I kind of doubt that the scum would do such a thing. It is a possibility though. While I doubt the scum would over-think to that extent and rely on such heavy-handed manipulation as that, there is a distinct benefit to be had if the gambit works. That said, it's safer to lynch/kill all the blockees to get a better picture of what went on. In my mind, it's more likely that the scum tried killing again (or converting ) Wait, wow, you said something useful-ish! Shadell, had you already used your lunch at this point or did you not start with one?

Well, What a great surprise to wake up to! Hurray! We caught a scum! This confirms the jail-keeper in my mind. Again, interesting that there was no scum kill. also interesting that we have 2/3 blocks. A regular blocker as well as the jail-keeper? Does that mean we have a regular protector in addition to the jail-keeper and the blocker? Not that I'm not pleased to hear that if that's the case, but it does sound a little bit suspicious that there would be that many blockers. Just my two cents. Don't eat them Oscar, I've been saving them for a rainy day! At any rate, Lynching/Day-Killing the two blockees would probably work, although, there is always the chance that the blockee blocked by the jail-keeper was actually the scum target for the night-kill who ended up protected. I guess we'll find out more when the second identity goes public. I do, however, feel that Jimmy's open-ness with the whole affair, and his openness with his stolen lunch paints a rather pro-town picture, but I'm far from trusting of anyone right now. That could just as easily be a ploy to convince us of his Townieness. Still though, such openness is bound to draw unwanted attention, so I still get the slightest Townie vibe from him. His defensive behavior yesterday does somewhat counteract that. I'm surprised so many believe that the day-killer is scum because we haven't seen any night kill. While I won't entirely write it off, it's kind of clear that the day-killer's action have been pro-town, whether he's the vig or an SK (I'm more inclined to believe the latter, because it would be somewhat unfair to the scum if our own killer did not have the same restrictions (ie: running into one of our blockers) as the scum-killer.) It's rather clear that he/she's focused on silent lurkers, which is A. good for the Town by getting rid of the "fat" so to speak, and also the potential lurking scum, and B. good for an SK by getting rid of targets that the Town would get rid of otherwise to bring everything closer to an end at which point the SK will win. Also, it's not so far fetched to believe that the scum was blocked twice. It seems like we're kind of loaded in the blockage department. And then there's the possibility that someone got converted. If I haven't said it before, I'll say it again some-more, I don't like conversions. If I were scum and I had to pick who to convert, it'd be Oscar in a second. Sorry mate, but not only are you cute and stompable, but you're "confirmed" Town by leading a lynch, and apparently an investigation too, not to mention all the people you've been talking to behind closed doors. I suggest to the investigator to check him again tonight. He's extremely useful on our side, but a huge liability on theirs.

"Hm" grunted Sylph in agreement. "Such an abomination cannot reside on this world." -
I agree... Although, strategically, finishing these battles up fast is the right decision to make. Less HP to heal and whatnot. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

Endgame, I don't have much time right now, but I wanted to say, this last battle was probably the most fun all quest! I love the varied immunities and powers that made me have to think throughout the battle. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

"Hmmm. Pondered Sylph. "That last bit's somewhat unnerving. So's the bit about Regret. That's fine though. We'll figure him out. If he's as smart as the Psychologist thinks, he'll simply quit." -

Heartlake Heartbreak - Day Two: Flagpole Sitta
Dannylonglegs replied to Darkdragon's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I'm sorry I've been rather silent today. Studying practicing for Horse Finals Races has been tedious. A. There is no need at this time to even confirm that, even if you're Town and you think the killer's scum. There's nothing you as an individual could even do about it in that case. If you think that the day-killer's scum, you debate it in the day thread. You don't even need to know the real identity at that point. It shouldn't change anything. I gotta say, your search for the killer's name is rather suspicious. (devils advocate though, Would the scum team advise such an obvious scum move, or allow it?) B. Your argument that the killer is scum trying to look like scum is kind of stretching it. The only way that such a strategy would be implemented is if the group is comprised of relatively inexperienced players. The scum would weigh the benefits of killing Jane and Walter (Town in this hypothetical) and appearing Town over the benefits of killing Hinkley, who has already been confirmed as a Townie and who seems to have contact with at least one individual who possesses a night action, or someone else who seems to be a strong leader for the Town, and probably still Walter, or whomever else seems to be a target for the lynch, and not appearing Town. They have no strong incentive to hide their presence, and the confusion caused is not enough to seriously hinder us. It seems much more likely that the Killer's Town, which again begs the question, why you tried to figure out. Thus keeping the day open. But I think it's about time I cast my vote. Obvious;y, I'll Vote: Walter (Waterbrick Down) There's no reason not to test the night action results. Oscar, that lie detector data is really useful! I agree that it's likely many scum did not claim out of fear, so it's good to know who didn't, and quite corroborating that Walter is one of them. It'll be more useful once we find out that Walter is indeed scum, as we suspect. A little note though, I claimed both innocent and Town. -

Heartlake Heartbreak - Day Two: Flagpole Sitta
Dannylonglegs replied to Darkdragon's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Well that's a possibility, but I do doubt it now considering the timing of it (voting hasn't even started yet), the coincidence of it (why Jane, who Oscar asked to die, and not Wild Dragon, or another non-participator, or both/all?), and the repetition of it (2 times in in a row.) -
Post about Cartoons and Anime you like
Dannylonglegs replied to Peppermint_M's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I've recently watched all of both Baccano! and Durarara!!, the former Dubbed and the latter Subbed, and I love them. They're both excellent and I believe, both by the same guy. (I think he also did Vamp! which may be my next series to watch.) I adore Isaac and Miria, who are crazy awesome, and from Durarara, I think my favorite character is Shinra, who I can totally see myself in. Does anyone who's watched either of these Animes have a suggestion as to which I should watch next? And if you like Anime and haven't seen these (or don't like anime), then I suggest you see them because they are soo good. ~Insectoid Aristocrat -
Heartlake Heartbreak - Day Two: Flagpole Sitta
Dannylonglegs replied to Darkdragon's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I agree on it likely being a vig, but it would be an interesting dynamic to have a day SK, and night-time vig and scum-killer. The vig may have refrained from killing. I don't actually know anything, but that would be interesting. It is possible that it's an SK, and if it is, I'm glad it's seemingly on our side for the time being. -
Heartlake Heartbreak - Day Two: Flagpole Sitta
Dannylonglegs replied to Darkdragon's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Well, I was completely and utterly wrong. Sorry. It seems these day-deaths are in fact the work of some day-killer. I won't press it further, because it would appear that the Day-killer is on our side, but it's certainly odd that so many people called it before hand though. I thought it was certainly unlikely. I wonder if Oscar's right and Jane was scum. I really couldn't tell the difference between this game and her usual game, but either way, those who add nothing to the conversation aren't particularly pro-town even if they are town. Anyways, I agree that Walter A. was acting suspicious yesterday, and B. was blocked on a night with no scum kill and therefore should be lynched. -

Well this certainly is information! I am always amazed with your behind-closed-door skill. I think this may be enough to lynch him. There are always other options to be considered though, but I think Walter may have some 'splaining to do. (Most beneficially in private)
