  1. Vote: Minoru (VolcanicPanic)
  2. Ichirou was suspicious of my wife, and he might have shared those suspicions with Tadao. That said, he was suspicious of Tadao himself later on, so that doesn't really prove anything with certainty.
  3. So you're telling me this is not a good time to act funny, I get it. Apparently, puns are ill-advised here. Which is only fair considering what happened last night And yes, it doesn't explain anything. Nor do I have any concrete evidence as to whether it was Tadao or Minoru who blocked my wife last night.
  4. Sounds logical, but our tracker died last night... That said, the Mutineers could indeed have opted to be extra cautious, which is why we were spared a kill by them on Night 2. Or they could have recruited someone to their organization. As usual, there's a lot of possibilities, and very limited information to base our decisions on.
  5. That's my wife, remember! We were in bed together, getting our freak on after she'd been feeling up my ol' butt all day sleeping soundly. What, you don't think old people get to sleep? Seriously though. Neutral or Scum, Minoru is starting to look more useless with each passing second. Based on that mistake-ridden defence of his, I think I know where my vote is going today.
  6. For the last two nights, there hasn't been one single event to lead us to the conclusion that the blockers in this Temple have, at any point, been more than two. So please quit wasting our time with those theories. You aren't helping yourself.
  7. That sounds messy, at best. But yes, you got it right on the second attempt. You say you targeted Chieko last night, is there any reason why that might have been the case? Because I have every reason to believe you're trying to misguide us there once again -- with Tadao actually having blocked my wife before dying an honorable death last night.
  8. My honest theory, as of this moment, is that we can't say with certainty that Minoru can only be scum, as people have suggested. I've merely stated the obvious; perhaps I've done so in a rather negative manner though, for which I hope the rest of the Family will excuse me. The fact that you think it means I'm assuming you're the guilty party here though does speak for itself -- and to answer your question straight away: no, at no point have I said that you're a Mutineer. I voted against you yesterday in order to "get you going", and because I thought your behaviour was fishy. I will not pursuit the same vote because I believe there are more pressing issues at hand. And no, I'm not saying everyone should coordinate with me. Looking back on my previous statements, I realize it might sound that way - and honestly, it wouldn't have been a bad idea. If anything, that could have helped minimize the amount of dead Yakuza bodies last night. But the thing about the windbag, coming from your helpful, trustworthy and cool-headed majesty's mouth, is just a bit rich. I don't want to go into the stuff that we've been over for the last two days, so let's just agree to disagree for the time being. Once again, don't be jumping to conclusions, I'm merely pointing out that we need to cover our bases for once. If anything, we now need as much information as we can lay our hands on - and if behind-the-scenes dealings is the way to obtain that, then so be it. Let's just have a dead Mutineer tomorrow morning, that's all I really want. As to your brilliant sharp-minded scenarios... allow me to just laugh those off for the time being, since I honestly don't want to be discussing just how derailed your train of thought still seems to be.
  9. If we have any reason to believe that story, as you obviously do, that reason would have to be substantiated by someone's night actions and the results from those. Let us see how the day progresses and what other information we do receive.
  10. *Sigh* Not quite following that nice, big, chunky, eye-popping train of thought I've laid out there, are you. Well, it's not the first time that's happened. Read again. Please. Then re-read, it's just one sentence anyway. If it doesn't work, keep reading. Until it actually dawns on you that a scum sharing their role with anyone who ISN'T scum, regardless whether directly or indirectly, would be an incredibly stupid, not to mention pointless, move. And no, they don't need to actually claim that they're scum. Seriously, there's a question I've been trying to ask for the last couple of days here and I think the right formulation of that mantra has almost come to me --- erm, scum or plain mind-numb? (*almost there...*)
  11. Sooo let me just get that straight. The Scum blocker went ahead and actually claimed their role to someone who's presumably not scum (according to Norio), who then in turn went and shared said claim with a third person (Norio), who just happens to also claim that he is not scum. Does that sound just a bit _stupid_ to anyone else?
  12. Tadao trusted me enough to actually consult me on who to block before he was brutally murdered last night. And I couldn't even suggest anything plausible to him since I had pretty much no leads what to base that on... Do you know whose fault that is? All of you who seem to trust the most random persons with the most vital info, and then decide not to share it with people who could actually help lead you the right way. Tadao's blood is on Norio's hands, and Ichirou is actually on mine for not having been able to defend my first-born son like I should have. I'm looking forward to those of you who have been promising to do so to actually step up and come forward with the information you have. We need to share as much as we can about last night if we are to get things going our way again; 3 loyal Yakuzas dead over the course of one night; even if one was actually God's will, is not a nice thing. And honestly - look at all of last night's deaths. Apart from the one that could not have been averted and came as a natural reflection of the Kami's powers, the others seem to have been caused not by the Mutineers, but have come as a direct consequence of our own, misguided decisions. So that's right, it's time you pulled your collective heads out of the gutter and started thinking straight. What happened yesterday was a crying shame, do NOT let that happen again. I will not be commenting on the subject of Minoru before having some more information to base that on. However, that is not the only person in our Family who needs to be worried right now.
  13. This Day is slowly drawing to a close, and I hope that the Family has made the right choice. I concur that the suspicions I raised with regards to Ichirou's allegiance have probably been very useful in getting the lynchmob against him started in the first place. While those remain valid concerns, over the course of this day I have grown increasingly worried that his deeds might have been a result of a very hectic mind, trying hard to juggle with all the information he has attempted to gather and put to good use. Yes, he has been very sloppy and foolish, and his defence has hardly been as convincing as it should have been. But for some reason I'm still not sure whether the dragon snot tonight will be green or orange. Everything my son has told me in private adds up so far, and while I may have my reservations with regards to him revealing the blocker role, I can only hope this will help our Family tomorrow, in the aftermath of today's actions. Apparently, Norio has pretty much confirmed that he will have the vigilante "take care" of the Yakuza Blocker - so Tadao should probably have every reason to be worried. Referring to my earlier observations once again, if Tadao is indeed the Town blocker, and he did not block me, as he claims himself, then I was targeted by the other blocker whom Norio has confirmed he is working with. Killing Tadao would certainly serve a purpose and help prove once and for all the allegiance of the blocker Norio is working with - since I haven't heard of there being any more blockers out there. I am however worried that in the worst case scenario we might end up losing two loyal Yakuza Family members tonight, who've simply not been too wise in the way they've handled matters so far. If the Kami favour us tonight though, we will have much more information to use tomorrow, without the numbers of the loyal Family members having been diminished. If that is the case, the first thing I will do will be to retract all my accusations against Norio since that would be an obvious sign that his behind-the-scenes manoeuvring has been working well and that my concerns have been off target. As things stand now though, I am keeping my vote where it is since I see no reason to jump on the bandwagon - that would not change a thing and, as stated above, I am not fully convinced whether Ichirou is indeed a Mutineer. I am, however, considering switching my vote to Tadao after his explanation - because his behaviour and willingness to cooperate with seemingly everyone worries me quite a bit, and his explanation for having jumped on the Ichirou bandwagon so easily was not too convincing either.
  14. I'm not sold on this. I think it would overcomplicate the whole thing rather than facilitate the process of eliminating metagaming. If anything, I could envisage some people metagaming even more if that were to happen...
  15. Precisely. So Flipz, could you please not discuss people's actions from the Day thread and lecture them in the C&D thread?
  16. I'd like to just point out that when asked in private frankly why he's lost faith in Ichirou all of a sudden and jumped on the bandwagon from the off without even taking the time to reconsider, Tadao's response was simple and very straightforward: He said he feared guilt by association. He also said something about Ichirou having "managed" to find out his role when I questioned him, and even though my initial query was formulated in a misleading manner (i.e. "Did he make you give him your role?"), the fact of the matter is that Tadao went talking to people who then in turn connected him to third persons simply in order to roleclaim... I'm sorry, but I don't really buy this stuff with all the roleclaims going on so early in this game -- and quite frankly, I think that all these Family members claiming to other people and revealing their identities, etc. merely based on metagaming or God knows what other form of ill-advised trust, is absolutely ridiculous. If it's true, that just makes me feel ashamed to be Yakuza right now, because we're supposed to be way smarter than this. Let's elaborate for a second here though. If Tadao fears guilt by association, that means he's pretty sure Ichirou is scum, and not a loyal Family member. In that case -- why the hell would he go to all the trouble to reach him and share his presumable town blocker role in the first place?! Tadao, please do speak up. Another person I'd like to hear speak up at this point would be our "middle man" here, Akira, who's very much kept to himself during our discussions throughout the Day, yet seems as though he's been taking on a rather active role behind the scenes.
  17. Yep, that's actually a fair point - why do I keep arguing with you anyway when you're such a smug loyal and insecure friendly guy. I'm such a dolt I've done my talking and helped this Family on more than one occasion when I had to; with anything I could. Yes, on more than one occasion that has been my gut feeling. But I've been rather consecutive, unlike you and your egocentric rants. All you've done / said after actually voting against Ichirou today has really been pointless and led us nowhere, since at the end of the Day we're none the wiser. As it were, the Family is mostly just waiting to see what colour Ichirou taints the dragon's snot. For the record, I have not voted against him because jumping on the bandwagon would not exactly help the Family at this point - even if he is scum - and because I prefer to be one step ahead. But look back and you'll notice that the reasons for which you have voted were actually supplied by me in the first place and the doubts I openly voiced against Ichirou. Once again, you're utterly useless, regardless of the crap discussions you've been up to in private. We're yet to see where this whole "I trust them and they have so much faith in me cuz I'm simply fabulous" thing of yours leads us, but please don't claim contributions when you've had none and then have the audicity to call me out for having done "jack for town". Check your facts for once, and use your mantra to help you while doing so. How did it go anyway, Scum or numb? Scum or bread crumb!? Damn I'm old! My vote stands firmly where it is.
  18. Frankly, that's much more than the rest of us have to work with, so I don't see why you couldn't use it to our common advantage. Earlier, that is. In any case, my incessant pushing seems to have finally yielded some results. And I thank you for that. It remains to be seen whether those are not a bunch of lies though.
  19. Sounds plausible to me. As does your whole analysis, quite frankly, since you've finally chosen to share something in public. See, it doesn't hurt that much, now does it? And you haven't had to spill it all out either. Just about enough to get us thinking, which is what I wanted all along. To be honest, I'm very tempted to unvote you right now - and I probably would, had it not been for your erratic behaviour when "guiding" the Family on who to lynch over these last two days. If you know as much as you claim you do, and are indeed loyal, I'm even more worried that you've played a very lousy game so far.
  20. For once, you've actually taken the time to analyze things, Norio, so I'm happy to see that you're at least trying this time. That does, however, not change your erratic history so far. As you no doubt are aware, if my first-born is lynched tonight and presents us all with some orange dragon snot, then that would only mean that all these people who seem to have so much faith in you and are willing to dismiss your futility based on metagaming will suddenly turn against you. You have done little to calm my fears - and please drop the Yasu story towards the end of Day 1 already, that was just me working extra hard to irritate you and see what you'd have to stop me from pushing it further. Apparently, nothing (humming along to the tune already ). And now you seem to be pointing in other directions - which however I must admit I am more than willing to look into, least of all because I have on a number of occasions considered your involvement in those. Just one thing before that - so you're actually confirming that I read Town to you, but you can't be bothered to work with me. I'm outspoken, yet useless. Hmmm, I don't know why, but that just reminds me so much of a mantra I've heard so often... Scum-or-Hum, Scum-or-Trump, how exactly did that go again!? Since we're openly sharing our findings with regards to last night, here's what I have to present to the attention of fellow Family members. Don't forget, these are all claims but they might help piece together the story that went behind the scenes last night: * We have a Town Watcher. His name is Speed Racer. Speed Racer watched Sir Honkey Tonk on Night 1, however Sir Honkey Tonk was not targeted by anyone. * We also have a Blocker, who might be Town or Scum. His name is Roadrunner. By his own admission, Roadrunner did not target me last night. Which doesn't really help us a lot unless we manage to find out Roadrunner's allegiance. * We have yet another Blocker who has in turn come after me. Norio claims that he was talking to him and that that was the Town blocker, and I'd be happy to believe him, but there's really nothing to base all these assumptions on either way. With me apparently not reading Scum, as many people have stated today, I could have been targeted by both the Scum and some misguided Town blocker - please bear that in mind for future developments. * Last but not least, we also have a Town Tracker. His name is Pink Panther. The Panther tracked Wile E. Coyote last night, who in turn had targeted Pink Panther for his night action. The result of all this? The Panther and the Coyote seem to have had unconsenting coital interaction. I know, even more twisted than Norio's logical process, right? Apparently, the Blockers are pretty much our only lead today in terms of night actions. Let's say that neither blocker lied with regards to who blocked whom. That means that I could have been targeted by either a Scum or Town blocker; as is the case with Norio - but Ichirou is already growing more and more suspicious of Norio with each passing second. So, instead of giving him information on the Blocker he's in contact with, he keeps it to himself. Why? Because if Norio is indeed Scum, then that means that he could only have been targeted by the Town Blocker, whom Ichirou claims to be in contact with. In turn, I must then have been targeted by the Scum Blocker, whom Norio claims to be in contact with but believes to be a Town Blocker. Conveniently enough, Norio would like to know the identities of both blockers, but is actually already talking to one and trusting him. I wonder why that could be the case...
  21. At what megablocking point precisely did I ask anyone to try and accuse me? Norio did that, remember? I was merely responding to this: Because, with that entire post speech, he gave me - and all of us in this Family, for that matter - a steaming pile of nothing. Once a-freaking-gain. Also, no, I've said it once and I can't stress that enough, it's time you learned to distinguish between role-playing small talk and analysis-based real accusations. Now I know why some of you seem to hate roleplaying so much - it apparently makes up for a little too heavy a load for their thought-trains to haul around. There, I'm now talking down to you all like Norio, does that make me sound more convincing? I've just wasted an entire paragraph saying nothing and arguing over something that's pointless to begin with. What did we learn from this then?... I'm not up against Norio because he called me a megablock and behaved aggressively. I believe him to be a Mutineer, because other than attitude, he hasn't really brought out anything in his defence! Is it really so hard for all of you to see? I'm not expecting him to try and lynch me, I'm not expecting him to tell me about everyone he's been in contact with. I'm expecting him to say that he jumped on the Ichirou bandwagon and edited his post opinion in order to particularly make sure of doing that for some reason other than "well I'm not sure, but yeah this probably is a good choice". Because come on, does that sound convincing? To any one of you? Seriously, are you that much in love with Norio? Also, on to the "cooperating" part - here's our last exchange to convince you all that I did try to work with him, only to get more of the same: So, he didn't want to work with someone he considers a Townie, according to his own admissions, because that would get him too irritated during the game. But he still needs to send my PMs to other people he's been "working with", even though he's not suspecting me and we've generally not discussed anything of relevance. Way to go working for the greater good of the family, Norio. Hopefully, you won't have to decipher what I'm trying to say once again. If that's the case - I urge you to please check the records before speaking out.
  22. And precisely how does that make him a "Townie"? Or what, am I supposed to stop being suspicious of him and his ridiculous contribution so far just because he understands it's not quite a good idea to jump against me in response and accuse me... because there'd obviously be very little to base that on? Oh and thanks, this is the second time I've been called dumb in a day. Sepukku time for me, perhaps? Or perhaps it's just time you people started minding your own derailed little trains of thought and stopped qualifying other people's decisions?
  23. Just for the record, Norio - you haven't actually gone after me or given me anything back. You haven't even bothered to respond to any of my accusations, blinded by that sheer outburst of fury. Not yesterday, and most certainly not today. You haven't done anything good for the loyal Yakuza family members so far either, yet you feel compelled to keep on judging and lecturing everyone. Speaking of which, you've certainly graced others alongside myself with your bright and sunny (that calm you down? I sure hope so...). And by the way, it is definitely not just me who's fed up with you, your high horse and your total lack of useful contribution. It seems that fighting is what you think you're very good at, but I double dare you to actually fight back this time with something concrete - even if it is mixed up with all the profanities you can think of - and prove to me and the 29 of us still here that there was at least _one_ way in which you were useful to this Family.
  24. Seriously; is that the best you're capable of... , Norio? You've definitely lost it, and now it's clear for everyone to see that's the case. Even if you're the Towniest of Townies, you've played extremely lousy so far - and that's something you should admit instead of insulting this old weak man. If I were a bit younger, I'd be challenging you to a fight to the death right now, you insolent no-good spy-wanna-be.
  25. You have not made it clear - you've been called out for apparently having cooperated quite a lot lately. If that's the case though, and you're innocent, as you claim, are you not at least a bit flabbergasted that someone you've worked with so closely and confided in has been so quick to vote against you!?
