  1. While it's commendable on your part that you're trying your best to think independently, I still can't help but question the rationale and timing behind your proposed non-voting strategy. Not voting in the middle of our ordeal (day 5), after three successful lynches, when we are getting close to weeding off the last remaining scum? It's something unheard of in similar holes in the desert and something that we should not be resorting to at this stage. And what if there really was no investigation conducted on Hans? It's called a TRAP, and as William said, it paid off and we caught him with a BLATANT LIE. Every move we make here involves some sort of risk, and between voting and not voting, I'd rather go with the more decisive move than passively waiting for a day to pass pinning our hopes to an unsure investigation. It may be just a difference in our personality and playing strategy, but I'd rather be more active than passive, decisive than indecisive. ("It's better to have loved voted and lost than to never to have loved voted at all." ) The last time I've heard of people branding people as sheep they were on the 'scummy side of things' and were on the losing end. The sheepish bandwagoning you seem to be vehemently questioning resulted into three successful lynches, so I won't consider those useless and I won't resort to collectively insult their intelligence just because they've correctly placed their trust to their shepherd and voted with the flock. And looky-looky what we have here. Someone is desperately pushing our hosts trying to buy more time eh? Hoping that the 'sheep bandwagon flock' will change their minds and not vote?! I wonder who could be this person behind the objection?
  2. And you consider your "No Voting Strategy" not risky? The way I see it not voting is basically giving the Cultists one free day of taking one of the Virgins tonight, and a chance to have one of their fellow Cultists survive a day before his true Cultist affiliation is revealed. Oh, there's even a chance that Hans' probable Cultist affiliation won't get verified should his Cultist buddies take out the investigator and/or virgin flavor cop tonight. Haven't those grim anti-Campie scenarios crossed your mind Mr. Nicholas? In my books, not voting is the move that is too much risky at this point. It's already a numbers game between the Campies and the Cultists from this point forward, and we cannot afford to be indecisive at this stage of our ordeal. Besides, Hans has a.) made a critical slip-up of not knowing the obvious connection of a Virgin and an Innocent (you can say all you want but it ain't a lame basis to vote someone) and b.) he already repeated the same oinky-oink-oink desperation move pulled off by Ms. Swallocks yesterday, inventing a hollow defense based on a made-up "I'm a Cultist, bwahahaha" message/counter-argument against his accuser. It's quite a shame that I'm seeing this perplexing move and tactic from someone I've held with such high regard throughout this ordeal. If Hans do turn out to be a Cultist tomorrow, your behavior today and weird defense of him is duly noted. Of course we will in case such unlikely scenario happens. No need to remind us since it's but common sense to look at the person(s) behind the wrong lynching of someone.
  3. See, look, William just told me he was a cultist. I'm telling the truth, because why would I pull evidence out of thin air? I'm not going to vote for William, though, because I believe he's not a cultist and is just being lied to. Irregardless, I'm not expecting to be saved, since I'm already a suspect on several lists. Why in this freakin' goddamned desert would someone declare he's a Cultist out of nowhere?!? It doesn't make sense for anyone to pull off such a thing, moreso by a person of William's caliber. If this is your defense for the accusations thrown against you Hans it reminds me of one I've read in my favorite books which is considered 'as strong as a wet toilet paper'. And you still haven't explained the list you posted a few days back without backing much evidence against your suspects. And suspecting them for being silent and flying off the radar? How ironic and insulting coming from someone who's active as a sleeping sloth himself. I knew you claimed Virgin privately, and I would've agreed to at least give you chance for verification, but pulling off a similar dumbfounding move like what your fellow Cultist Betty Swallocks did? megablock Cultist. Vote: Hans Gubernaculum (Bob)
  4. Even if it disheartening to lose Mehmet and Nadir last night even if we successfully nabbed a Cultist in Ms. Swallocks, now is not the time to grieve and succumb to the pressure. Patrick, Mehmet, and the rest of our fallen comrades have paved the way for us, and let us not let them die in vain. It's up to us remaining Innocent Campies to continue the fight against these megablock Cultists. I know Mehmet is a very intelligent person and even if he's already gone I'm sure he had a back-up plan in the worst case scenario that he prematurely dies, and he has probably entrusted (hopefully!) the vital intel he has gathered throughout to at least one person (or a couple). I will start by listing down those with "publicly-known claims" (though subject to verification): Jennifer Taylor (Sandy) - claimed Virgin on Day 1 Hugh Janus (Eskallon) - "appeared" to claim Virgin on Day 1 Roger Goodenarde (Prof. Flitwick) - claimed "Virgin"-Cop on Day 1 Shiela Suxsumb (Tamamono) - "forced" to claim Virginity on Day 3 due to mistaken(?) accusation by Mehmet And here are the remaining players: Johnson Cox (Cecilie) Ophelia Balls (fhomess) Hans Gubernaculum (Bob) Mellifluous Murgatroyd (Scubacarrot) Nicholas Hoare (Fugazi) William Fitzpatrick (CorneliusMurdock) Aloysius (ADHO15) Gordon Bennett (KielDaMan) Toulouse Leplot (WhiteFang) Ishaq Ettaq (Wuntin) Ahmed Apu (Zepher) Of these 11: - 2 are claiming to be Virgins privately - One is claiming to have a "useful role for the Town", the nature of which I still don't know but I'll try to verify - From the remaining 8, the investigator, protector, "cloak-giver" are still possibly there (if they weren't one of Mehmet/Nadir who got killed last night) Again this list is based only on my conversations behind the scenes, I'm sure other Townies have their own private communications with other people as well. I hope this could start the ball rolling for us in systematically identifying the remaining cultists. If other Townies have a "better list" than mine, or have some significant intel to share, feel free to contact me if you'd like to 'compare notes'. I know most of you might have doubts on me, but I can clearly prove my innocence privately (or even publicly).
  5. Thanks for sharing this review Speedboat! Even if I'm not much of a fan of the dirtied Stormies I think this is a pretty decent small-sized set and a good opportunity for those who missed the previous similar Droid Escape set back in '01.
  6. From one Batman Tumbler fan to another, excellent work my friend! The way you captured the overall look and jam-packed this micro-Tumbler with the necessary details in such a small scale is really impressive (and cute too!).
  7. Ingenuity at its best! Awesome work by these two young lads! These two should get some kind of compensation from the Superglue and the camera manufacturer (Canon) for proving their respective products' worth.
  8. Undoubtedly the best ARC-170 MOC I've laid my eyes on! I've always been a fan of this ship, and the attention to detail of this UCS creation is simply superb! I could recognize how even the smallest of detailing is very accurate to the reference material, a testament of not only your building expertise but how well-researched your planning is and of course the execution in real bricks is even much better. Excellent work man! Though out of curiosity, any rough estimate how mayn parts did you use in this MOC?
  9. It's because you have your profile views turned off.
  10. I was not in the ToyFair, but I'm pretty sure the Sith Troopers will have new helmet molds: I think the Republic Trooper, Jace Malcom, will have a helmet for maximum playability.
  11. Thanks for the link. While I understand that it has to be a oversized to accommodate the opening function of the helmet, I still find it too unnatural and awkwardly large. I honestly would've preferred something along the lines of this custom Iron Man - no opening function yet looks good. Well. I guess we can't have everything the way we want it to be.
  12. I must admit the Hulk minifig is beginning to grow on me, especially now with the head printing which significantly gives the fig an overall better look than the crude preliminary version we've previously seen before. Cap's pretty good IMO. Now what I'm interested to see is how they'll fix the hideous oversized helmet of Iron Man.
  13. Thank you very much to Phil of Blogomatic3000 for the images and to andhe for sharing this hot news! The Fellowship minifigs alone are reasons enough to collect almost all (if not all) of the LOTR sets lined-up. Really can't wait to have these!

  15. That's what you get for making a list of suspects based on inactivity/flying-off-the-radar (and not backing it up with significant evidence) which you are certainly NOT guilty of, am I right Hans? -------- I've had initial suspicions on Betty before, but not much evidence to back it up. But after getting some hints in the earlier days that Mehmet was suspicious of her, and with a couple of other campies voicing out their suspicions on Ms. Swallocks (like what Mr. Cox did yesterday publicly), the confirmatory evidence by Mehmet today is but the final nail on Betty's coffin (or the final 'push-of-a-button' in the Carbonite Console?). I will therefore: Vote: Betty Swallocks (TinyPiesRUs) Here's hoping we'll get three cultists in a row!
  16. I've merged this with the existing topic. And please be kindly reminded that the maximum image size allowed in the forum is 800 x 600 pixels so please re-size your images accordingly.
  17. Am I dreaming? Two lovely Friends visiting me in this goddamned desert hole out of nowhere - BEST DAY EVAH! You can now me feed me to IMHOTEP, seriously. But we still have some cultist-weeding-out work to do, and this re-energized engineer will do his part despite his limited time to help. It's sad to see our watcher Ms. Fargo go , but looking at the bright side she ain't a Virgin that the Cultists want nor the investigator/protector who are both still useful to us. And two scum lynches in a row? Double  Now to go back talking to some people privately...
  18. Not as helpful as I would've wanted to be, which I've explained to some people I've talked to privately just recently, including you Mehmet. While I understand the (metagame-ish) uncharacteristically suspicions surrounding me due to my perceived inactivity and not being 'helpful', I think it's quite inappropriate to judge a person (based on his activity on past games) you've only met for the first time. I'm even thinking I may have made a mistake for signing-up in this game expedition due to some real-life inner issues I'm currently dealing with. But I will still talk to you further privately Mehmet, I know you would understand my situation and hopefully, at the very least you'll be able to strike one Campie here off your suspected Cultist list so we could deal with the real ones. Like what I said earlier, after losing one of the two pillars of the Camp in Mr. Fitzdef, I thought it was worth: a) investigating you again to somehow clear any more doubts that you're an Innocent, and b) protecting you if you'll be confirmed as an Innocent. Again I'm not trying to influence the investigator, he/she may or may not follow my humble suggestion, I just thought it was worth exploring. I hope you find the sincerity in my intentions for suggesting that course of action, even if it is flawed by experienced gamers people's standards. Same here, I was rather harsh on you Sheila and I apologize to you too. I didn't want to hurt your feelings since I feel, in a weird way, like we've been friends before in a previous life (previous games). I call it competitive respect. --------------------------- I don't know if my vote will still matter at this point, but the way Mustafa tried to point out Hugh's mistake during the Day 1 voting also stuck to me as suspiciously trying to push Hugh's lynching at that point. Though admittedly, I also contemplated on bringing this issue to our hosts Ossie and Is privately, but didn't push through with it after realizing that what ultimately matters is the majority's decision and not some unfavorable result due to some 'technicality issue'. With the additional incriminating circumstantial evidence brought up by some of our fellow Campies today, it just cements my initial suspicion on Mustafa, so I will: Vote: Mustafa Nidia (Brickdoctor)
  19. Like what I've said in the sign-up thread: My 10-vacation stars today and as such my online time will be reduced to a couple of hours a day and will solely be devoted to this game. Just explaining my expected inactivity before anyone takes it for anything...
  20. Unfortunately, neither of them have addressed my accusations on them, either publicly (game thread) or privately (PM). After I made that public accusation, the late Mr. Fitz however "alerted" me privately that he was leaning towards Ms. Balls as a Townie: Not the strongest "defending of a player", but I respected Patrick's experience on "reading people", that's why I didn't push through with the accusation anymore. But it is indeed striking that they didn't even bother to answer the points I have raised. Ms. Taylor had a lot of explaining to do when Hugh "went after her", but Ms. Balls... she just kept silent... If not for Patrick's 'defense' I would have went after her too.. Anyone still think Ms. Taylor or Ms. Balls are worth lookin' at?
  21. Not if the Fellow is a "Panda hiding behind the Rabbit".
  22. Then who the heck are these "know-it-alls" who suspiciously asked to remove Patrick's protection last night? I'm not asking you to divulge them publicly, but at least you'll be able to "evaluate" them and their hidden intentions based on your conversations with them. Still, I don't understand why any Innocent would do that move unless they have a "good plan" or they're simply as paranoid as Ms. Tomato-Face there.
  23. Ok, the "much much much thing" might've been a bit exaggerated, and I'm sure you're a "hard-worker"at these types of situations, but it's still a no-brainer that Mr. Fitz is more "valuable" than you and I would've wanted him to be alive right now than you. Heck, if I was in your position, I would gladly sacrifice myself and take a bullet to save Patrick since I know he is much more useful than I am in this desert hole - it's called "taking one for the team". You might be an Innocent, but you made a big and risky move that backfired against us, double black-eye at that: a) your plan got Patrick killed (one of our most valuable Townies) and b) as a consequence of your "uncoordinated" plan, you made Mehmet wrongly suspicious about you which eventually outed your Virginity. Looks like the cowardly Cultists are enjoying themselves right now with this Townie mess-up. I suggest you do the same Tomato-face, and put more effort on it, especially when "planning your moves". Even if your uncoordinated moves are highly questionable, I will still give you the benefit of the doubt and will follow Mehmet's admission that he wrongly accused you. I know all of what I've just said is "unproductive" as it doesn't really move us forward in finding out the Cultists, sorry but I just can't help feel disappointed with what happened.
