  1. Weirdly enough, I like the blending better (I have them in-hand). I wasn't super thrilled with the way the trans-orange worked on Tahu, despite complementing the color scheme perfectly. Made it a little overpowering, maybe? Can't speak to Gali, obviously.
  2. 30 is pretty good, it's what I got mine for! Average price seems closer to 40 on eBay. just in time for the review sets that came in
  3. Just nabbed one for 30! At least I think I did. eBay mobile is finicky. But looking forward to it regardless. I quite liked the render we got, and the finished version looks like it will complement the set nicely.
  4. I saw one of the Gali masks go for sale on eBay, ended up being about 100 bucks plus exorbitant shipping from Australia or something. So not actually too terrible, considering the general rarity, but slightly outside of my comfort zone for Bionicle purchases. As for the SDCC masks, I dunno the quantity, but people had multiples, so it looks like a similar stock to the NYCC one. So the prices will be similar, I think.
  5. I paid about 40 for the NYCC mask, so I could go for the same here. Prices for that one bottomed out at about 25 before going back up to what it is now, which is 40's-50's, so I'll see if I can snag the SDCC one in the 30's range.
  6. Apparently tomorrow they'll also be doing a single "Bionicle Grand Prize Pack", valued at 90 USD, so that sounds like all of Summer sets. Also the mask listings are hitting 50's now. I love watching competitive eBay pricing in action.
  7. As with NYCC, LEGO is offering a free SDCC mask to a random retweeter (figured it would happen around now, as the giveaway in person was slated for 12:30 =P). And they're going for about 120 on eBay, so for those gotta-have-it people, there you go.
  8. They just uploaded the digital version too, good stuff.
  9. Woah, I couldn't even tell it was the Skull Scorpio mask. Very cool. Hopefully this means there will be more than 200 copies and not be stupidly expensive to acquire secondhand.
  10. On the subject of the Stars, LEGO was actually going to axe the line after 09. Kelly (McKiernan) fought to get some kind of conclusion, and the end result was the Stars. Not perfect by any means, but a hell of a lot better than the alternative.
  11. I actually liked Aquagon, but that aside, go back a year to Furno and Jawblade. That's how you do it.
  12. Underwater year 2016 LET'S DO IT
  13. Oh man that artwork is phenomenal. I've never been a huge fan when they they do panned out or show the characters as smaller than they are; full bodied shots like these are my favorite. Also her half-sunken Nuva symbol <3
  14. BS01 too Are the sets available online in the LEGO shop in other regions besides the UK? It's a bit of a crazy hodgepodge of who's released what at this point, which is funny compared to the incredibly tight rollout of January.
  15. Huh, so it is. Last time they uploaded them all at once, and a few days before the official release, so I assumed this was the case here as well, but I guess they're actually getting to this one later in the cycle. Maybe they do only get five issues a year? I thought last year they received the same number, so maybe that's a new thing...
  16. So they uploaded the Canadian version of the Club magazine, and it does not have any of the BIONICLE information that the NA one apparently has. There's occasionally slight differences between the two, but still. An interesting omission.
  17. Thank Morris for this beautiful creation. They did describe Makuta's attempted rebellion as stemming from jealousy over his apparently inferior creations, so he could just be evil deep down anyway. Likely they won't get that deep at all regardless.
  18. ... huh. Neat. Well, you have the Toa who don't remember their past, and Slicer who was made to forget his, so I'm pretty done with amnesiacs at this point =P.
  19. Hey, bios are one of the things I'm most looking forward too. I'm especially intrigued in the Skull masks and what those actually do.
  20. Hooray, they get officially labeled as "Skull Creatures"! I was going to go with "Skull Villains", but this helps. Also, Kulta? Interesting... very cool stuff there.
  21. Or maybe the first two panels on the box comic are inverted and he's actually trying to rescue the Mask of Creation zomg plot twist
  22. Interesting change on the activity book (although might still be preliminary). Really, I'm just waiting for the covers of those graphic novels, they should be pretty interesting.
  23. True, ever since 2008 waves have had a mix of heroes and villains in any given wave, which continued into HF, and new BIONICLE is no exception. Then again, with the desire to emulate past years, I wouldn't put it past them entirely; this year has a fun flip of "all heroes + one villain" in the winter and "all villains + one hero" in the summer.
  24. 2001, 2003, 2005: =( awwwww yeah
  25. Just plausible enough to be believable, but probably fake =P. Ghosts would be a neat enemy, though, since there would be gitd parts and they would be glorious.
