  1. Another idea these Bomb Squad Troopers have given me…
  2. Here's a bit of a question I had with the accessory selection in the BP…
  3. I beg to differ. Palpy wins the "ugliest CW face" contest every time.
  4. Rufus, that crazy grin reminds me a lot of Robot Chicken. That's the kind of crazy expression that they often use. Anyhow, very nice tri-pane comic. Sometimes you need more than one to make a good joke, and yours is certainly a good example. Nothing wrong with being a bit more than one pane.
  5. Alrighty, since the first of my little Horn Company series seemed to have not gone over so well, I'll just post numbers two and three at the same time, since I realize that the second one isn't all that great anyway. It kind of has that "second-in-a-trilogy syndrome," in which not much happens and it ends up not being so great. You know what I'm talking about? It's like Pirates 2, which ends up just being kind of dull; The Two Towers, in which Frodo and Sam start the film seeing Mordor from afar and end the film seeing Mordor from afar; Matrix Reloaded, which just doesn't make much sense and is useless; Attack of the Clone… Anyway, here we go.
  6. Hey, that's ok. Sometimes I feel like making things a little less obvious; makes people think a little more. Maybe these three are a little too subtle if nobody catches on at all, but we'll see. I hope the third one will be a laugh even if you don't make the "Horn" connection.
  7. Then you won't understand the next two either, so I better explain. To keep it still a little bit discreet, let me remind you that that particular Clone Trooper is from Horn Company.
  8. Great ones Rufus! Your Pshopping is seamless. Getting the new Clone Battlepack has really given me a lot of ideas. In fact, I've even made two three-part series, though of course each one is also supposed to be funny on it's own. So without further ado, Series 1 part 1 of 3:
  9. Yes, that's likely why he said what he did about getting them, as Neville kills Nagini in the book as well.
  10. This is one of the several Ninja sets that I got at the time. It was a great way to get some of the figures. It's sad that LEGO stopped making figure packs just like this, with just the figures and accessories and nothing else. There used to be ones for Castle and Pirates and Space and almost every theme, but then it all stopped. At least LEGO still makes some $10 range sets with a bunch of figures, even if it includes a model as well. The new Ninjago outfit does look pretty nice, though.
  11. You can't convert prices from different currencies to figure out LEGO prices. It doesn't work like that. Singapore prices are extremely expensive compared to the U.S. and even Europe, whose prices are more expensive compared to the US to begin with. Those converted prices are completely incorrect.
  12. Exactly. Also judging by the fact that the circle for the exclusive fig is just a "teaser," I bet the finished cover will be a bit different (and show the actual fig).
  13. Guys, why are you looking at a small image for reference instead of a big one that I think has even been posted here before. Chewie looks exactly the same to me, Palpy doesn't look different, and there have been BDs with two straight arms before. They came in the Droid Gunship.
  14. Nice work Masked Builder! Really clean and clear shot. The only suggestion I have is to not put the type over the picture, it just doesn't look very good in my opinion. I want to see the entirety of that nice shot without it being obscured! Perhaps if you'd made a thought bubble for it it might have looked better, but keep up the great work!
  15. I'd certainly like to see a Clone Wars Padme come with the book. LEGO has never taken the opportunity to make her so far, and I can't really see a situation where she would fit into a set all that well. On the other hand, we don't know what the future of the CW series will bring, so a good situation may arise. In that case, perhaps they may make a CW C-3PO. I can't see why they would ever put him in a set, s he may be a good candidate, although then again he's not that big of a character (but I'd like to see a CW design for him). Only time will tell I suppose.
  16. Ha, I didn't notice where Yoda was staring the first time I looked at that shot. Maybe "size matters not" is referring to something else going through Yoda's head by where his gaze is directed, eh?
  17. Great crisp shot Skafte! I'm not sure you have to use much imagination to see Ahsoka as a whiny teenage girl; that's basically how she is most of the time in the show anyway. I can't wait to pick up these new Jedi myself!
  18. I believe that they should be. If you look at the packaging carefully, it lists the distribution locations for Canada, the U.S. and Mexico, which says to me that those same boxes are put out in those three countries, so you should be good.
  19. Yes, it does a little, but overall he still has a pretty subdued look. The original Luke had such a slight up-curving mouth that you could barely tell as well. I considered making the caption "Why are we the only ones who look remotely happy," but then decided to go this way instead. Anakin is the only one that is truly happy-looking (Palpatine is too, but he's not a Jedi anyway).
  20. No new characters, that's true, but there will undoubtedly be a newly designed Leia with pupils, and it is rumored that Luke will finally have more accurate hair. Perhaps LEGO will also redesign Han's classic vest, since the old one is extremely under detailed. So, all-in-all, the Falcon will include some long-needed updates of the same characters.
  21. Something I really like about most Clone Wars figures: they look serious. I can't stand that zany smile on the new Luke; it's just wrong. For some reason, though, LEGO obviously feels that main characters should mostly be happy…
  22. He is a little bit, which is pretty strange considering that he's pretty new and I've made sure to not touch his head very much. In real life it's hard to tell besides for that weird bit by his eye, but in a clear, larger-than-life picture lots of little things become apparent.
  23. Hooray! More contributions! I'm liking yours very much Brickdoctor; you can't go wrong with crispy clear pictures, and you have very nice layout in general. Skafte, you've got good picture-taking skills as well, though I don't really like the red color or the serif font that you've chosen to use. Same goes to Legonator as well; I'd center the font and put it over white instead of pasted right onto the pic itself. And now, from me…
  24. Well, that's hard to tell. I'm not exactly sure why I stopped so quickly the first time around, but this time I hope to keep on posting new content on a regular basis for as long as I can. I may have to cut back to every other day or something like that sometimes, though. I of course don't make them daily; this last time I made a batch of eight, so it's easy to keep posting new ones daily. If I keep following this model of making a large batch whenever I do find the time, I think I should be able to keep it going semi-indefinitely, for now. You never know what the future will bring, though, and I also expect to start running out of ideas eventually. And now for something a bit different, suggested by a fellow Fellow:
  25. As I've said, I actually like all of the Clone Wars style faces myself, but I know that many people find them quite creepy and strange. You must admit that the eyes especially are very different from "regular" minifigures. Another subtle part of that comic is that LEGO Bib Fortuna's face is actually extremely ugly itself, so his finding her face creepy is quite ironic. In any case, here's a new one that actually doesn't make fun of Clone Wars faces:
