Heroica RPG - Quest#25: Imbuing the Sword
Dannylonglegs replied to Bricksandparts's topic in The Heroica Archive
Ooc: I'd like to try something. Can I dive from the rock and attack an enemy while leading them away from the rock? -

"I'll repeat my sensible, strategically minded attack, bashing Werewolf B from the rock, yelling, 'Come at me bro!'" (Ooc: shouldn't Werewolf B have taken damage?) -
Did you ever figure out how to solve the puzzles? I had difficulty with that too in the beginning. You technically didn't need a photo sharing account. You had to search for the set that all the pieces came from. I used bricklink. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

Heroica RPG - Quest#25: Imbuing the Sword

"Oh jeez. This is going to be a massacre. And I'm kinda confused by where we all are. Ah well. I'll melee attack Werewolf B from the rock I guess. Oh, remember, WE HAVE TO TARGET EVERY ENEMY OR ELSE THEY GET EXTRA ATTACKS! So far, we've got one person with a poisoned arrow who is not attacking, and two people who are attacking the same guy! there are 5 of us and 6 of them. If we all attacked different monsters, only one would have a free shot. As it is, 3 of them do! " A better strategy, which we should try next, is to all attack different foes, with Erdy targeting a new one each turn to get the poison spread." (Ooc: are you familiar with DnD and other pen and paper rpgs and the methods used to show where characters are? Could you possibly make a grid showing our locations in reference to the monsters? I think it might help clarify things. ) -

Thanks for the stuff mate, so I guess you're the leader then? I admire your ambition," Sylph said, mentally noting Tom's rise in rank. -
I'm the reason we lost. I unvoted Tony! We would have had three sword bearers if I just hadn't unvoted Tony!!! I knew he was innocent, but I thought that the demons' votes counted and I was wasting mine on someone who wouldn't reach enough of a popular vote to be picked! AAARGH! Aside from that though, the game was great. I'm sorry I did not participate as much as I wanted. In the beginning of the year, I was overwhelmed by school work and I couldn't devote nearly enough time to making sense of the game. I considered at several points letting someone else have my character. I really wish I could have helped more before the lines were drawn. I had a great deal of fun compiling those clues though. I really nailed the identities of the scum without relying on Sylvia's hints and provided concrete evidence that Chris was right. If only I had known what to do with that info. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

"Well it seems like we've all lead before but Erdy, so if she wants it, I'd let her have it, but if she's fine with you leading, I'm fine with it too." -
Oh mighty Quest Master, shouldn't the ad in the hall call for one hero instead of 5? ~Insectoid Aristocrat

"I wouldn't mind having you lead," started Sylph, "but does anyone else want to, who hasn't lead even a side-quest?" -

(OoC: Realistically, it would make more sense for us to finish this fight before getting a new member, but at the same time, going ahead would deprive a guy of 1 level of xp. Conversely, it may take a while (like a day or three) to confirm a new player, so unless you have a ready volunteer, it may be best to continue this fight, saying that Oolin was just KO'd or poisoned and only noticed now or something. I don't know, just my opinion.) -
This is absolutely stunning! Though I've never seen this building in person, from the photos you've provided, it appears to be spot on! Everything's great, from your use of pieces to your use of colour. Great Job! ~Insectoid Aristocrat

Maybe we should have someone lead the dog to our trap. In the meantime though, I'll hit puppy B from the front row. -
Oh, I guess it is a majority vote. Well, He's scum guys. His clue may or may not be a complete fallacy. The scum are, not based on secret clues, but facts: Fred, Diesel, Samantha, Seigourney, Diana, and William. If any innocents have yet to vote, don't vote for Tony, we'll have more luck simply voting for Ingred and Penny, because the scum have given up hiding and will just vote for Fred and another of their own anyways.
-
Well I'll be damned. You aren't even trying anymore. Alright, well you're sacrificing the possibility of convincing Tony, or Richard (well you could have, maybe if you edited your accusation.) Whatever. Good thing this isn't a majority rule, but it wouldn't matter anyway, we'd be able to discount anything he says. We already know the scum, so changing my vote will do nothing.

That's sweet! I totally admire your dedication to creating a purist Star Wars! Your Zuckuss and 4-LOM are both great regardless of their purity! -
Yeah, well, I guess they have a near majority going. every person on our side counts now. I'm not going to let the demons ruin this vote though! We as a group get one more chance to make up for our failures and receive one more clue and I'll be damned if it goes to the scum. This is a public vote, which means everyone can see your attempts to derail it! If we cannot unite the innocent by fact substantiated theories, let us unite the innocent by exposing scummy actions. Also, I didn't make my vote correctly: I vote Ingrid Peck (iamded).
-
I just saw this. Where have you been? We as a group have decided that he was converted last night? We know for a fact that Ingrid and Penny are innocent, yet you still vote for someone else? Someone suspected by the majority to be scum? Please change your vote. Even Fred admitted that Will may be a scum, and if Chris's theory is right, Fred's the original demon! (of course his theory also pegs you as untrustworthy, but still.) Dark Brown fabric from Ingrid, Grey hair from me, dark blue fabric from Sheldon. Sam, I voted for Ingrid, but I would be equally willing to vote for Penny.

I'll whip Puppy B with my mace/rod-thing from the front row. "These puppies are bigger than the ones I'm used to roughing up." -
Sorry, You're right, I was confused. These votes are indeed secret, but still, remember, Ingred, Penny, and Tony are all innocent by both theories. They are the only ones. That public vote I made was for who should receive a clue though. "You will have one more chance to find a clue as to who you can trust. The three winners of today's challenge - Samantha Cole (Rufus), Fred Thomas (CorneliusMurdock) and Donna Falcon (Dannylonglegs) - will choose one person to receive a clue. Discussion as to who gets the clue should take place in this thread."
-
Thank you for letting us settle this useless argument. They were not changing, just drying up which let us see clearly which puddle occurred which day . Since when is observing and testing a hypothesis "baaaaad science?" That doesn't matter. What does though is that we can trust that clues from the puddles are reliable and un-tampered with, which is not to say we can trust everyone who gave a "clue." So, Sam and Fred, you and I have to pick someone to receive a clue. I suggest either Ingred or Penny. I'll vote for Ingred, but I'd be willing to go with Penny if you want. Both are guaranteed to be innocent. Keep in mind, not voting for an innocent to recieve a clue is scummy behavior, so I suggest you vote too, lest you find yourselves in hot water. Well, we don't have to let the demons get any more headway. We can find one person who we can all trust to be innocent aside from Ingred and Penny who is not in any way potential scum by either of the two theories circulating, and anyone who prefers Fred is guaranteed to be a scum. I don't think Tony has been accused. I suggest we all vote for Ingred, Penny and Tony, and those who are highly suspect in both theories, meaning, you, me, Sylvia, Fred, Diana, and Sieg all vote first to ensure nobody waits for the end in an ambush vote for fred (or you, to be fair.) Again those suspected are: By my theory : Fred, Diesel, Samantha?, Siegourney, Diana, and William. By Fred's theory: Sylvia, Chris, Richard, Diana, and William. and I guess me. I would have to be in it to make it work.

Inspect the puddles. See if they've changed. I'll appologize fully if I'm wrong. Inspect the puddles like I've tried twice!

You are really quite rude. I'm trying to help you get your facts straight. Not unless you follow the second model that I SUGGESTED which Fred later adopted, which I know can't work because it hinges on me being a demon which I'm not. Now, we can either be polite in our little dispute or we can be uncivilized about this, and the later will get us no further to the truth faster. To be honest I don't even care if you have your facts straight. I know you're a demon because William was converted last night, and I'm trying to provide a logical argument for those who aren't as sure of who's a demon as I am. Now, for my duty to vote for someone trustworthy. Sam, Fred, even though I am distrustfull of both of you, I'm sure we can set our differences aside to vote for someone who we can guarantee is innocent: "Sheldon Wills (Shadows), Penny Maltese (Peppermint_M) and Ingrid Peck (iamded) can all be trusted." either Ingred or Penny. I'd like to inspect the blood pools to see if they've changed.
