinck too mad. Although then again, how much madder can some people get anyway @ Pandora: Would you like an apple pie with that?
  22. Yay, so Town DID win, after all. That means this rabbit will be much less angry today! I must admit it was vastly disappointing to see it all go down the drain with 3 Townies dying at the end of Day 4, especially after all the hard work and effort that went into rooting out the third scum. All's well that ends well though, so apple sauce all round! And a sausage or two for our best furries... Here's what I thought about the game: * Rant on First of all, hats off to MacK - I think it's safe to say you had all of us dead furries fooled; and watching from the sidelines I admit it didn't ever cross my mind as a firm possibility that you could be a Mafia goon. Well played mate, that was an absolutely great effort! I actually wanted Fuzzy to investigate you after the "operation" in order to be sure whether I can trust you or not and develop some new elaborate anti-mafia plan with you since you seemed like a very logical and proactive player. Turns out you were pulling the wool over our eyes the whole time, and doing a helluva good job of it! Judging by Hinck's comments, it seems that Fuzzy did investigate you, after all, and the sheer fact you tried to convince players that the results of that investigation were wrong and managed to last this long proves that you're a top-notch player. By which I don't mean to disrespect Alopex... who played an awesome game and I'm sure would have been even deadlier if it weren't for Pandora's brilliance. That said though, I was slowly beginning to suspect him as well, which was also the case with Waterbrick Down, so I'm sure it was a matter of time before he'd have had to start pulling the MacK moves in fooling us as well. In a last show of his evil wits, he took down our only useful night player with him! Such a shame... but seriously well played. Speaking of Town night actions, it seems to me that apart from Pandora killing Alopex, there was not much else going for us loyal Townies during the nights, unfortunately :( The Town doctor didn't really help protect anyone, and Fuzzy's investigations, at least for the part during which I was present/aware, were... well, fuzzy, to say the least. Why he'd go around investigating Bricks2000 on Night One was a mystery to me, and by Day 3 he had no valuable info whatsoever since Alopex was also dead as he decided to investigate him. Which actually made Fuzzy ever so slightly suspicious in my eyes. I'm not sure whether he did, in the end, get a proper investigation, but it does seem as though his work helped rooting out MacK the evil mastermind, so good work on that, I guess. Waterbrick Down took a lot of time and effort to play with and I don't think I'll ever be writing explanatory notes as long as the ones we exchanged on the start of Day 3. But deep down I was convinced he was a Townie who was just overthinking it all too much - despite what I perceived to be a few blunders in his gameplay, which is why I wanted to make sure I'm making the right decision in trusting him... Of course, we were done suspecting each other by the time we agreed to do the sting operation, so everything we posted in the Day thread was an elaborate hoax - fuelled by our previous suspicions against each other. In the end, I'm sure that the show we put on in the end of Day 3 made it all worth it - I for one knew it was either me or him going down that night, but our huge charade was incredibly rewarding :] Obviously, it provided proof that the "All guns blazing" approach won't win you the game, but at least it'll make sure you're having lots of fun getting the bad guys to panic As to other Townies I played with - I'm sorry I effectively ruined AtG's game by voting against my own husband, but seriously - your defence was so lacklustre I was convinced I was doing the right thing there! Donut, on the other hand, was a force to be reckoned with; always very reasonable and consistent. He was so good that in the end I actually thought him and Ro87n were also "Lovers" and were trying to win this game together - I thought Donut was a Townie who'd managed to convince the other ones that Ro87n was also loyal when in fact our dark horse was a Mafia goon. Turns out I was wrong, but that tells you a lot about Ro87n's game. His vote against himself on Day 3, after all the hard work we'd put in, was infuriating, and his whole approach to the game was downright weird. Obviously, there was something "insane" about the Horse's role, but he took it to new heights with his non-stop tomfoolery... And then comes Pandora, who easily gets my vote for the MVF (Most Vital Furry) award. Not just because she moved wisely to take down an incredibly important Mafia player - but also because she was a constant voice of reason and logic; and whenever suspicions started running wild, she'd be there to help us Townies get our heads straight and focus. It's a shame she went down so (relatively) early in the game, but it's obvious that her prowess wouldn't go unnoticed. It's been tons of fun playing the game with her - and commenting it from "beyond the grave" afterwards * Rant off Oh, and last but not least - Hinckwey rocks.
  23. Not if Hinck is behind the mechanics' controls, there isn't
  24. It's amazing how you keep on going despite the fact that it's obviously the game host's decision how to 'end' their game. You have the answer to your questions with regards to this particular game two posts above. I guess now there's nothing else left but to return to commenting on Shadows dying all the time. Oh wait, he actually didn't die today. Poor guys; no new food for thought, huh...
