  1. "Oh, cut her some slack," remarked Sylph after realizing that he payed more for less than anyone else. "Surely you can put food on the table with that dupe you pulled on me."
  2. I'm really sorry my participation's been low. School hit me like a train this year, and my Grand-father suffered from a stroke and is having a hard time forming comprehensible sentences. I've gotten back on track though and should be able to participate more. By the way, nice job on the colored scenery! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  3. "Oooh, I see. I fear I've made a grave mistake. Too late now, but hey, I'm not that great with money."
  4. Sorry for confusing you Capt.JohnPaul, I haven't updated my signature since the pirates. I've been pressed for time and figured you would use your own updated version of my stats anyway. I'll fix that now. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  5. "Actually, I'm quite sure that I have 42." (I have 59.) "So 42 for the 3 canteens is a deal?"
  6. "Excuse me mam," said Sylph approaching the Market Worker. "The price on these Canteens of water is far too high for me. I believe a more reasonable price would be 14 gold per, and at that price, I'd buy 3 for 42 gold."
  7. "Yes, sorry. Good Sir, I am the leader of this band or heroes. Here is the signet ring which should grant us access to the port, and if that is insufficient, here is the ceremonial dagger." I show him both
  8. "Before we divvy out the booty, we should consult the second-mate and see if He can tell us the significance of the hieroglyphs." Said Sylph as he glanced outside the cabin.
  9. "Oh yeah, right we should probably do something about that." mumbled Sylph. "Let's go get the Captain!" Sylph prepares his eyes for the darkness of the cabin.
  10. *Gasp* That report ends mid-sentence! With a "-" to indicate it was cut short! How recent is this report?
  11. "Ok, everyone gets 19 gold! Amorith Marvelo Gets the tonic, Boomingham gets the Bone, and Barur Tormek gets the venom. Any objections?"
  12. "Let's finish Bacari and his goons! Boomingham, I have no doubt that you are strong enough to take on the thug by yourself. I will Target Bacari from the Front row Order of Attack: Nyx Amorith Marvelo Lord Lawrence Boomingham Barur Tormek Sylph Solanum (Party Leader) "Bacari. You don't have to do this. Quit this now and we'll spare your life."
  13. "If Boomingham takes the Thug, I'll take the Swashbuckler. From the Front row."
  14. "Bacari. We meet again... for the last time." " Ok Party, Plans! Tormek and Marvelo, why don't you both target the Crewman? I'll take the Thug (from the front row) and Boomingham, you can go for the Swashbuckler. Nyx, as you have a ranged attack, I'd like you to strike Bacari, the traitor, from the back row with the power of your Amethyst. This should raise the effectiveness of our party. If anyone sees a flaw in my plan, feel free to point it out. Order of Attack: Nyx Lord Lawrence Boomingham Amorith Marvelo Barur Tormek Sylph Solanum (Party Leader) "Bacari, you'll regret the day that you turned your blue cape on Heroica. Now, you face your end."
  15. "Well! We seem to be off to a good start... Mmmmm. The smell of salt, sea, and sun. I may have to visit the uh... Pray to the porcelain god. Excuse me for... One sec... " After a brief sabbatical to the side of the boat, Sylph returned looking relieved. "Very well, As group leader, I should become acquainted with my party's special skills and motives. Let's see who I know here.... Nyx. Well, We've got time. By the looks of things we've got a long, strange trip ahead of us. May the porcelain god be on our side."
  16. "Yes!" Declared Sylph as he rose. "I come."
  17. Well, there's the brown bear ! Also, the "friends" theme has several new, stylized animals, including a potentially useful new butterfly! (I think the butterfly is new, but I don't know for sure.) ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  18. "curses..." muttered Sylph when he saw he had not been chosen to help the Shadeaux. He shut the book he was reading, something to the effect of Anatomical Anomalies, and stood up. He shook himself of his rigidity and his bat fell out from his cape where it had been resting. Sylph marched to the sign-up sheets and pulled out a quill with which he scrawled his name in dark bold letters on the sign-ups for Quest 8. Contented, he returned to his studies.
  19. Sure, although I'm not sure what we'll find there. Anything to get me away from all these dead bodies!
  20. Sylph stood up from his mysteriously emptied cup. He had decided that simply eavesdropping on conversations vicariously through his bat was no longer an expedient use of his time. He glided over to the library and disappeared within. He came out later with various tomes, one on the political and economic history of the Hinckwell and the Shadeaux families, one a dictionary of useful herbs to which sylph muttered "incomplete," and several other books with other uses. He returned to his too-dark-to-read-at stool and began reading.
  21. Aww, son, don't be. Daddy and me'll make everything better.... This is terrible! This great town hasn't seen a murder since the gold rush! Mr. Doctor, do you know what a gash wound like that could be caused by? Also, is it on the front or back of his head? I'm too squeamish to look.
  22. That reminds me, I am totally digging on those new tranq guns! Genius! I can't wait to get my claws on one of those trans-neon needles! Yes, the sets are heavy in stickers, which often I don't mind (I just don't apply them) especially if they're useful. However, in this case, the stickers don't seem particularly useful, but the sets (specifically the Heli) seem dependent on them for colour diversity. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  23. I finally found the discussion thread for friends after staring blankly at seven pages in the special themes forum. My 9 year old sister was very excited when she saw this theme and told me that if I bought her any of these sets she'd let me borrow some of the pieces. I'm quite impressed by all the fun and odd piece colours that are in these girl-focused sets, so I might take her up on that offer. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  24. Well, I am very pleased to see lego dinos that don't look like this! I am, however, off-put by the choice of yellow for the primary colour of the protagonists. I'm not a huge fan of yellow and use it very rarely. Other than yellow to tan, TLC seems to have kept Dino Attack's colour scheme (dark red as an accent color, and greys and blacks to even it out). I really liked their colour scheme. It was gritty. Yellow just reminds me of the construction sets that I look at before deciding that I'm never going to use all that yellow. I think I would have preferred if they went the camo route and threw in some dark green as an accent colour to a less blaring colour, such as tan or dark tan. And If they had to use obnoxiously bright colours, lime green would have been fine. Most safari trucks I've seen have been lime. But don't get me wrong, I appreciate a return of the dinos, and don't mind at all that they're only a few pieces. It'll fit right in with my lego cows! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  25. Yep, those were the days, back when I was your pet.
