  1. http://us.service.lego.com/en-US/replacementparts/default.aspx There you go Fill in the form on the Customer Service website and the missing parts will be delivered to your address, regardless of your location. You don't need to contact local representatives / shops. Missing parts are nothing irregular, the good thing is that LEGO Customer Service is very swift in handling the issue. Hope that helps!
  2. Loving the seaside house - must buy multiple copies of that, those light blue bricks and green / blue plates will sure come in handy (no baseplate, not bad)! The transport chopper also looks quite nice. Definitely not interested in the truck though - if they'd tried making it in other colours (enough red / yellow transportation Creator sets already!), then perhaps I might even have considered it a good set, but as things stand, 6753 was much more amazing (and, of course, more expensive).
  3. How bout unicorns then? I can just glue a tooth to a pony et voila...? Would have special powers too (for once )!
  4. Lost in the forest of life [Bestowed upon me by Rufus, I presume... Planning to become "finally found" after having taken a lengthy hiatus from LEGO and EB. Perhaps I should open EB's first Lost and Found office?] P.S.: I'd forgotten what a wacky process trying to update the titles in this thread was... Ah, feels good to be home
  5. Who needs Wall-E when you've got this guy finding flowers in the weirdest places! What an awesome MOC!
  6. Yep, that actually happens very often. Considering the seller's 100% rating and the slightly broken English, I presume it's all a misunderstanding. And I also very much agree that if someone is stupid enough to bid/ buy without actually reading through the entire auction, or even contacting the seller in case there's any sort of a possibility of misunderstanding / problem, then it's their own fault. The usual story: boxes of sets (and items other than LEGO) sold for 100+ USD / EUR; and only upon receiving the empty box does the buyer realize he hasn't bothered to actually read the description. It is misleading, but then again if it's all clearly stated, it's not the seller's fault.
  7. Ah, wonderful one indeed -- I think I'm in love! I can already envisage that gorgeous concept of yours used in microscale display projects... And just caught myself planning how trams would look in "One". That's a very ingenious and instantly recognizable take on trains & microscale - thank you for this awesomeness!
  8. That actually sounds pretty damn nice You do your sorting while still being together with your girl, AND not letting yourself be distracted from the awesomeness that is Blackadder... I should know; I used to build / sort while watching Blackadder and I only realized that I hadn't been paying any attention to Rowan Atkinson's greatness once I'd gone through all the episodes... Lesson learned - never watch anything of significance and build/sort at the same time!
  9. I'm offensive and I find this awesome. Or vice versa? Welcome to Eurobricks Hazza - with such amazing creations, it's a good place to stick around, right? How about you introduce yourself, so that we'd have an opportunity to get to know you better? As to the reality check - not sure if it's really necessary? Not everyone can have all the time/money/space they need in order to work on great MOCs, but there's lots of us who've found EB to be an incredible source of inspiration and have actually decided to take up big projects after seeing works such as this one here... @maydayartist - You got started with this project just as I had completely realized that I was once again in a MOCcing-impossible-Dark-Ages kind of period. And seeing/ following this one has really made these "ages" quite a bit lighter for me. You rock mate... thank you
  10. Tres cool, the turbine up front works great as the focal point, but the details are equally impressive! And yes, it looks awesome in one uniform colour. What makes it really top-notch for me though is the fact that you haven't had any problems with seating the minifig; great job (and NPU) on that!
  11. I totally agree; had a great time building the FB, it was probably the most intriguing original AFOL-oriented LEGO model I've ever come upon. That said, I haven't bought the Pet Shop (or the Town Hall, obviously) yet - and even though I'm willing to give them the benefit of doubt, I don't really expect they'd be a more interesting build than the Fire Brigade. In a way, I think the FB really wraps up the "original three (or, if you prefer - four)" quite nicely. Which reminds me that I was considering getting a second FB for spare parts - absolutely smashing selection of bricks contained in there. Any ideas on when it's due to be pulled off the market? If the Town Hall is about to be introduced in March, that means that the Fire Brigade can't have too much time left As to the price of the Town Hall - I must agree with mcbbvb. Not really too keen on set prices going up, even if that's based on a tangible increase in pieces contained. I would much rather prefer for things to actually go in the opposite direction - I was hoping TLG would introduce more sets in the vein of Market Street. Considering that it didn't sell too well though and only became a hit after it was pulled, I guess they'll be a bit apprehensive about that - but still, the Modulars have proven extremely popular - enough to warrant a separate microscale set; so why not.
  12. Get me in or else this is what you're getting: Yakuza style! Apparently, I'm already in character?! Or not... Can't wait!!!
  13. Yeah, Kimi and Lotus sounds like a match made in heaven. And honestly, who doesn't love Kimi! I really missed the 'can't be bothered' guy, it's good to have him back. Especially seeing as Grosjean doesn't look like he's bound for great things. As to Schumi - I'm looking forward to the launch of their new car next week. Still don't think they've got a chance with him in the lead though; I know he's useful in terms of development of the car, but still... Perhaps Kubica for Mercedes GP later on? Who knows what might happen!

This is awesome! Very Douglas Adams-y, I love its look (literally) - and a sweet colour combo too. Can't help but wonder what kind of greebling is going in the back...
  15. Well in that case, might as well ditch the whole LEGO town idea and just put a Fabuland fig with a vacuum cleaner in one hand pretending to be Freddy in the center of a lawn. Or forest. It may defy the purpose a bit, but it sure would make for awesome photos Sorry for steering off-topic Logwyn... At least now you do have a plethora of options to choose from! Just so that we can get back to where you wanted us to be in the first place - personally, I don't think anything big is really needed for the town centre to actually work as such. A nice clean roundabout with some grenery around it, as suggested by Legocrazy81, could be just as nice. In any case, I definitely feel that having plants (and plenty of them) is crucial. Which sort of brings us back to the whole lawn idea
  16. What from then... flying fish? Congratulations, it's a gorgeous accessory, kudos to the master too - great craftsmanship. I'm sure this thing of beauty looks extremely distinguished in your handflipper.
  17. From an economic perspective, that's the spot on definition of what's going on in the moment. And with the substantial additional turnover guaranteed by the collectable minifigures, which by the way are being marketed perfectly and have brought about not only serious profit, but also an incredible amount of hype around the entire brand, LEGO can now afford the luxury of trying out more stuff in the vein of Ben 10 - and also revisiting older, more short-lived ideas that had potential in them (which is, for example, the way I see the whole Monster Fighters thing). To answer the question of this topic - yes, there is a tendency of oversaturating the market. That said, I am convinced that LEGO are well aware and have explicitly chosen to try out this strategy in order to determine where the future lies in terms of long-term profit makers. The swift revamping of the product line does probably leave many parents/customers wondering what to get precisely, but it's more than welcome for AFOLs who would just like for LEGO to produce new pieces in as many new colours as possible. So from that point of view - keep 'em coming. I can't promise I'd buy any set from the short-lived themes, especially seeing as I don't buy too many sets nowadays and prefer to get bricks in bulk, but I sure as hell could use even more cool colours (one of the reasons why Friends is such a good thing ).
  18. Either that, or a ginormous red star, if you want a more commie feel to it Or a Fabuland statue. I personally would totally go for the Fabuland critter. It tends to appease the gods, for some reason... You could even give it a vacuum cleaner in one hand, that would totally look like Freddie breaking free. Et voila, your town will be Montreux number two!
  19. Yum! Haven't seen one of those in person either, but something tells me it's probably for the better, especially considering my new-found love for seafood. Looks like you've got quite a lot of room to play with in the back of that truck, so I'm betting my money on there being lots of crabs and scallops... perhaps even a cuttlefish or two? Looking forward to the finished article!
  20. A bit belated, but - Happy Scoutday Birdy!!! Wait... That doesn't sound right... Here's to continued and successful Imperial Scouting!
  21. Wonderful - this does look very much like a Notting Hill townhouse to me; looking forward to seeing it in bricks. For some reason, the roof section seems a bit too high, but then again it might look totally different when actually put together...
  22. Why, were you afraid that regular townies might spot you in this line-up of the usual suspects?
  23. I've also found them to be quite useful as fillers to ensure that the chests in local castles are indeed rattling with treasures - safe in the knowledge that you still have those valuable coins at your disposal for display purposes
  24. Great, so I can now officially say that I'm saving my money for next year's exclusive train set In all seriousness, I think this one has little to no compatibility with 'regular' LEGO trains, especially due to the inclusion of Technic pulleys as a substitute for actual train wheels... Nice as a playset I guess (the caboose looks interesting), but I can't help but be reminded of the Time Cruisers line - and why they were so unsuccessful. A shabby-looking build with perhaps too much going on there for its own good. Not to mention that I much prefer the old smiling ghosts anyway
  25. Yeah, I also meant the metaphorical fear of what's under the bed... Don't have kids myself, but I sure as hell know what moment when your heart's racing and your head is full of worst-case scenarios. Judging from my experience, it seems to last forever - and the stillness / "freeze frame" kind of effect you have achieved here is what really makes this an impressive vig for me.
