  1. All LEGO themes now-a-days are somewhat "<insert that tiresome argument>". The PM have big pieces, they have big wheels, big drills, and overall big pieces. Same with Atlantis, they have Technic pieces to make the big pieces movie or connect. Look at the "new" Airport sets, and fire helicopter, they look like Playmobile. It's not as bad as it can be, but if you call PMs <insert that tiresome argument> than the same can be said with Atlantis. However nothing will be as bad as 1998 to about 2002... ick.....
  2. I'm just glad to see Santa is back, but these City Calendars have sucked the last few years and LEGO is incredibly stupid for not releasing the Castle and Pirate sets in America. If you live near a Border's in the USA you can sign up for email coupons and get 30% off this set because Border's has them in a Christmas section.
  3. And how are the Atlantis sets not <insert that tiresome argument>?
  4. I like the set, I bought a few, I think I got them for 99 cents several years ago. I don't get the point of the sticker, but maybe Shell gives you a card and if you got all the Shell mini-sets you got some free gas?
  5. LEGO said their classics are City, Castle and Space, so Space Police is not ending. The Space sets this year were released in the summer, so next year's sets will be released in the summer.
  6. It's one of those books that come with like 150 pieces to make a few small sets. There is a Castle one and Pirate one. The Castle one... http://www.amazon.de/LEGO-Brickmaster-Cast...3026&sr=1-1
  7. Is that how hospitals are in Turkey? In the USA there would need to be about 100 more minifigures. Nice job.
  8. The hat is new to this theme, and I'm not sure if it was ever used outside this theme until the 2009 Hoth set.
  9. Yep, and if you look at the City Center sets you will see why.
  10. I loved the Aquazone themes of 1995 and 1996, even the first Aqua Raiders mini theme was nice. This is just too wild for me, even as a "kid", just wild colors, wild minifigure Borg, and I'm a fan of magnets and not section cups. However back in 1999 LEGO knew how to make a decent base, something they lack now-a-days.
  11. I swear LEGO is trying to destroy this whole thing. First the 1000% price increase back in March / April that wasn't a mistake and now $10 for a box? Why don't they make the pieces more in "Design by Me" like they did with Factory?
  12. Maybe you got a first box in a set and they stamped it to give the whole line the OK. I do like the idea of it being some bored worker.
  13. Just to make sure, some of us aren't complaining about the new windshield, I like it fine. I don't like it as the windows in the airport and fire station.
  14. It's a fine thing to do, LEGO does it to save money on making one piece for many sets instead of one piece in only one set. However in the past it worked well, now it's a failure, the building look really poor with them.
  15. Oh I know the whole thing is a mess. However the USD is worthless cloth, same with the Euro, we just give it a value based on a joke system. However the USA is LEGO's biggest market and with the insane price increases of the last few years parents will be buying less and less and that will hurt LEGO around the world. Also Amazon's prices can't be right because if they are LEGO is really odd. A small set for 413 when you can get a much bigger set for $5? Very weird, we shall see. Maybe LEGO will be doing the same thing they do in Europe, hugely overprice things and then sell them "on sale" for what the normal price should be.
  16. The problem is an action figure cost half the price of these. I think the price is what will kill them, they are just way too much. Even if kids want them the parents will say no.
  17. I'd love to see that! I could see Blacktron returning as an alien gang or something. I mean they call these sets Space Police but they aren't anythnig like the last two Space Police themes.
  18. I'm thinking the gate set (which you can just swim around) is a gateway to Atlantis itself which will be a summer release. LEGO used to release bigger sets in the summer because most big LEGO sales are Christmas gifts.
  19. The piece count is OK for the price. Look at some of the other sets. The UGLY City car with 43 pieces is $10, the Police fighter is $13 for 68 pieces. LEGO continues to push their prices upward and I wonder where the breaking point is before their sales drop off.
  20. Yeah $18 for 14 pieces! Damn! That's even more than the insane Bionicle prices! I remember 10 years ago during Bionicle's only good year, the first one, and the sets were $7, now they are like $13 or $14!
  21. $10 for 43 pieces!!! *Falls over!* LEGO will be losing one customer next year, have they lost their minds? I thought the car this year for $10 was too much, but I figured it was because of the tree. Sheesh...
  22. 69 pieces for $13?!?! Failure! With LEGO's yearly, insanely, price increases they are just wanting me to enter another dark age. However it's nice to see black and purple instead of more black and red.
  23. Icky icky. One icky for the design and colors, the other icky for the price per piece.
  24. Border's is free, and useless, you are thinking of B&N which is $20 a year, but you save 20-25% on all your purchases. I'm just happy they didn't screw me out of my old stamps. 15 stamps is 300 points which is $15, and that's pretty good. I never really go to the store anyways, too far away and nothing is ever on sale (it's very busy).
