http://toywiz.com/bioniclepiraka.html New playsets listed at Towiz. ^^^ No pics yet, but they have model #'s and prices. #8893 Piraka Lava Chamber Gate $39.99 #8892 Piraka Outpost $29.99 #8894 Piraka Stronghold $74.99 And then, out of number sequence and NOT having the word "Piraka" in front of it: #8764 Vezon and Fenrakk $74.99 Weird too that there are TWO 74.99 sets in the same wave...

It's cool they made new colored pod bodies, but they cheaped out on the green one, giving it a clear one. Shoulda' been like dark green or smoke clear.

NEW RCX BRICK
JINZONINGEN73 replied to languages's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Mmmmm... mocs I can remote control... sweeeeet. And having a comprehensive, easy-to-use interface on my computer sounds like programming will be more smooth. Also diggin' the different color of the unit. The yellow had to go. Wait... it still can be used with a regular PC, right? -
Just saw the Christmas Invasion episode... was apprehensive at first, what with the cheesiness of the spinning tree and silly Santas, but it got more than adequately better by the end. OMG... Sarah Jane Smith's in the next one. And K-9! X D That'd be freaky if they updated him to look Aibo and had him travel with the Doctor, though the preview doesn't indicate that.

Spyro had a somewhat known existence during the years it was released and it got some commercial airtime, but he's still not all that known. Strangely enough, my wife and I were in Walmart the other day, and while I was looking for Castlevania, she was looking for anything Spyro, which she found none. But the fact remains, it's pretty "kiddy". Perhaps even more so than your average Nintendo license. Also, there's invisible threads that connect McDonald's, Disney & Lego licenses together... so like everyone said, chances are it'd be a Nintendo license. And those are the answers. Lego hugs Disney who hugs Nintendo, And Spyro's just not enough of a household word. For fiscally reasonable reasons, Spyro has as much a chance at a Lego license than Croc. Topic closed. (Besides, Lego is a meanie when it comes to producing purple in any good Technic quantity). 8-|

*deet*deet*deet*deet*deet*deet*deet* Insectoids. Dead before it's prime. Not a very large assortment available, but it's time was long enough for all the the trans neon green to get me hooked on going into the Lego aisle.

Since when has Greg lied? And why would he want to lie in the first place? I can't see him being the lying kind of type, and he hasn't been, and probably never will! There've been other things in the past too. "Why?" Well think about it. He writes the stories, gets enthused for his hard work, then gets smacked down by his bosses for saying too much. Or perhaps is told to alter the truth regarding things that they want to be "suprises". He's not a god. Just a man.

They all look so..."bitey". I imagine being half awake, caught in a nightmare of having tons of those slowly walking towards me with their teeth chattering. ::shivers:: Not helped by the fact I sleep with no pants on & that they're nutcrackers. ::shivers x5::

I tried making posts on there 3 times. None of them were moderated up onto the boards. I even toned myself down to avoid any cynical slant that might (usually) be present. Know why? I think it was because they were SERIOUS posts about the sets. The moderators clearly don't want serious discussion there. Just "happy thoughts", substantive or otherwise. Incoherently off-topic spam is A-OK, as long as you sound happy, happy, happy! Who's the target audience for their "forums"? Kids, I think. ...Or people really high on weed.

I think I heard he's in 2006's storyline somewhere, but I doubt there'll be a new version until at least the 4th quarter, if ever. It looks like Lego's Bionicle division used alot of the bullets in their gun to give the late 2005 / 2006 lines a higher level of quality. And probably went over budget, too. :oD I'm hoping they don't return to Makuta though. He's been around too long, most of the time in a weak appearance. Hiding in a cave, getting stuck in a block of red amber, playing a GAME of Bionicle hockey instead of fighting... blech. Too many limp-wristed appearances. And the original set was childishly ugly in design and even more lazily executed in configuration. It'd be better to have a real dangerous / more creative / better looking enemy show up. Too many sissy experiences with Makuta kinda' killed his image.

Any idea where from? I too agree it sounds like a Legoland Pick-A-Brick exclusive.

I'm unable to look at the Sentai Headquarters and not think of Stargate SG-1. I mean... it's a big, freakin' Stargate. ...in orange. :oD That aside, i dig those parts.

Hey, anyone else notice that the ambulance on the front of the box has 2 "ghost studs" on top of it? They look like they were edited in later atop the large, white hood piece... I assume the early versions of that part were studless... or something? : /

I use jasc Animationshop 3. I don't bother using it's pic editing portion, strictly the gif aspect of it. To edit pics, I have normal old silly Windows Paint open in another window (or FIVE), and just copy & paste the pics over to the animator. It's fun enough learning the "language" of the animator... if you already know how to edit pics in Paint, no need to learn the language of the animator's pic editor.

No, it's an old gif, I didn't make it. And no people burning! It's against the law!

Lego's best castle is a DUPLO product!
JINZONINGEN73 replied to gylman's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Castles are castles and duplo is just bigass system. Moving to Castles. :-D -
That's supposed to be a bridge. It's not a car carrier truck... Ah. Forgive me, for I be a moron. (But it looked so much like G1 Ultra Magnus!) You get thay feeling too? lol It's not helped by the fact Exo-Force is a clear attempt at cross-marketing, what with all the Bionicle and Knights Kindom parts in them.

http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery....y.cgi?i=1535707 I'm sure purists don't dig'em, but I like the girder pieces on the back of the car carrier truck thing.

Since it was a giant, green, non-symmetrical block that merely had 4 pieces snap onto it, you must mean the "new" Lego. :oD

Agreed. They were most horribly executed. Those goofyass faces some of them had may as well have been sculpted after Dino from the Flintstones. Their bodies were pretty unuseful as well, utilizing the 3-piece mosasaurus body from Alpha Team. And the 1-piece pairs of legs you just snapped on. >__< To their credit, they gave one a source of dinosaur tails. Maybe those dinosaur arms too. ... ... ...and THAT'S ABOUT IT. There was no "building" taking place in any of them. I understand marketing to smaller kids & such, but passing these off as system sets instead of going all the way over to Duplo was just an exercise in embarrassment. (Didn't mind grabbing the canisters when they hit the $2 clearance mark though... )

Yeah, after waiting this long for new Mindstorms, that time BETTER have been spent improving the interface for non-geniuses like myself. Is it too much to ask to build a robotic Lego arm that grabs my toast and butters it in the morning without hiring a team of japanese scientists? Is it too much too ask!?! *sing*
