REVIEW: 8083 Rebel Trooper Battle Pack
The Green Brick Giant replied to DarkFader's topic in LEGO Star Wars
How do we know what the "normal price" is? Until June the normal price was $10, then without any warning the normal price became $11. TRU this time of year doesn't do their mark ups, so this could be the new "normal price". -
REVIEW: 8083 Rebel Trooper Battle Pack
The Green Brick Giant replied to DarkFader's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I completely agree. $15 when I go "megabluck you" to LEGO. However this time of year TRU does not mark their prices up, I don't know why, but the early sets are the correct prices until sometime after Christmas / January. -
If you want either of them buy them now at TRU, by January the prices will be at least $8 for the car and $7 for the Impulse set. I'm not sure why but when TRU gets a new set it's the correct price, but by the new year they are jacked up.

REVIEW: 8083 Rebel Trooper Battle Pack
The Green Brick Giant replied to DarkFader's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Was this at an official LEGO Store? $15 is way way too much for that. I would have picked one up for $11-$13, but never $15. And it's still better than 2009's, which were a joke. A robot BP? That was a failure. -
But that's just a LEGO lie. The tracks are cheaper now because there are no metal pieces, however the mold is the same. Plus it's not any cheaper when it's still $16 for 8 pieces of straight track. Nothing became cheaper, all LEGO did was piss off AFOLs, and chrildren can't afford the trains.

Latest updates on LEGO set sales
The Green Brick Giant replied to gylman's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Some new stuff has been added to LEGO S@H USA. Nothing special, mainly Duplo and Bionicle. -
Christmas magnet set at Toys R Us
The Green Brick Giant replied to Big Cam's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Yeah this is exactly the same one as a few years ago except with the new magnets and and a sticker. If you have a Santa figure I would suggest buying a $10 minifigure magnet set and making your own. That way you have a different set for when it's not Christmas. -
I don't see why LEGO needs a "limited number of sets" they make like 3 times as many things now than 15 years ago. Just make a few LEGO.com exclusive sets and shut the hell up. My problem with Emerald Night is that it isn't a train! It's half a train that cost $100 and will cost $250 to make half a train run! That's just insane. LEGO now admits that the Train theme is for adults, then why did they get rid of 9V Trains? Does LEGO even think before they do something?

It looks like two regular cheese pieces to me.
-
I was hoping for more. They need train cars and other things, and they really really need a crane.
-
I think the little plane might be a real set. It has a piece count which is a USA thing and we don't get those sets, and the official number is very close to the farm set, and that seems a little odd.

Just bought my first Train set - what next?
The Green Brick Giant replied to Thrawnseg's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Yeah LEGO went a little nuts with the price increase of the road plates. Two used to cost $6, and then they jumped to $13, and now $15. Honestly it's probably cheaper to just paint the plywood. It's your LEGO town, add a castle, or a beach with a pirate ship, anything goes. All the Corner Cafe sets are big.. and $150.... To me this is a must have for any city, I love the set, it's cheap and you can set it up to make it look like your city is being built. http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.aspx?...;cn=223&d=9 -
Review: 7590 Toy Story Woody and Buzz to the Rescue
The Green Brick Giant replied to Pugsly's topic in LEGO Licensed
Good to know the set pieces are printed, that explains the fact the set is $5+ too much. -
Review - 7413 Passage of Jun-Chi
The Green Brick Giant replied to The Cobra's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I swear I saw this set in a bag of my mom's several years back, and I never got it. It's the only set in the theme I don't have, besides promo sets. It could be the best theme ever, it's really that great. -
My guess for USD... 3178 - Lego Seaplane 8.57 € => 10 Euros - $15 3179 - Lego Rapair Truck 11.17 € => 12 Euros - $13 3180 - Lego Tank Truck 17.73 € => 20 Euros - $20-$25 3181 - Lego Passanger Plane 31.52 € => 35 Euros - $40-$50 3182 - Lego Airport 87.30 € => 90 Euros - $90 7684 - Lego Pig Farm & Tractor 27.01 € => 30 Euros - $40

A month isn't new?
-
I thought someone who works for LEGO gave the info. I guess it won't really be confirmed until LEGO releases info with pictures.
-
Umm... the sets have been out like 2-3 weeks, it's a new theme. It's also a 2010 theme, which makes it new.
-
As a City fan please don't remind me of those mess of years... City Center.... *shivers* That is because it's an exclusive set, there is no need for LEGO to release the pictures ahead of times. LEGO only releases pictures so stores know what the new sets will be.
-
Wow! We are getting Stargate Atlantis sets!
-
I'm still hoping for LEGO City Zoo! LEGO has made enough animals throughout the years now to make a zoo.
-
No, I thought the TS sets were shown at a LEGO show and had the official prices there. Kind of like the Toy Fairs in the up coming months.

What on earth is this piece?
The Green Brick Giant replied to Razgriz's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Yes but Space Port I think is the last time the piece was released.
