  1. Good idea But a bit difficult because I had to search old photo's .... and it seemed that I cannot find the one with the real action. However, I did find this one, where the cargo train is testing the upgoing track. If you look wel, then you can see that the train shed is waiting for the track to finish and drop the car on the cargo wagon
  2. I don;t like this camper at all, but at least your mods makes some improvements that are absolutely positive. Good job
  3. it scares me, this is the kind of neighbourhood so should be carefull in. I am waiting for the mob car to come around the corner. Very cool idea that warehouse, I do like the big cocacola sign on top, I am not to sure about the octan sign above the garage door (which itself is great btw) The small italian restaurant finishes the whole thing. Absolutely great and also grats with being blogged and your moc expert tag
  4. Simple, but nice addition. I must say that your setting makes it complete. I do like btw how you extended that crane. Do I see it correct that it also moves from left to right ?
  5. Ah, I see we can talk a different language when necessary. Never guessed that looking at you nickname So if I can help in any way, just let me know. But I guess we are all allready helping by adding gifs with new sets and other parts
  6. impressive looking at the outside, I would have never imagined that you could put all those details inside the building it is just magic. The design is well thought of. This would look great in every city.
  7. This is a nice setting, I think it really shows that is very good to do to mix the different styles together. I think it is just like in every city where new, old and classic is mixed. The modular buidling can stand alone, or next to eachother, and even next to your own build MOC of a modern house or office building. I a good developed layout there are several opportunities, it is just up to your imagination ...
  8. Good start, I am kind of wondering what kind of office block it will be. But it has great potential. I like the idea of the carpark, I would say add it to the back Some stairs are also nice, and please give that guy a chair But it gives me some great ideas for all kind of offices that I can put into this one
  9. Very nice, that change of the windshield did it. It is really good to see what you can do with this base btw, your last pics are a bit blurry, or is it my eye vision
  10. OK, had a chance to quickly browse through it and it looks ok The helpfile is not to long, and explains all necessary basic functions. For myself I was ofcourse very interested in the paragraph "Extending the Part Library", but I can understand this takes some time. However, i think I am quite capable of making images that can be used, but the xml for the curved parts is worrying me still. For the moment however I can do everything I want with it Good job. ps. and now back to creating images of sets :)
  11. Ok, hereby also the alternative version. --EDIT-- Updated picture with better quality
  12. Well, same here. Still working on some more sets, which I'll post here when ready. happy to think along with new bluebrick developments.
  13. True
  14. If you would have stated "Before you start, no, it's not a miniscale toaster or anything. It's a sheep!", then I would have believed you. Would you mind if I reuse your idea to put some sheep at the farm in my layout ? And if you want, you can refer to them as toasters But serious, it is a nice creation, maybe it would help if you change the grill on top to also a black color.
  15. I guess this is a common known fact. There are multiple points where you can buy 9v track, but I think you are missing the point here. This is not about selling points of new and used track, but about the production of it. With lego stopping the production of 9V, there will be no new additions, and also the volume of available track and other 9V stuff will stay the same. (or even decrease, because material breaks down now and then)
  16. Minifig scale is normally sized looking at the minifig . Minifigscale is around 1:40. A guideline for a building is 7 bricks per floor. A common scale would be 3 studs = 1 meter, which is a bit more then your assumption of 1 stud is 300mm. There is a lego scale converter site, but I have not used it myself.
  17. Same for me, I own the cargo and passenger train, however I do not have the hobby, but the holiday train. I also have a lot of custom built material, but also in boxes due to a change of houses. I also motorised the holiday train with RC using 2 motors. This one runs aorund our tree every year
  18. Well, I finally managed it I guess, hereby a gif for the 10027 Train shed (in the long version, not with the sheds next to eachother --EDIT-- created a new version with better quality
  19. hahaha, really cool, it reminded me of the guy who did this against the building I worked in, the only thing he forgot is that the building is made from dark smoked glass, which only allows you to look from the inside to the outside, but not the other way around. So we saw everything But wow, that face, like he couldn't find a stopping place for miles
  20. Not sure why you need to modify, it seems there is enough space between the top 2 tracks to insert 2 switches ....
  21. Very nice additions, I do like the extra module. I hope it makes the market a bit more stable with that module then the original. I also like what you did with the top apartment. However, I do miss the stair looking top of the building. Coming form Holland, that building style is very similar to a lot of houses in Amsterdam, so I would never change that
  22. To make something realistic, I use MLCAD for a top overview, and then a photoshop program called the gimps for making it the right size That would be great, because I am still working on a curved flex part, and I have troubles there to figure out how to add the right connection points, and make sure that the connectionpoints also work when you rotate the part I think it would be very helpfull if everybody puts his images in this topic, this would make a great resource.
  23. Yes to the question if it fits next to the other buildings. But I wouldn't worry if you can't get your hands on it. There are enough examples for you to build your own version. I do have it btw, and find it even better then the cafe corner. I like the way you can play with the modules, turn the top one the other way around. All the small details would rate it for me between the cafe corner and the green grocer, where I think the green grocer is the best of these three. I wouldn't add the fire building btw. I am working towards a modern town, I do not think the fire building fits in that, maybe only to build in some appartments but well ....
  24. This is definitely a very nice creation. It is nice to see this color variation. I really do like the way you handled the windows. Are the delivering post bags in this warehouse btw
  25. Well, that sounds like a good plan, if you working with multiple levels, you can use the multiple layers in bluebrick to show this. I have my upper level in a different layer, and therefor I can make it visible/invisble if I want to make screenshots or work on the layout. At the moment your layout is puzzling me a bit, because it is hard to see the connection points and to see where your layout goes up en down. but it looks like a good start
