  1. Ok, I made a new version at home. Strange thing was that I had to make my original gif 8 pixels wider (1 stud). This is probably because of the connecting pieces of 0,5 stud at both ends of the track. I have to say it works perfectly now. I have updated the picture above.
  2. I guess this still means the Lug can send in one order, which is generated from a complete wishlist from their members, and then the members will use it for their private collection. I have not the feeling that this program is obligated to use it for a lug layout, it can be used for private layouts as well.
  3. Well, as promised, I tried to make the double cross over for Bluebrick. Hereby my first design. (updated) It works allready. I attached an xml file that should be included if you want to use the connection points. For some reason the connection does not fit very properly yet. I will figure out first if the number of studs is correct, however I need to be at home for that so I will reply to that later. --EDIT-- Updated the GIF and XML according to the naming convention XML
  4. Well, I have to say I can't wait to see something like this working. Good luck, and we will wait for your result

    City 2010

I really hope you are right about this. I will go into wintersleep now and wait for the next summer, I am already nervous about the new trains

    MOC: goat rebel

Cool attempt I have to say that I did not see they were goats ... but if I take one step back .. Anyhow, very nice and complete scene. :)
  7. Well No guarantees, but I read some documentation in the Netherlands that stated that the problem was fixed and therefore the remote is back for sale again. Lego ahs very strong regulations for safety, so if it is not safe, the will not bring it into the market again. I would say, go ahead and buy one.
  8. Good idea, what about posting your custom part/gifs here as well ? I am currently working on the double cross over track for the RC track. I will post it here when ready.
  9. very very nice build of this ICE btw, I also like the flowers at the end of the track, is that frankfurt station ? I guess when you can build something like this, then building a new train for this contest is no problem for you
  10. There is pf light available in the set. However, it is still guessing where the light will be. The only place where room would be available is in the bottom of the tree, or somewhere in the house ...
  11. Well, as mentioned before I have recently moved to a new home. I have the addict of the garage planned for my lego room. However I still have to isolate it and make it ready to be a real hobby room. I did work a bit on a layout, to see how much space I have got, here my bluebrick picture the brown parts are tables, in the inside is some room for more tables, but I am not sure if I need/want them I still have to figure out a layout, with lots of track ofcourse. These are at least some of the things that are planned; - industrial part - farm - train station - mountain (with rail tunnel) - city - train shed +large yard (to store my mocs) - airport - small docs (maybe at the industrial part any ideas for the track plan are welcome. I will post some updates when I have some time :)
  12. Very nice. I like the crowded and busy scene. If you close your eyes you can see they are busy interesting contribution to the contest btw, never thought of it myself
  13. I have motorised it myself, but I am not yet done with searching for the right gears. However, I am in contact with a fellow AFOL who dit it allready, and I asked him to put some pictures on his brickshelf account. When i have an answer, I will place it here.
  14. Really nice rebuild of the original. The new details give it just that bit more then it already had. The story makes it all compleet Now we have to wait and find out what is happening on that roof
  15. Great MOC, very recognising. I really like how you added the steps at the back (the one where the garbagecollectors are standing on) And I do agree with ralph, one plate higher would give it a bit more robust look, now it has a lowrider style :) Just give it a try, if you don't like it, don't do it
  16. Ah, never knew this existed :-/ I was misled by the orange piece , which is also on the sound brick. The dolphin helicopter is really nice. I really think the orange suits its better, so good choice.
  17. Well, I do and do not agree. I do own the passenger train, and as said in its build state the base is preventing you to use powerfunctions. So in my opinion there are 2 options; 1. is to use a different flat base, but I do not think this is what you want. I only mentioned the rc system because at the moment it is the only system really available in the shops (in europe at least). You can reuse the tracks for pf trains, and also the carts of the passenger train. 2. What I would do is leave the rc train as is, and either build your own pf trains after this, or buy the new pf line of trains that will be coming in the future What I ment with my advice is that the passenger train is a good set to start with, it is complete and easy to extend.
  18. Very nice rebuilt of the original. I do like the blue one most, but maybe that is a more personal thing. Very nice what you did in detailing the loc. I do mis however the doors on the blue one, or are they on the other side of the loc?
  19. Very nice helicopter. The scale and used colours make it look really real. I also like the way you added the sliding door. Btw, do I see the sound brick inside your heli ? (That orange part at the left ont he inside of the sliding door) Where is that used for ? To go in circles like the carousel and then play a sound ?
  20. Really a great performance Your whole post gives a good overview of all the techniques and also tools you used to create this huge lego creation looking at all the bags with lego made me dizzy, luckily the end result did not. applause
  21. Good question. Nice MOC BTW I think it would be sufficient to use one motor. For example, lego uses only 1 motor to motorise the emerald express. Have a look in the building instructions, al most at the end where this is shown
  22. He that looks great You really used up all the (limited) space you had in a very good way.
  23. Cool and indeed ... colourfull bridge I did use the same idea to make a crossing, not that long, but I had to implement 2 tracks wide I guess you need a good solution that gives you easy access to the inside area ... that will be an interesting challenge
  24. 9V is out of the shops at the moment the current line isRemote Controlled, but Lego wil shift to using power functions for their complete train collection If you want to start with train, start either with the motorised emerald express, or start with a simple set like the 7897. This is the remote controlled passenger train set. It will give you all the basic needs for trains and also some track. The track will be reusable with power functions trains, the train can ofcourse also be used. The new PF trains from lego are still to be revealed, so you are a bit early for them.
  25. Wow impressive. I am really interested to see the bridge you have planned to cross the tables on the left side.
