Smaller instructions stay open better. Anyways nice review. That new net piece is the stupidest thing LEGO has made in many many years. Completely not needed. The LEGO Train designers talk about how they needed to convince LEGO to make a few new pieces for the new Trains, yet this damn net got made? I don't get it.

When TRU has new sets early they are normally priced at the real prices and then come January (or whenever) the sets get marked up. I noticed that last year with the Pirates.

Two more Christmas sets this year!
The Green Brick Giant replied to ILikePi's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Both. It's a new piece. Oddly enough the first set it's in and it wasn't needed, isn't there 1x2 that have studs on the side? That would have worked. Is there a piece that has a stud on the front (like this one) and on the side? if not that could be useful. -
Not the first time, Agents has a female main character too. :)
-
They would need to make a fat minifigure if they based it on his Stargate Universe look. :)

Does Europe have Hess Trucks for Christmas? 7239 reminds me of the LEGO version of those, just a perfect truck, a fun build and kids muct love it. But doesn't the fact that the fire truck came out, 5-6 years ago prove that LEGO doesn't need to make a fire station or police station every 3 years if they make them right the first time.

I just bought 30008 a nice set but I have some problems. I'm missing the red 1x3 piece and the hook piece on top is a black with greyish specks. I'm really sick of ordering replacements because LEGO makes cheap pieces now. Just when I thought their quality was getting better. -
I think everyone understand that, but why can't LEGO make 1-2 buildings a year so that the fire department can save something? A bank can come with a police car to stop a robber, same with a post office.

Atlantis was real and it was never in the Atlantic Ocean. This is a toy, there are no squidish or shark people in the oceans.... that we know of.... A few stores, like TRU get the new sets early, sometimes really early. They are supposed to sit in the back until official release, but TRU is so slow they probably just throw everything out to be sold.

Snowmen for Winter Scenes
The Green Brick Giant replied to The Green Brick Giant's topic in LEGO Town
I agree with both points, I like having the big bottom. Yeah the middle section is very weird to me, I don't get it at all. -
Snowmen for Winter Scenes
The Green Brick Giant replied to The Green Brick Giant's topic in LEGO Town
I forgot the best one. Thanks for that picture. I think I'm going to try that and maybe mod it a little. -
I'd make this a poll but I don't know how. Anyways I'm planning my winter scene for my mom's Christmas tree this year. Last year I made something very quickly that didn't include a lot of snow. So far I have found three official minifigure-ish scale snowmen... http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=7687-1 http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=MMMB001-1 http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=30008-1 EDIT - http://shop.lego.com/product/?p=10199&...7&ShipTo=US Frankly I don't think the ones from the advent calendars are that great, but they are in minifigure scale. I really like 30008 but I think it might be too big. So what type does everyone here build? Obviously if you build your own I'd love to see it! On a side note, if anyone has any good ideas how to make footprints in snow, that would be helpful too. I remember a huge Hoth layout that had some nicely done.

Brickmaster Magazine Reveals All

I do and I also got a free copy in the summer and it came with the great Space Police criminals poster. I love it, and I'm not a big poster person. -
Latest updates on LEGO set sales
The Green Brick Giant replied to gylman's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
TRU last year was at least decent, this year it's a joke. B.J.'s Wholesale Club has a few $30 sets for $25. Nothing big. -
If we are counting the little green thing as a tractor than the yellow thing is a tractor.
-
All the "keys" do know is open up a gate. Just swim around the gate!
-
If you count the promo than there are 4 tractors because the Farm set would have the blue one and the little yellow one. It's a Farm series, there should be tractors.
-
LEGO really needs to make more of those snow covered trees. They were in what? Two Belville sets?
-
Frankly people who care about this need to get out more. They are minor colors and it's not like they are getting rid of them, they are modifying them. It's not like they are going "Old Blue" will now become Nu Blu" or something equally stupid.

Brickmaster Magazine Reveals All
The Green Brick Giant replied to Spyder's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I wish there was a way to get the awesome posters from the magazine. I don't want to order it but I do love the mini posters. -
I'd like more super hero themes, which technically LEGO could do because Disney does own Marvel Comics now.
