Yeah, I've been very disappointed with the lack of X-Men related sets (only the Wolverine Chopper Showdown) as yet. Would love to see some larger sets (X-Mansion, Blackbird, Danger Room) and some overdue minifigs (Cyclops, Prof. X, Colossus, Storm, Rogue, Nightcrawler and of course some baddies, Juggernaut, Sabretooth, Dark Phoenix, Apocalypse..)

In anticipation of the upcoming Wolverine film, here is Silver Samurai. The idea for this build came from a fellow Flickr user. I added a number of customizations, but nevertheless, here you go: Here is a recreation of a screenshot from the upcoming film (not 100% sure this scene will be in the final cut): For those who aren't familiar with Silver Samurai: http://marvel.com/universe/Silver_Samurai

Help ID-ing parts for these "Purist" Silver Samurai and Mandarin Hello all, found these two rather awesome MOC / Purist minifigs on Flickr (asked the OP, but no reply, unfortunately): Silver Samurai Mandarin http://imgur.com/a/Bg59Z I was hoping that you folks could help ID-ing these parts, for instance: * Mandarin's head, I'm pretty sure is Tony Stark? Any help would be great!

Amazing work! Love it! -
Thanks, as I mentioned before, I can't take full credit for much of the original design, but I certainly have added my own elements! Thanks! You can do a basic build with 1 fire mech set, but I've definitely found that having 2 sets is nice as it gives you the extra red curved pieces.

We can only hope... I'd be all over that. In fact I hope they eventually do Mk 1-5 at some point.... Thanks! Ha! It's actually from the Arctic Batman set (can't take credit for that idea, but it works great for Cap as well!)

Sometime is now. Hands added. :) Rather than start a brand new thread, figure I'd just update this one. Changelog: HULKBUSTER MK II Added Hands (from the Hero Factory Ultrabuild hands) Updated Arm section (including adding side Missiles) Incorporated more "brick yellow" pieces: Felt that they just complement the "bright red" pieces nicely, and They adds nice depth mirroring the "gold + red" element of the Iron Man suits.

Hi, apologies I wasn't aware that there was a separate forum for minifig creations, I totally understand if a mod wants to move this thread there. I'll remember that going forward. Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks!

Here's an updated version of my MOC Iron Man MK I, guess I'll call him Variant 2. "Changelog": Changed helmet to Mandalorian (reason: same darker grey shade to match rest of body, covers back of the head also) Removed helmet decals, Added eyeholes (this time switched to black stickers, which are non-LEGO as I did not have any vs. the older black tape, which was much thicker)

Outstanding!

Similar to post in the "Future Superhero Set Ideas" (minus Sets): Minifigs: Iron Man (Mark I, II, III, IV, V) X-Men (Cyclops, updated Marvel Girl/Phoenix, Storm, Prof. X, Rogue, Colossus, Nightcrawler, Angel, Beast) Fantastic Four Silver Surfer Daredevil / Elektra Dr. Strange Vision / Scarlet Witch / Quicksilver Punisher Villians Galactus Green Goblin / Hobgoblin Red Skull Thanos Apacolypse Bullseye Dark Phoenix Juggernaut Kingpin Silver Samurai (yeah, I'm a Marvel guy :)

To be honest, it is actually more than a tight fit. I had to kind of "squeeze" the helmet into shape, after a few firm but gentle pinches, it fits decently now. My next small project will be to sand down the inside of the shoulders around where the base of the helmet contacts to give it an even snugger fit.

Hall of Armor II Welcoming the new addition Avengers Assemble II The gang's all here!

Oops. Sorry about that. Will refrain from this going forward.

Fantastic! Thanks for posting the detailed pics!

Wow, that looks great! I love how those hands have mulit-purpose when it unfolds. Could you upload some more details of those hands? Awesome stuff, keep 'em coming folks! When I get my new "hands", I can't wait to incorporate them and I will be uploading v.2!

Awesome! Please do post your build, would be curious to see how other's approach it. Happy building!

Here are some more pics as promised (note: updated the build very slightly to add in more "gold" -- technically, "brick yellow".

Thanks for your comments. Yes, I am absolutely going to be incorporating proper "hands" (likely the hands from set 4529 - Iron Man Ultrabuild). This updated version will likely be Hulkbuster II. Thank you! Thanks, in fact, I just updated the build to incorporate a little more "gold"! Will post some more detailed pics a little later :)

Hi folks! Great forum / community, I'm a "newbie", but wanted to share a build that my son and I put together: Iron Man's Hulkbuster I. The original idea and credit belongs to an acquaintance of mine from another site (though I am wary of not encroaching on any of this website's rules, so I will refrain from any more detail -- but please do feel free to PM me and I can properly reference it). The basis for 85-90% of this build is from Kai's Fire Mech (70500) http://shop.lego.com...Fire-Mech-70500 -- for instance the body (which holds the Iron Man minifig) substantially the legs and arms (with some re-purposing of various pieces).
