The Curse of IMHOTEP - Conclusion

Ha! Definitely one of the symptoms of mafia game addiction , but also a testament of one's dedication and passion to the game. But you're not alone, I'm sure others have experienced this too, I had my own share of 'sleep hours sacrifice' because of playing mafia games. -

The Curse of IMHOTEP - Conclusion
XimenaPaulina replied to Pandora's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
And that was the main reason why I was really very suspicious of you Fangy throughout this game, as I can't help but metagamely equate your silence in this game from the one in Bloodbrick II, where you were scum and you admitted afterwards that you have difficulty lying and hence chose to remain silent. Please next time if you're Town spare us the suspicion and be more visible in the game threads. I couldn't agree more about the "not-so-good" feeling about being left out of the inner circle. I know the other Innocents felt the same way, of being helpless, 'useless', and probably slightly sheepish by conveniently following Mehmet most of the time. But I knew there was a good reason for being left-out, and it was for security of the Town's intel (though the scum really got in there waaay too deep I must say). After Hinck died, that was when I practically had to beg indirectly complain/vent out the frustration of not knowing anything to Cornelius, which eventually led me joining the OOP 2. Even it was a collective decision on our part, it really sucks that we were wrong on killing you Zeph, one of the mistakes that we wished we couldn't have done. But come to think of it, if it weren't you who was killed that night, we would've still killed an Action Campie (either Fangy or ADHO) as Tammo didn't really strike as us scum at that point. That was really one of the toughest 'sacrifice' we had to make to narrow down the suspect list further. -

The Curse of IMHOTEP - Conclusion
XimenaPaulina replied to Pandora's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Actually it did make me metagamey suspicious of Cornelius during the earlier parts of the game (pre-Mehmet death) because of that. I guess I still can't trust my instincts up to this point, as I even still suspected Fangy for being eerily silent throughout the game. I would even say it myself: Cecilie has been far more productive and valuable to the Town than I would've wanted me to be. She really showed her true worth in this game, unlike in her previous games wherein she didn't get the chance as she always gets outed early. -

Thank you for a truly wonderful game Pandora and Rufus! I'm really honored to be part of this , and at the same time quite ashamed for what I did on Day 7, so I sincerely apologize for that. Congratulations to my fellow Innocents! Major props to Hinck for practically laying out the grand plan right from the very start, I'm sorry I was so overly cautious in the beginning and I didn't trust you right away. After you were gone it was a good thing that Cornelius stepped in, and he truly was a very able leader and instrumental for our victory. And a few couple of players that really impressed me: Town: Cecilie - you approached me playing the "I am a n00b" card, but your brilliant strategies in the OOP 2 is evidence enough that you have a good grasp in effective strategizing in these mafia games. I'm sure with a few more games under your belt, your "people-reading instincts" will also develop and you'll become one of the very good players around (if you're not already one). Scuba - even if you were not part of the inside circle (OOP - "Order of the Penis" - for those who don't know! Aptly give my Hinck himself! ), you still made some good suggestions to Cornelius which are actually in-line in what we've planning privately, so it just goes to show how good your strategy-making is and you showed genuine concern for the Innocent's cause even if you're only a Virgin without an Action to coordinate. Those two things really make you standout IMO. Scum: Foog - you're as "nice as hell" and I still couldn't picture you as Scum. The way you infiltrated deep into the Town's Inner Circle really made life difficult for the Innocents. Your defense in your last day was solid, and we just practically had to go with the basis of you being an "untargetable" to lynch you. Great job I must say! Tammo - you being the last scum standing is a testament how you've grown as a player. You really have shown vast improvement, and you could always look back at this game and claim that you were the last scum standing and you NEVER, as in EVER, gave-up up to the very end. Excellent work, I'm so proud of you especially since we're Mafia School batchmates. I'll post more after I gather my thoughts, and I still have some work to do here. Yeah I'm curious about this too. How close were the Cultists actually were in achieving their goal. -

Looks very convincing IMO, and I even see some nice bits of custom camo prints on the arms. Any chance to take a shot of the whole set-up? I'm always curious to see the overall set-up behind forced-perspective builds.

The Curse of IMHOTEP - Day Seven
XimenaPaulina replied to Rufus's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
There's already someone assigned Hugh, sorry. It would be best if none of us Virgins would do the coordination just to be on the safe side of things, in case Sheila is telling the truth. The person will be contacting the Action Campies probably before the Day ends. -

XimenaPaulina replied to Rufus's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Just a minor retraction of my previous stated suggestion: It was pointed out to me that it would be best for someone who is not a Virgin to coordinate the actions tonight. So Sorry Hugh, as much as I trust the results on you, a non-Virgin Townie is seen as a better coordinator than any of us Virgins. Hope you understand. -

XimenaPaulina replied to Rufus's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I have to give it to you Sheila, you really have come up a with quite a convincing story, one that even makes me want to believe it. But unfortunately, like the previous lynches before you, the only way for us to ultimately verify the truth is to feed you to IMHOTEP. Sorry that's just the harsh reality of the situation we're into. Sorry it had to end this way for you, I hope there was such a less harsh choice. But if (and that's a big if) ever you're telling the truth (and this ordeal ain't over by tomorrow), we appreciate you sharing vital info that will surely help us tomorrow in finding that traitor you're referring to. But even if we do make a 'missed' lynch on you, we always have a back-up plan. Since you already outed all of the roles, might as well make this a public mind game for "the traitor" (if he/she does exist): - We have four remaining Virgins, one of them you claim as the Traitor. One of them is doubly cleared by Roger with the re-verification being made just last night so said first Virgin is cleared and not the traitor. - Roger will re-verify one more of the remaining Virgins tonight (second Virgin). Who will that be? Let that funckin' traitor blow his/her mind guessing. - We still have the investigator who can investigate one of the Virgins tonight (third Virgin). Those two roles alone will clear two Virgins already by tomorrow. So there will be one remaining "Traitor Virgin Suspect". - The tracker could track the fourth Virgin in case he's the killer and goes out killing to tonight (33% chance of success of tracking the "Traitor Virgin") - The protector has 25% chance of successfully protecting the right Virgin and preventing any kill from "Traitor Virgin". And for all of this to happen, there has to be some drastic change on who calls the shot since the Virgins are now being suspected. If no one will object, and I don't think this will ultimately hurt our cause, the only trustworthy Virgin among the four is Hugh Janus (cleared by Roger last night - he knows this). He is the most logical one to coordinate the actions since all Virgins are now being suspected. Once again, here is my suggested plan for tonight: 1. Roger will re-verify either Jennifer, William, or Gordon 2. Bluto will investigate either Jennifer, William, or Gordon 3. Toulose will track either Jennifer, William, or Gordon NOTE 1: It is important that there should be no double actions performed on one of the three virgins for maximum results 4. Aloysius will protect any of the four Virgins. NOTE 2: Only Hugh should be the one to know who will be the specific targets of the night actions. DISCLAIMER: Consider all of these moot and irrelevant if Sheila is proven to be lying tomorrow (which will eventually end this ordeal once and for all). It's up to you guys if you want to heed my suggestion, it's just a bold suggestion if we really want to be sure that there won't be any "Traitor Virgin" among us as Sheila claims. -
The Curse of IMHOTEP - Confirmation & Discussion
XimenaPaulina replied to Rufus's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
We're ok now. But like what I've said to Tammo privately, I have been thinking about "taking a break" from these games (even without this incident) since it's pretty much clear that my brash playing attitude isn't fit for the friendly playing atmosphere that EB is trying to promote and foster. I remember when you pointed out in one of the earlier days that there are people behind the scenes who are not at all amused by the way I'm playing. I'm well aware that there are several (or even lots) of people who don't like playing with me, and who find my in-game insults rude, uncivilized, and inappropriate. Taken out of context, yes, but spoken by the character within the bounds of the game? I guess that's where the difference in player's school of thoughts lie, and I think my pathological competitiveness isn't cut out for EB's mafia games. Like what Foog pointed out earlier, the insults being part of the recent games is spreading, and I acknowledge the fact that I've been part of the problem that's why it's best I step out for a while. I appreciate the kind words that others had for me, but I realize I'm not the best role model for a good mafia player and there are other better, proven, and more well-mannered EB players that the new players should try to emulate. Rufus/Pandora, I apologize for messing up your otherwise truly fantastic game. It has been a truly fun and funny game from the very start, and you've truly done a wonderful job as hosts. -
