Heroica RPG - Quest#25: Imbuing the Sword
Dannylonglegs replied to Bricksandparts's topic in The Heroica Archive
I use my pickax on the rock. I use it heavily with all my strength and as quickly and quietly as possible. I ask one of my team-mates to form sharp stakes/caltrops which I place point up in the hole. Then I cover it with boards which I cover with dirt and what not. I clear the excess dirt and rock to avoid suspicion. I stockpile some of the larger rocks in case we need them for improvised weapons. -
Why I'd never! I'm merely trying to figure out the truth from the lies and find out who's trustworthy around here, and I don't trust you. No they're not changing... I don't think. The quote you quoted.... "So are the blood pools the same? Shape, size, (smell,) colour... etc? *Same color, yes. Same size and, I suppose, smell, no.*" states that all of the puddles are not alike in smell and size, but that they are all similar in colour. It does not say that they changed shape or smell. I'd like inspect the blood puddles to see if they have changed significantly aside from drying up and what not... ignoring the pesky pubes. Fair enough, you're right, I shouldn't have said that, it was dumb and un-thought-through. Thanks for calling me out on this. We have had to rely heavily on the clues in the pictures, but I don't think this is one of them. The reason the two pictures you showed are different is that god numbered them for our convenience. Instilling mistrust on the puddle clues (I'm assuming this is what you're doing, but you could legitimately be confused, or even, though I'd be very surprised, right) doesn't do you any good either because, unless I'm scum, you HAVE to be scum to make this statement "The group on Day 6: William, Donna, and Seigourney is untrustworthy." true. And you'll never convince me of your innocence unless you convince me that my husband was not converted last night, which he clearly was.

Sylph wanders over to the fence and tests the strength of the boards, wondering how sturdy are these boards. "If these boards are breakable enough, we can make a pit-fall trap and cover it with gravel/hay/whatever is covering the path. -

His jocular term for not being able to visualize what he was told by god that he sees. (OoC: Sorry, I was just referring to "QM Note: I'll get a picture of what the area looks like to give you more will to try to do this." No pressure. ) -
I said what I said aware that you hadn't seen Sheldon's clue. I was just saying that it sounded like you were trying to point away from William by saying that it would be him if you could trust me, which is a completely logical fear, but your conclusion didn't match your suspicion of me. If I couldn't be trusted, then I would be covering up for my own recent conversion. You didn't want to incriminate me however because I would protest and argue against you. If I was lying the pool isn't wider, the clues would point to me. But they don't and I have no doubt that you would have admitted that the evidence points to William had you seen Sheldon's clue.

Well, this is embarrassing, I seem to have made a mistake in my last post. "The five people chosen are: Ingrid Peck (iamded), Donna Falcon (Dannylonglegs), William Falcon (WhiteFang), Sheldon Wills (Shadows) and Tony Peck (Bob)." While his is indeed true, the ones who are confirmed to be trustworthy as of last night are actually, "Sheldon Wills (Shadows), Penny Maltese (Peppermint_M) and Ingrid Peck (iamded) can all be trusted." That's a pretty big mistake on my part. Let me fix my previous statement to account for this error of mine. Note, this does not make my first statement of the day any less legitimate, but I do encourage you all to find holes in my argument; I want to make sure I'm on the right track too. Not to mention that I forgot the puddle pointing to William appeared yesterday as opposed to this morning This stands, but this.... Doesn't. For your theory to work Fred, I must be the puddle 3 convertee. Which I know I'm not, but as of yet cannot prove with public clues (yet being a key word, because I'll keep trying). Also this is now rubbish. I know that you are scum because I know I am not and William was just converted, but I cannot prove that yet because I cannot prove my own innocence. I still think Sylvia and Chris are right because your theory hinges on my conversion which I know never happened. As further evidence of my own theory, which supports Chris's, on the first day, Sam was given a clue. The day 2 puddle is linked to Sam (according to Chris and his theory which is based on the crystals.) Siegourney got a clue on day 2, and day 3's puddle points to her. Diana got a clue on day 3, and day 4's puddle points to her. It would appear to me that the one converting wanted to control the clues and attempted to convert those chosen to receive them.

Sylph waits quietly for the matrix to load around him. -
Good! Thanks for your theory! Ok, well, I can fix a few of your points for you. Actually, no offence, but I think I can debunk it. 1st, for some reason, you completely ignored that Puddle 2, since you believe you can trust Seigourney, points to Chris. So Sylvia would need to be your fist demon, and Chris the 3rd. 2nd, Puddle three would NEED to be Williams or mine because; "The group on Day 6: William, Donna, and Seigourney is untrustworthy." It wouldn't be Seigourney's because that would throw the rest of your assumptions out of the water. 3rd, Puddle 5, even ignoring my clue, which jives with those of the others, has to belong to my poor, poor William. Therefore, he cannot be puddle 3s, making that one mine. Your theory, thought out, sort of points to me as a demon. But that doesn't work because..... "The five people chosen are: Ingrid Peck (iamded), Donna Falcon (Dannylonglegs), William Falcon (WhiteFang), Sheldon Wills (Shadows) and Tony Peck (Bob)." I got a clue last night, and so did Will. William was converted last night, and I wasn't, making your theory.... BUSTED! Sorry, I've always wanted to say that I still agree with Chris and Sylvia. Unless you can think of another way to work the theory that doesn't incriminate William or me until last night. I believe he's talking about the puddles as a whole. 'Are they all identical? Well, they all have the same quantity of blood and same colour of blood, but they don't smell the same/ belong to the same person.' This quote does not disprove our trust in the puddle clues. They're not changing. Look not for clues in the pictures. It doesn't say so in the rules of life, but really, I think you're being nit-picky here. Furthermore you have to be a demon, not because of these puddle clues here, but rather, because "The group on Day 6: William, Donna, and Seigourney is untrustworthy." yet, last night, "The five people chosen are: Ingrid Peck (iamded), Donna Falcon (Dannylonglegs), William Falcon (WhiteFang), Sheldon Wills (Shadows) and Tony Peck (Bob)." My husband and I were both not scum. This means that on day 6, you were the untrustworthy one, not William, nor me. Well you didn't explicitly say that, it fact, it sounded more like you were trying to make the facts pointing to his conversion seem less concrete and open the door for other options. " If not, the suspect pool gets a bit larger." not really. If I can't be trusted, than that puddle belongs to me. not "a wider pool." My theory doesn't rely on "visions or boomerang clues."

Mafia School: A Bedtime Story

Sorry to hear you're feeling low. I'm sure you'll find something, but I did spend an hour or two on it.
-
True, but, unless I'm lying, which I don't have any facts that prove I am not, that means my poor William has been converted. Yay! I'm participating! I believe that I forgot that you, Chris, did indeed get clues on the day of puddle 2, so my second theory is indeed bust. As I thought. That means... P1: Diesel, P2: No reliable info, P3: Siegourney, P4: Diana, P5: William.
-
I believe he was referring to your banter in reference to your misspelling of "somehow." Last night, I investigated the fifth puddle of blood, and I found grey hair. That points to either Tony or my beloved William. (not Diana, because her puddle is puddle four.) About all of these arguments: Call me a cynic, but I don't know about any clues about throwing gems in the pool, but, I do believe the untrustworthy can be extrapolated by looking over puddle clues and clues from the monk. So, here are the facts and lies, decide for yourselves: Puddle one contains: tan fabric (@Fred, day 3), sand green fabric (@Diesel, day 5), dark blue fabric (@Sylvia, day 7) Puddle 2: brown cloth (@Fred, day 5), dark brown hair (@Siegourney, day 7) Puddle 3: dark blue fabric (@Diana, day 4), black fabric (@Chris, day 4), dark orange hair (@Diana, day 5) Puddle 4: dark tan fabric*3 (@Siegourney, day 5), (@Chris, day 6), (@Tony, day 8), reddish hair (@Diana day 6), light blue fabric (@Fred, day 6), grey hair (@Donna (that's me!), day 7) Puddle 5: grey hair (@Donna (that's me!), day 8) Also, the monk, after we voted for untrustworthy folks to receive clues, provided us with the following: The group on Day 5; Diana, Fred, and Chris is not trustworthy; The group on Day 6: William, Donna, and Seigourney is untrustworthy. So, here is my hypothesis: P1 belongs to Diesel. Either Diesel or Sylvia is lying. Diesel would lie to avoid suspicion, but if Sylvia lied, she'd be a scum trying to protect another scum, and that theory doesn't jive with my other thoughts. P2: I honestly have no clue. Taken at face value, this points to either Fred or Chris, but I don't trust either Fred or Siegourney, who are the only two to have submitted clues on it. (more later) P3: This one's Siegourney's. I disregard Diana's orange hair (because she's a chronic liar) because, "The group on Day 6: William, Donna, and Seigourney is untrustworthy." I'm not untrustworthy, and at the time, I was sure of William's innocence. Infact, there's no way he was converted unless he was the head demon, which I don't believe. None of the clues point to him, so Seigourney must be this puddle's resident. P4:Diana. P5: Tony or William, I don't know which. I hope it's not my hubby, but I cannot trust either. Fred would be the original demon. This line of thought best supports the theories of Chris and Sylvia, who now have my trust because of this. In Fairness, I considered what the results would look like if Chris and Sylvia were scum and it goes like this; Original demon: Sylvia P1: Richard P2: Chris P3: no reliable info: William P4: Diana P5: Tony (only one left w/grey hair) William would have to be the P3 to make this statement true: "The group on Day 6: William, Donna, and Seigourney is untrustworthy." but no evidence aside from that shows up. If I forgot any information or any of you find a flaw in my theories (including the last) (using public evidence), please say so.

Sylph gently chuckled at Olinn's reaction. Turning to the young man, Sylph stated, "If things are not arranged, then nothing is ordered." Pleased with his non-sequitor, Sylph nodded in agreement with Thomas. -

Mafia School: A Bedtime Story
Dannylonglegs replied to Sandy's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Hey, what do I know? Obviously, the lesson here is read every page of a topic before posting in it... Or at least the 1st and the most recent 3. I'd love to play this! 1. Why I should be in your game: If there are enough inexperienced players vying for placement, I shouldn't be, but, assuming that there are slots yet un-filled by those unfamiliar to the great game of life, there are several reasons why I would make a fine addition to the savory stew that would be your mafia game. I, like a crisp carrot, am resilient and nutritious, bound and determined to achieve my secret goal and knowledgeable in regards to rules and roles. I, like a crucial cube of bullion, am stylish and flavorful, fully capable of making bizarre similes and using spell-check. I, like the chunky potato, am appealing to all and capable of hiding my clandestine initiatives from those who are suspicious ("eat me, you won't get fat, I'm a vegetable"). If none of these traits are endearing to you, consider then, how tomato-like I am: willing to fill any category you desire: Fruit, vegetable, Scum, Townie, neutral, no win condition, NPC, I would do near anything If you picked me. 2. What is my favorite Fairy Tale: I am familiar with all of the common stories, and I must say, my favorite is that of the Little Red Riding Hood, who bravely wandered alone in the dark scary woods, only to get eaten by the big bad wolf. I am a fan of all Fairy Tales though, and how they influenced the fantasy genre. I like the Frog Prince which either started, or played upon, but definitively popularized the idea of a witch turning someone into a frog. I like Miss Muppet because it's funny. I am a huge fan of the villains of the fairy tales, regardless of story, simply because, evil is cool (Maleficent from the Sleeping Beauty is my favorite), therefor I like the dark twists of the Grimm stories. Well, there you have it. If I'm, not chosen, this'll be one to watch, thanks for your consideration. My "about me" page has all of my Mafia history information. I haven't played in a while, but I have been in several games. ~Insectoid Aristocrat -

Vote: Sheldon Wills (Shadows). He seems relatively safe, and he does have a large following. If Fred is evil, sheldon is not. Not that I'm fully convinced about Fred.

Dannylonglegs replied to Bricksandparts's topic in The Heroica Archive
So far, Thomas has offered up his 59 and also bummed Olinn's 19 (I don't know if he's subtracted this from his money yet) and I've pooled my 59 (the 30gp that I got as part of the group and 19 of my own which I've subtracted) Now we're waiting for Olinn's 30 (which he didn't add to his stats either), Erdathcath's 59 (that's a mouthful of a name, mind If I call you Erd or Erdy? or Birdy?), and Hoke's 59. then we will have the 295gp we need to buy these things and get the blazes out of this market. Also, Hoke, do you mind talking the Merchants into lowering the prices of the goods? We've got 137gp in the pool. -
Power Miners vs. Rock Raiders
Dannylonglegs replied to Oky's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Rock Raiders and Aquanauts FTW! Nostalgia's the best man! I personally think the Rock Raiders win for one reason (aside from nostalgia): they're from the future! They have a blasted space craft! The power miners have better drills? Nuke 'em from orbit with "mining equiptment." The rock monsters don't have much of a chance either. ~Insectoid Aristocrat -

"Great! I'll pitch in another 19 gp, added to the 30 I received (but never added to my stats) makes the requisite 59 gp. before we buy though, our knight should try to haggle the prices down. (you could argue that since we're buying in bulk blah blah blah."
