Don't think so. I have a few boppin' around in my bin... not even sure where from. Probably Insectoids lol.

Yah, I know what you're sayin'. But what I'm saying is even though it's a "smaller" City model, the price would have to be REALLY low to not just spend a buck or two more to get the same parts in the Ambulance set, in sweet quantity, too. ::looks at Lego Shop@Home:; Yick! 5.99?!? Yeah, see, that's what I thought. 2 dollar difference, but almost double the parts. Item#: 7902 Ages: 5-12 Pieces: 66 Price: USD 5.99 Item#: 7890 Ages: 5-12 Pieces: 118 Price: USD 7.99

Meat Bus... my take on the 7890 Ambulance.

Lol, you know... the derogatory slang word for an ambulance is a "meat wagon". Though this is a lil' bigger than that. More hears-sized. :-D -
2006 Technic Sets?
JINZONINGEN73 replied to dunamis's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
With the exception of (eh... maybe?) the chain on the blue bike, I don't even see any good weird parts sources in these. Meh. Too many other good Lego sets to even bother looking their way. -
Meat Bus... my take on the 7890 Ambulance.

Yeah, but those ridged bricks throw it off greatly. I like that they're 2-sided to have a dual purpose, but 99% of the time the opposing ridges on the other side ruin the look. -
Well, I already dissected THAT and made this lol: http://eurobricks.hosting.ipsyn.com/eurofo...st=0#entry54786

V-LF-8C I added in 2 or 3 red bits from that 3-robot platoon creator team (4881) along with most of the parts from 2 sets of the #7890 Ambulance... Instead of a "meat wagon", this is more like "meat bus". ...looks like it's evolved more towards Ecto-1 from Ghostbusters, doesn't it? http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/JINZONIN.../meatbus002.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/JINZONIN.../meatbus003.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/JINZONIN.../meatbus005.jpg Gallery: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=152041 Yeah, not the most serious moc, but worthy of pics before cannibalizing it's parts for mecha.

They're all pretty awful, so I went with the blue one, as it is the most useful for mocs once it's parts are cannibalized.

What's left at amazon.com US
JINZONINGEN73 replied to Hinckley's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
This is a cool idea, they really do change from day to day. Stuff that was marked down to $3.50 one day goes up to $5.99 the next day and back up to $8.99 the next. It's very... "hectic" there. Is there a way to construct that page so it shows cheapest priced sets to highest? When they get deals, they get DEALS. But like I said, often quite temporarily. -
Case in point: Vladek. The first season had him with joints that were red, but half the rest of the joint connected to his limbs are black. Now that just looks wonky to me. Then you have: Vladek, season 2. Now where there was red there's black and where black, red. Is this on purpose or just a fluke? By combining these 2, you can make 1 guy that's not assymetrically wacky-lookin'. Am I the only one cynical enough to think this isn't accidental?
-
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!

Well, being Christmas, you're likely to see outlandish eBay bids performed by clueless girlfriends and parents. Yeah, a little poking on the net delivers cheaper prices, but people don't think first all the time. Then there's the added attraction of "fighting" to get a present for one you love.

The question I ask when seeing such weird vehicles is, "Are there cars like this in Europe where Lego HQ is?" I don't even have to look this time... of course there's not. It's ridiculous. lol There's not even an acceptably fun amount of 1x1 pieces in it. I hope the price point is no more than $5. MAX. If it's any more, one might as well just ask outside on the street for quarters until they have enough for the ambulance.
-
Just got the 2 I ordered off Amazon ($5.99 for a few days, but price is now $7.99) I did something WEIRD with this set. I actually built it. I never build ANY Lego sets... they're strictly parts sources for mecha and such. But I gotta' say, this is a sexy little ambulance. It could have only been better as a two-seater with an extra minifig. I proceeded just minutes after to mosh both duplicate sets together into a van-like monstrosity, but it still counts.

Oh god yes INDEED. ::orgasm::

Anyone know if it's possible to get...
JINZONINGEN73 replied to Starwars4J's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
What red ghost? Man... these are just too impossibly sweet. I am a BIG, STUPID SUCKER for all things Lego trans. The skeletal horse probably is a prototype as opposed to fan-made. I say this because the weapon is system injected two-tone... and Lego's been doing alot of parts that way in the Bionicle line. Man... I wonder what year it will be that I have an officially Lego-produced, all-neon trans green minifig in my hand? Or preferably, an all-neon trans green Technic figure. -
Lol... noone voted Bionicle. That should be different next year though... they're sweet. Had to go with Vikings. Love the new parts (finally! WINGS!). The sets themselves were primarily just pleasing to the eye. I like that it mildly treaded into the Harry Potter theme in some ways, but could be more free (and better looking) due to not being restrained by existing parameters of characters from a license. I'm talkin' dragons lol. Also nice is more of their budget could be aimed at quality sets instead of taking super-retarded shortcuts because they had to cough up licensing fees.

Okay, since I myself have been interested in getting hermit crabs, this topic made me get off my butt & get educated. http://www.hermit-crabs.com/links.html Looks like a good place to start as any. (Some links are down, but a few important ones remain).
-
Aw, poopy. Like George Carlin once said, "When you get a pet, you're not REALLY getting a pet, you're aquiring a future tragedy". Like Evil Willy said... no water & a dead crab in there with him? When shellfish (and some other creatures) die, they let off a powerfully dangerous toxin which can kill HUNDREDS of their brothers nearby. So, fast removal of dead crabs is a non-negotiable task you must satisfy. Before you rush out and get another one to replace him: 1. THOROUGHLY CLEAN THAT TANK, or get a new one. 2. Look up online hermit crab fan boards. Again like Evil Willy said, ALOT of pet store owners are just clueless scumbags out for a quick buck. They WANT you to replace pets. Go to true fans to see how they should really be cared for. 3. Find out what a normal, healthy lifespan for a captive hermit crab is.

I like not knowing. I mean, I'd like it that people still try to find out, but it's such a monumental task that it's not something worth fighting about. Scientifically, there have been a few bunny hops forward in sighting "where" it took place, what with the chronological expansion that can be seen with celestial bodies. Not being a scientist, I have to wonder if time flows at a different pace for one celestial body versus another. We've come this far with the time we've had in our concept of what this "time" is. But if there is another place out there whose time runs faster, It's more than likely that their technology could put ours to shame. You know... my brain just popped up another question. Are UFO sightings and or abduction stories consistent from year to year? Like, are the stories nearly-identical or have there been changes over the few short decades of serious reporting? If time does flow differently, it's likely that every few years the stories would evolve somehow. Assuming of course, that the alleged aliens who've studied us haven't stayed in this same chronological state we have & return home frequently. Hmm. Well that was abstract. :|

"Holy crow that's a fast-looking ship. A-he-hem! I propose we temporarily postpone this race... for personal reasons." Wha? PERSONAL REASONS?!? ... ...Ah. Until the police boat motors you ordered off Bricklink come in... set sail now, LOSERS.

Dude, if there was like, water... our ship would SO beat your viking megablocks! (grr... "megablocks" = "A" word for one's butt. Plural form.) :|
