[MOC] Arkham Asylum Expansion [Modular-style Add-on]
Grazingcattle replied to becauseBATMAN's topic in LEGO Licensed
This makes me so happy to see... I love me some good Batman mocs and what you have done makes this really pop and feel alive. Great job! I wish I could buy that as a set -
I asked a similar question in the GoH forum but what non brick link sites do you purchase bricks or pieces from? Would you suggest using them again?
-

Ya i like the robes and such, but I was referring primaryily to the clones with their battle armor and the giant republic gunship... I don't have much else I have been thinking of creating a Highland Clansman named Euan Macpherson after my great great great.... great grandfather http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clan_Macpherson Which guild would best represent that you think? Mitgardia?

Thanks for the feed back on Altbricks... I cant wait to get some more coin in to pick up some of their foliage! You may be right Str0ngbad, The chess set might not come with a wealth of bricks, but it does have a nice baseplate which is a consideration since I only have some small green ones and no 48*48. I have been reading the Mitgardia and Kaliphlin forum posts but I still can't make up my mind. I don't have many tan bricks which has me leaning towards Mitgardia, but I like the mid-eastern feel of Kaliphlin as for selling the Star Wars sets, I feel comfortable letting go of my 02 gunship and a few figures if I could get a nice array of figs and/or bricks. Right now I feel like I don't have many castle type figs and my favorite scenes are small to large conflicts. Thanks again for the continued support! I appreciate all the feed back and I look forward to declaring my loyalty soon!

Thanks for the great replies! Already I can tell that you are all a very supportive sub-forum and I really appreciate all the answers. To nightstalker- I love your work on multiple forums and you are very prolific. Thanks for the tips! I think I will be getting a few Forest Ambush sets when they hit my local store. To Ska for hire- I live in the US but the nearest lego store is over a hundred miles away. I was thinking of buying some (1 or 2) of the Chess set on lego.com to get some nice figures. What guild would they be best suited for you think? To Gedren_y I wouldn't say I am a purist, but I am a high quality ist... if that's a thing. Do you have experience with Altbricks.com? I was fortunate enough to get The castle and wall from helms deep (no minifigs or accessories) and I have some darK grey from the troll king LOTR set. I like all the guilds, but I would say I am drawn to Kaliphin and Mitgardia the most. Does anyone know a tutorial on picture taking with the Iphone or if there is any apps you should get that would help with editing?

Any thoughts would be great! * As it stands I only have the Camera that's on my Iphone 4.

(near purist) Swtor minifigs
Grazingcattle replied to IronFish's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
SWTOR? or this sub forum? The answer may be the same -
You should name the Prussian Defense Automaton Hugs and Kisses Prussian Defense Automaton = PDA = Public displays of affection in case you didn't get it

As for the speeder, I think its really solid and doesn't need any additional work. You might consider building a small speeder bike for your toon to ride

So I have been thinking of joining on and off since I started mocing... So many great moc builders that I feel like my small amount of legos would be out of place. I might join up after I do some more research. This is pretty much echoing what my feelings have been... but seeing such a devoted group is really great!

So I started playing marvel heros and got to the level with the mutant purifiers. I loved the idea of making some mechs for them out of lego but I was wondering if anyone had ever built any minifigs for them?

Review: 70008 - Gorzan’s Gorilla Striker
Grazingcattle replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I have waxed and waned between investing in a Chima product. With such a small budget I normally stick to Star wars unless something grabs my attention. The wolf minifigs have almost made me pull the trigger multiple times since they would make neat star wars characters These monkeys might have sold me... the good piece count, hammers, awesome gloves of doomth, BANANAS, and awesome mech just might sell me... just gotta scrape up the money lol Too many great lego products!- 42 replies

(near purist) Swtor minifigs
Grazingcattle replied to IronFish's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
These are all awesome! As someone who played alot of the game up until it announced it was going FTP, I have to say they are great cross overs -
Wow I love how well thought out the bottom of the speeder is! I look forward to future work if this the type of awesome stuff you will be making

[MOC] Warhammer 40000: Battle in the Ruins
Grazingcattle replied to Farseer Petriel's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
I love it! I always wanted to play 40K but my budget and lack of play partners left me out in the cold. I would love to try actually playing lego 40k lol. Great moc, I felt that the space marines and Imp gaurd were very close to the source material and you did a great job replicating the ruins -
I like alot of the things you did on the speeder. The shaping looks great and the details look good. Tough to see the mini figs, but I like the thought you put into them from what i can see

Wow... I saw this the other day and dismissed it as i headed out the door... So many colors... It must have been built by some kid. Fortunately for me I wanted to take another look and I am so glad I did. Nova hit the nail on the head. So much Awesomeness! Congrats on the awesome build! I look forward to seeing more of your work

I was thinking about making a Republic Gunship with Black in place over the White and something else (yellow maybe?) in place of the dark red. I was just wondering if anyone else has tried to take their lego set instructions and build with the intention of changing the main colors of the set?

I love this moc... it does such a great job at telling a story with out words. Not just any story but a engaging story that has me wanting to know more! I love it!
