Wow... the theme is trash. Not a single mermaid! Glad they have sharkman, but not a single mermaid! However there is at least some good in them, the small sets look nice, and the minifigures look nice, so that's something. I think the little kids might like them, I have no clue.

The lego Company Service Quality
The Green Brick Giant replied to Eskallon's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Everyone makes mistakes, just tell them and they will resend. They most likely got their piece number wrong. I had several issues with LEGO sets between 2003 and 2007, never had any issues with anything, and I had to order at least 10 times. -
LEGO Store Honolulu Commemorative Set
The Green Brick Giant replied to Piranha's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Awesome, there have been 4 LEGO Stores in Massachusetts, one closed. I never went to any of the openings but all I think they gave out was a Duplo block with the store's name on it. -
Can 12v trains be used in the United States?
The Green Brick Giant replied to gary_sabol's topic in LEGO Train Tech
As Greg said now-a-days you can buy a converter ad there will be no issues. I don't understand why there are different volts in different parts of the world anyways. -
Combining City with Other Themes
The Green Brick Giant replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Town
All the different themes with different planes, they fit. Res-Q and X-Treme things are a subtheme of Town/City. The last Adventurers theme with the mountain type gear was really nice addition to a wintertime city/town. -
Oh so we can posts the links to the flickr page itself for the pics. Good to know. However, what difference does it make? We got the real set pictures anyways. Not only that but the pictures are horrible and wrong. The space ship we are getting is a lot better than the first design in the box art picture.

Buzz's ship being $40 is insane, I was thinking $30 tops.
-
I agree, it looks like it's special to the huge massive gear. Hard to tell from the lovely picture we have. Either way I think the minifigure will be amazing no matter what. it kind of reminds me of a redo Aquazone gear.
-
The Star Wars sets are $10, the new IJ set is $11, so I think $11 to $13 is about what it will be, it looks better than IJ set.
-
Just a guess but I'm thinking the army men will be $13USD.

Why are people looking forward to LU?
The Green Brick Giant replied to Zuloon's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Because I'm really looking forward to paying $50 for the game and then $10 a month to play it! -
I love you.

And that is sexist! Like women don't shove crap in their purse to steal? They want more people to use reusable bags, but how can you when you would be hunted down because you are a guy? This TRU is the scum of the world, and is sexist, because I see the women tell their children to stick things in their purse! I walk or bike everywhere and always have a backpack, so once again it's OK for women to have a huge megablocks purse to stick things in but not a backpack for guys? That's sexists. As you can tell I hate TRU, so the less LEGO at TRU the better.

As long as LEGO makes sets other than Fire, Police and such I'm happy. I wish we would get a few more simple buildings, like a bank and post office and such so people can get rescued by the fire department or the police could stop the bad guys at the bank. I can't wait to see the new plane stuff, I love LEGO planes! Never can have enough, and let's be honest, the last Airport sub theme was horrible. Also I doubt LEGO will be releasing a Hospital or Police theme in the summer, so we always have those to look forward too. I'm still hoping for LEGO Zoo with all the new animals LEGO now has.
-
True, but I mean the people who shop in the LEGO Store are not scum bags who would steal everything that isn't bolted down. The TRUs i know are in terrible sections of cities while the LEGO Stores are placed on the fact they are in up scale richy areas. But yes, someone steals somethnig at TRU people most likely won't care, someone does at The LEGO Store they will kill you. Also TRU is sexist, women can have purses and bags, but I have a backpack (full of clothing because I just came back from a trip) and they hunt me down!
-
Where are you getting your info from? LEGO WAS sued, but that's why they make the battle packs because it's a construction set and not an action figure toy.
-
That's not just the problem. In the LEGO Store different people show there, more honest people. The two TRUs around me are in horrible sections, and the people who work there don't care because their souls have been drained from them.
-
Are you trying to close LEGO down? I only know of two TRUs within like 70 miles of my house, there isn't a chance in hell they wouldn't have all the pieces stolen within a week.
-
Very nice LEGO, very very nice! Glad to see that the army men seem to be a very cheap set, $15-$20, that's awesome. A nice return to "Wild West", the space ship looks awesome and big Buzz is a nice use of that new dome piece.

One thing I've allways wondered...
The Green Brick Giant replied to Scorpion's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I like the new ones more for the most part. I think LEGO switched because the little "teeth" in the old style would break. I do miss the cars with the sunroof, I wish those would get a redo, but I will live. -
I haven't seen those in 2 years now. They closed the good LEGO Store in Mass and the Natick MA one is so busy I don't think they have them when I go. I bought one once, got nothing good and about 200 1x4 blue Technic bricks.
-
Which is why they stopped printing pieces, a huge waste of a brick. It's also why from like 2004-2006 the price of LEGO seemed to have gone down, you got more brick for your money. Sadly that really stopped last year.

Batman the Brave & the Bold : Batmobile
The Green Brick Giant replied to BaronSat's topic in LEGO Licensed
That's awesome! At first I thought it was a real set, yeah I'm tired. -
Am I the only one that wishes LEGO would make some Thomas System scale sets. I mean LEGO hyped up this new system of LEGO Trains and yadda yadda and I think it's been a complete failure (One overpriced set?!?), so make Thomas as a System, brick built train! :)

2010 themes and sets?
The Green Brick Giant replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in General LEGO Discussion
That's exactly what it was. It had a stand and one or three minifigures in a pack. I actually bought a Town one, with three minifigures) for $6 at the Disney Store (The only LEGO Store in USA at the time) and I think the Star Wars one was $8 or so (And at the time was going for $35+ on eBay). This was back in 2000, way before any other license sets. I think the lawsuit happened in late 2000-2001, maybe 2002. Arguably the sets were action figures, they came with next to nothing on a stand. We got the better end of the deal anyways, the battle packs are much better. The only difference is that some of the old packs of three had better minifigures. Like the one I bought....
