This sounds ok, just keep it all within the confines of this topic so as to not squish out topics more substantive to set discussion.

Not at all, it's true. If you only knew the things I know about the next 10 years.

When you have one person talking to another person, you can crack fart jokes, talk super-vulgar, discuss differing views on "serious" issues... Having a site you can add more people... and you can keep doing that for awhile, but inevitably, the ability to read and effectively communicate with each person individually will be spread too thin and SOMEONE'S going to be offended. As your site grows and more people are added, the freedom of what you can say slowly erodes, point by point. When it seems there's no "looseness" left, then staff has to ask themselves questions on what they must do with their site, for it is no longer the same site. Do they go all Nazi and be super-strict, going so far as to trample people with different ways of thinking, or do they just let the place be a fun, yet extremely volatile haven of chaos? But those AREN'T the only 2 options. The third option involves alot of work, so people tend to forget it's available to them. They thought getting a site and programming a forum was all they had to do... now they have to think. Option 3 seems to be what this site's currently doing. Asshat sees forum. Asshat spams forum. Admins isolate asshat and he screws up after a few chances, finally ending in talkin' nasty which gets him banned. No loss. There'll be other asshats, don't think there won't be. Asshats will appear in a more consistently frequent manner. It'll happen. The only 2 things that will change is the amount of staff being increased to remain handling people as individuals, and not just member #8,967,253. The other thing that can change, as was stated already, is how the members deal with the next asshat. -Ignore them as best you can. -No need to bring up posts following an asshat's post in regards to them breaking policy. The mods will see them, not to worry. -If someone does something particularly nasty and or time-sensitive, click "report this post". It'll be taken care of as soon as possible. Dang... I talk too much. :oD I've only been here since the end of October, but even our recent lil' brat attack seemed out of place from what I thought this site was. But I also noticed that all of your reactions were taken aback too... you guys don't seem used to brats yet. That's good though. It means the staff can get policies and the members can get attitudes in place before the inevitable increases in such things even begin. In short, not every under 13-er is an asshat... just enough are. Some will make you want to rip your hair out and make a voodoo doll of them, while others will be more invaluable than even some veteran members. Meh... I'm talkin' like armageddon is about to happen. This place will be kicking azz for years to come. (OMG, I pulled a censor bypass! Hahahaha! If I can still do that, then the site's not too anal yet! Do your worst!) :D

I'll never for the life of me understand how people can let religion drive them to such lengths of insane hatred and violence. This world is SO doomed. Then again, maybe it'll take near-complete destruction of the world to bring people out of their infantile beliefs.

It is, there's people who've done it. Yeah, the instruction book, the Lego reps and everybody connected to Lego says you can't, but that seems to be just a way to avoid liability with kids handling batteries, or maybe to keep the age limit lower, probably something along those lines. You have to CAREFULLY push the nibs holding it together with a small pin, while not scratching it up too bad. Voila!

LOL. ^^^ I'm taking bets that the canister on the left is the more accurate production version. The other, while similar to the tiny sets just looks too "mock-up".

Yyyyyessss.... We're seein' some good trans, glow in the dark, and electronic bricks this season. It's like Lego jumped into my brain and spat out every idea I was hoping they'd hit on... in one line! The only thing I don't see is UV blacklight emitting bricks and an all-trans toa. But still, 2006 is freakin' orgasmic. Love those large lime pieces in the outdoor racing set. The 1x1 lime slopes are going to be fun too. Oh Lego... you are awesome BASTARDS this year.

It looks strange, but the worm cracks me up. Looks like a cheese doodle on a fork, happy he's not being eaten. :D

I love electronics in Lego. I'd like to see a motorized, pnumatic Rock'em Sock'em robots type thing. And with controllers that look similar to modern videogame controllers, not the one or two button boring stuff. You know, so they could at least sway to the left or right to dodge. This would have served the 2001 Bionicle line well, as the intended play feature was popping off their masks after blows to the head. (The rahi KIND of tried to eecute this function, but meh.)

You're not going to convince me that you never heard of thraxisjr. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery....cgi?m=THRAXISjr

Hahaha... someone referenced me. :-D Yah, it's an old topic, but it's a good point.

I don't think you can demand credit for a review lay-out. There are tons of reviews and some of them may look alike, but that's no reason to give/ask for credit. Just my 2 cents... Yeah... it's a bit much. It's like McDonald's copyrighting putting a burger on a bun, then putting condiments on top followed by more bun. It's just logical.

Excellent review. PINNED! Are the new balls that go all the way through stationary, or do they slide on the axle? Like, is it a stiff fit or is the hole slightly wider so it can slide loosely across it? HUZZAH! The action features of the past few lines were really forced, which took the coolness factor of the figures straight into an inescapable nosedive. I'm glad they didn't mess this one up. ;)

Fan-created image from around 2001 by a BZPower (well, they were still BZCommunity) member. He's probably the most popular "fake" Toa, due to the photoshopping job and the never-ending demand for some more purple parts / characters in the Bionicle line. EDIT: Toa Tilius is totally right as to the source pic! Thank Hades they never made a mask like that... but they REALLY need to get some purple parts goin' again.

Wild guess... Iran will be our next new "evil" enemy when we get done with Iraq? http://www.energybulletin.net/12125.html

Question for you Bionicle fans in the UK...

Sorry, my momma done dropped me on muh head as a babeh. :D -
Then again, it's CLEAR Bin Laden's "working" anti-Bush sentiments by attempting to sound like a peaceful, caring man. Don't be a sucka'! Imagine how much credibility that false image would've aquired if the administration went "mmm... okay. Sorry we messed Irag up". Then there's the future problems created by sending a message out that engaging in terrorist activities equals eventually getting what you want.

He's on a board we go to. He's good people.

I guess hes talking about the guys kissing guys... Dark1 is a bloody homophobic. |-/ Everything related to... "that"... is gross at that age. ; ) She has some talent, but it's common talent. Many a girl on the internet can pop stuff out like this blindfolded. Cutty is a bloody yiffophobic. |-/ Well, depending on what percent of a furry / yiffer you are. I'm somewhere between 10 and 50. <__<

Do you remember if it had a horse? Even though I didn't buy Lego until 2001, my mom gave me a set from around the time period you're saying... I'm also very vague on it. It had those castle wall pieces with the window cut out of them... and I think they were black... it had 1 guy... the top platform was octagonal I think, with notches on the 2 sides to hold spears... it was also a tower, a very small one. EDIT: Ah... this one's close, if not it. http://www.brickset.com/search.aspx?Set=1888-1

I know back in the G.I.Joe toy days (Action Hero or something over there), that weapons found in the US sets were neutered, left out or replaced due to violence laws in the UK. Heck, Lego's Dino Attack here got turned into Dino 2010, with weapons again being omitted and or replaced with cages and junk. So like... are the Bionicle sets the same as they are here, what with all the new "launchers" (guns)? And what of the playsets with the spring-loaded projectiles? (Are all of these even available there yet)? : / (This question also applies to all the past Bionicle waves too).
