Hi Greg, first of all welcome to Eurobricks. Hereby the answer to your question; Town: GIF XML : Baseplate 8x16 GIF XML : Baseplate 8x32 In the new format allready Alex :) As you can see there is no XML, but the main reason for this is that I see no reason to create any. I only use XML for roads and tracks, to make sure they align properly. Maybe you can share some reasons why you need the xml. I can create it without any problems. --EDIT-- Updated the GIF's to the correct naming convention.

I saw this picture .... and went way back in my memory and figured out that I own this set. This 6653 set is in my opinion a much better set then the 6521 which does not look like a real vehicle to me. There are not to many sets that will get a spot in my layout, but this one definitly will. Very cool review BTW. While writing this, I looked at my boxes full of Lego and dived into it. Guess what, I found the whole car, assembled and in very nice condition

List is looking good. It is wise not to use any pictures, because it will make the index way to big. The under construction is very good, just to see what people are working on :) Maybe a small change for the list, I changed the order of the fields a bit, in this way I believe it looks a bit more organised; Town: GIF XML : 6362 Post office GIF XML : 6541 Intercoastal Seaport GIF XML : 6372 Town House GIF XML : 6378 Petrol Station GIF XML : 6382 Fire Station Train: GIF XML : 4539 Level Crossing GIF XML : 7835 Level Crossing GIF XML : 4532 Level Crossing "Under construction:" 6384 Police Station 4565 Freight and Crane Railway

In my early days I did not have any trains .... and because I have had a very long dark age, my first train set was the 7897 Passenger train.

6683 - Snack bar --EDIT-- created a picture with better quality

This is indeed a very nice building. Simple but very nicely build with some details around it. Would be even better to put is on a baseplate with some scenery, but hey, this contest is about buildings and trains, not sceneries. Nice job And good to see there are some contesters for the Cat 3 as well :)

Thanks for the reply. Reason to use this is that LDview shows the colors much better then ML cad does. I have other tools that I can use, so the screenshot idea is the one I allready use, but it does not give me the colors I want to see. You are right, reinstalling seems a bit drastic. Thanks for your offer btw
-
I have been told that LDview is a very good option, when I want to save images from my ML Cad models. However, when saving as a snapshot my LDview crashes. I am using Vista and have the latest version of LDview. I tried allready all saving options, starting as an admin and running under win XP Anybody got an idea ?

Cool, only 14 bricks high you say ?, wow. Snot techniques are nice, wondering how you did that btw. The red is not my color, but I like your entry.

New set 7997 - Train station --EDIT-- created a picture with better quality

I think it is to long ago that I have been in London ..... however, the picture you have posted look a lot like it is under the ground ..... I thought some of the trains use track above and under the ground ..... But I am a bit offtopic
-
Also welcome. Cool, I did not even know this existed And for the entry, I would say, a train is a train, so why not. I am wondering btw how the engineer can look to the front
-
It's been a while since I have used the tube in london, but this looks really cool. I do like the snot techniques you used. It is a really nice entry and something for me to remember to put on my wishlist to build :)

Same here Very realistic train, nicely build. Also the white container is a very nice one. Good job

I would be honoured, however it seems I cannot sent you any PM's So contact me when you have enabled pm in your account :)

I would go for the index with images linked to brickshelf. I would also put the info from the pdf in that index thread, and not as a pdf. Unless the brickster does not approve, I think that this forum is a good method to share gifs and to show each other the status. I am no supporter of using extra files like the pdf, because it makes it more complicated then necessary.

True, but I guess it is just a personal opinion

Yeah, saw those pictures. I was just wondering of there are more detailed pictures of the passenger and cargo wagon. What I mean with my question is the following. In the box you show the train in a built state. Does it mean that when the gift was presented, it came broken down and the people who got it had to build it from the instructions ? Then it is clear :)

I guess everybody starts easy with a small oval track. I quickly started with some ideas to go up in the air because I wanted to build my train shed on a mountain. Next up was to make a bridge to the other side of the room where I had a 50cm deep layout (3meters wide) to have the train drive around it and make a quick turn at the end. Considering the room available this was the maximum layout I could have. As a real track fan my goal was to have a very large track where I could have severals trains running without having them to hit each other. At the moment (with everything in boxes) I am just thinking about digital track designs (a bit more here). Also there everything starts with the available room and the wishlist you have yourself. (and my wishlist is a bit long) So my advise would be to start designing digital, and see what you can achieve with the space you have available.

Nice It wonders me a bit what kind of instructions are included, because it seems it is completely pre build. Wehere I am not seem to like the loco enough (maybe bacuse of the used colors and style of it) I do like the big passenger wagon and also the cargo wagon. Do you ahve any more pics of it that you can share, your flickr didn't reveal the details that I was looking for. I wish I would have been one of those trainheads
-
Interesting idea. This would be the way I can include the emerald in my collection The real one does not fit in my "modern" collection. Very nice how you just use a basic wagon and added it on there.
-
very very very nice entry and MOC. I do adore the small LOC carrying those wagons. Most interesting is the one with the barrels. Never seen those before. This entry does mean ofcourse you have to extend your track in your town, because I have the feeling if you put all of your trains on it, there will be no more empty track.
