Suburbia - Confirmation/Discussion
Dannylonglegs replied to Bob's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Oh Jack. You're so devoted to our pet store it's almost comical. It's grown to be more than just a "pet project." Hehe I made a pun! -
Having acquired money through shady transactions in a dark corner of the hall, Sylph returned. He payed Anwyl to upgrade his (WP 4) rod to WP 6 (110 gold) leaving Sylph with 40 gold.

"I was hoping you'd ask me this. This gem has hardly any value to me aside from the pecuniary, and if I applied it to my weapon, I'd put myself at risk every time I fought anything this gem is weak against. This tool aught to be in the hands of one who can use it properly. Besides that, you offer me quite a bounty. I could hardly refuse. I will sell you my emerald for 85 gold." (Ooc: If you don't mind, I'm assuming your mutual agreement, so I'll go ahead and add 85 gold to my stats and remove the gem. Feel free to change your stats too.)

Sylph returned to the Market. He first sold his Staff (WP: 3) for 15 gold giving him 105 gold He then bought a new Mockthril rod with a decorative sickle edge (WP:4) for 40 gold, leaving him with 65 gold. He then returned to the hall, hopefully to come into more money soon so that he could further upgrade his weapon.

Sylph spotted Namyrra as soon as she returned to the hall. He was situated on a bench in a dark and quiet-ish corner of the room. His gloved hands clenched a tankard of water with several leaves floating on the top. It was still full as Sylph didn't have a mouth hole on his mask. Something he deeply regretted. His gaze from within the imposing helmet appeared to be cast on the floor, but in actuality was locked on Namyrra as she approached him. "Greetings," she said, drawing his attention from the floor. "Greetings," Sylph replied softly. "There is a matter I wish to discuss with you." stated Namyrra. "Shoot." said Sylph as he gestured to the stool beside him. "I'm all ears."

Sylph glided into the market and bought a Shovel (Costs 10 gold), a Pickaxe (Costs 20 gold) and a Magnifying Glass (Costs 30 gold). He spent a total of 60 gold.

Sylph Solanum entered the building. The doors flew open dramatically in a gust of cool wind. Sylph's weathered cape billowed against his back, sweeping him into the Hall as a wave on a rock. As the doors shut, Sylph's bat rocketed through like a bat out of hell. Despite the well-worded, dramatic entrance, no one in the hall seemed to notice the return of Sylph Solanum, which was just as well for him. He glanced with some interest at the newcomers of the Hall. He quickly scanned the room for faces he recognized. There were some. Some even who he had parted with only a short time ago. He also noticed the absence of Bacari. He chuckled to himself. Striding with purpose, Sylph arrived at the Questboard. Sylph examined the board closely. His eyes consumed the names of those who had posted, and finally settled on on quest which he found to his liking. Sylph signed up for quest 4. He wanted to get to know the Shadeaux house better, as the up-and-coming merchants seemed an influential bunch (with great taste in symbols.) He could also use a new weapon. As he turned his back, he hesitated. Although, he only wanted to participate in the 4th quest, the 6th was also not too bad. He signed for the 6th quest too. With that, Sylph sought out a dark place in which he could sulk.

Hey! I'm the problem child! My end stats say that I took a second water bomb which is not the case as I requested the Ice Bomb. Since Signor is no more, and his stats are the ones that had the Ice bomb, can I go ahead and change that? ~Insectoid Aristocrat

Heroica RPG - Quest#3: The Missing Matriarch
Dannylonglegs replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
"How thoughtfull of you. I will take the Emerald." he said as he dealt with Nyx. he then backed up and addressed the whole party. "Thank you all. This has been an excellent learning experience. I cherish the time we have spent together." Sylph then regarded his companions from within his cold iron helm. He would remeber their strengths, their weaknesses, It was good to be back in the game after such a lengthy period of inaction. He could feel vestiges of his former strength returning to him slowly. But he could wait. He was good at waiting. -
As a DND DM, I've heard this more than once, in fact, there's a book called Savage Species designed to address this. In my games, I don't allow it, simply because of how impracticle it is. I'm sure you mean a magical bat, or a human transformed into a bat, but if that's the case, it could be easier on everyone to make your character a man-bat hybrid or perhaps even a companion type character to another, humanoid one. The later allows you to roleplay for the bat and participate in the action with everyone else. It also lets you talk to yourself and not get called crazy to your face. Just my advise, I don't know what Sandy'll say. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

Heroica RPG - Quest#3: The Missing Matriarch
Dannylonglegs replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
"I knew Zed wasn't the one in the seat of power! I am most intruiged by the Zeigfried's plight. On to loot distribution. Although I joined this quest aspiring for an Amythest, I now hope that Nyx would be so kind as to bestow upon me her Emerald or Topaz gem (preferably Topaz, but either is acceptable.) And also, I think I'd like the ice bomb from the group's loot." -

"I fear that Zed was not the Mastermind he would have appeared. I think he may have just been another victim of whoever has really been pulling the strings. I hope I'm just being paranoid, but Altiar did mention that the voice sounded like that of someone from his past. Seemingly not Zed's." -
When I first read this, I could have sworn you said "I swear it was non-consensual!" Absolutely! That's one of the funnest parts of RPGs run by people and not computers! ~Insectoid Aristocrat

"Lovely. I'll pay homage to our comatose compatriot and bash the bed from the front row. Nighty night Zed!" -
Great! Thanks, sorry for being annoying ! I agree, Spirit Guard did seem a bit powerful. Not that I'm complaining. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

Well, If you recall, I was effected by the special power of the books which depleted all my ether. In response, I drank the tonic, but later recalled that my Cleric ability prevents special damage. You agreed to let me have the tonic back, but continued to use the un-updated stats which showed by ether one less that it would have been had I never used the tonic, and sorted it all out before then. Right? ~Insectoid Aristocrat

"As I have not poisoned my weapon, I shall attack Zed the bed from the front row. Someone must target him, lest he gain a free attack. I believe it's safest if I strike him, and do so last. That way, if everyone else is effective and the posts are destroyed, I'll get a shot at him, and if not, someone who had the possibility to do more damage did not waste his/her turn. Correct me if I'm wrong." "Also, I'm immune to the sleep attack by virtue of my class." "Conversely, I could make use of my water bomb. I hadn't thought of that. It's up to you Nyx." -

"Allrighty! Sorry that took so long, I just had to sort out some clerical errors. It's time I made myself useful! So, I think I'll Heal Namyrra first, and then Nyx, and then Cronk." -
Yep! So, I have your permission to correct my stats? Thanks! You're doing very well at managing all of the characters and games! ~Insectoid Aristocrat

Mmmmm. I love eating rotten apple cores! Sign me up! As for past Mafia and mystery XP, you can find mine here (this only includes major games, I've been in both massacres.) I am indeed free during September and October. I'm pretty sure my favorite figure is the Kimono Girl, cause she's Sooooo CuUute! My favorite movie is difficult to say. I just watched Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris and loved it, so, that, I guess. My favorite movie changes with each movie I watch . ~Insectoid Aristocrat

Not to sound annoying, but in the most recent update of my character, I have 1 less than full ether, though I have not expended an ether, correct me if I'm wrong, for the entirety of the game. I believe that this arose because I drank the tonic when my ether had been accidentally emptied, and all but one was restored. It's not a big problem, but I think my party members would benefit from the fullness of my ether. Please don't Tarrasque me. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

"I thought similarly at first, however, Cronk's remarkably clear head seems to have furnished a very likely answer! Fire is the element of the Pheonix, multiple heads, and the crest. It ALL fits. " -

I concur, but lets be prepared for both a sentient chest and bed, and maybe we'll finally get to the bottom of this. In addition to chesterine and Zed, we also have yet to find Zelda and the mystery villain behind her disappearance. Also, where's the original bathtub? -

"I`m sorry I was so unhelpful last trial. (ooc; I've been in transport for some while.) I hope I can make up for it with a clean hit on the brown frog from the first row." -
Oooh! Why, thank you! It's not everyday that someone gets to correct a GM. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
