  1. What the heck? I locked your other one for a reason. All Clone Wars TV discussion goes in the pinned Clone Wars season 3 thread. Please don't spam it up, Eurobricks fan.
  2. The Hagrid's Hut does come with the new square hilts, and I expect that the upcoming NinjaGo line will as well. At least it seems so from all of the pictures so far. The collectible minifigure line comes out of a factory completely separate from all normal-line sets. The collectible line has already used the octagonal hilt for the Series 1 Ninja, so I suspect that they just used the same mould in a different color for the Samurai, instead of making a new mould in that seperate factory to match the square hilt that is now being used in regular sets. I don't think that the octagonal hilt will be used any more at this point in regular sets; you'll only see it in the collectible figs.
  3. You're right, it is not allowed. Please do not use Eurobricks to promote yourself, especially if it isn't even LEGO related. In the future, if you're in doubt, PM a staff member first.
  4. No, he is cut completely in half, but after all, Grevious "exists" and he's got nothing but a few organs. There's plenty of other SW material as well where there are characters who have barely any of their body and are still alive. So, it really wouldn't be so surprising if Maul is "resurrected" here and there.
  5. That's LEGO's torso print, I believe. As always, I love your work tin7. That head looks great on Mundungus as is, though I never would've thought to use it as such myself. I especially love your coat decals that continue on to the legs; that's the sort of "printing" that certainly fits in with LEGO's own figures, but something that LEGO does not do enough of itself.
  6. Hold on, TV Guide actually wrote that Darth Sidius issues a fatwa on Asajj? That is very strange, and very wrong…
  7. I suppose that's true, but I don't think the Clones are there just in case of a Separatist attack. Maybe they are, but we did see Fox running around and actually doing things in the Clone Wars film, so I would think with all of Cad Bane's mischief and other things going on they might stick some Clone Troopers on that. But you never know. This point really doesn't me bother me so much though; I like seeing Fox no matter what he's doing. There are far more annoying things in this show to spend time caring about.
  8. After watching that most recent episode, all I can say is… Padme's hairdo's are fake? What the heck? I always though she actually had her hair done up in crazy styles, not that she put on some weird hair-looking hat. How strange. Also, going back in the timeline for these senate episodes makes no sense. What's the point of having Farr again, especially with his aide who we know kills him. That just seems like a stupid idea to me. I liked seeing Commander Fox again two episodes back, even though he was just looking at I.D. cards and directing maintenance crews. Is that really what the Commander of the Coruscant Clone troopers does all day?
  9. I believe Big Cam meant to refer to a different member, lightningtiger, who often includes "keep on brickin'" in his posts, or at least used to.
  10. Wrong, staff decided to have all Pirates of the Caribbean discussion in the Pirates forum because of the massive pirate fanbase over in that section. Checking the entire boards for news is a good habit, instead of restricting yourself to just the few places that interest you the most.
  11. At this point, it seems that the training set with dummy skeletons was a preliminary idea which got scrapped. Shame, since that set looked pretty cool, but the small sets and the one with the Ninja master still don't seem half bad.
  12. Ok, I'd like to unsee Ultraviolet, or at least get my time back. I really like B or C grade sci-fi/futuristic movies, and I watch a lot of them, but Ultraviolet's poor quality was truly depressing. I fell asleep, and I neither cared to back it up nor finish it after I'd awoken. It does not happen often that I wish to not see the rest of a movie that I'm watching; I sat all the way through Battlefield Earth and was intrigued to see it through to the end. Sometimes, bad can be good. With Ultraviolet, bad was just awful.
  13. And… closed. The Clone Wars is discussed in the pinned Clone Wars thread.
  14. Are you kidding me? You, who seem so enthusiastic about Harry Potter with all of the millions of set ideas you've posted, and you'd rather they didn't make any awesome new sets at all if they were only going to make seven total? Oh sure, I'd rather not get beautiful new redesigned figures and some wonderful new playsets like the Burrow if LEGO is going to only tease me with seven sets. Please, LEGO, if you're planning on making some wonderful sets for a theme that will be very short-lived (like PoP), just don't bother. I'd much rather have nothing at all than a one wave-theme, thank you very much.
  15. All I have to say is: Yeah, it's pretty weird, but in a way I think the yellow doesn't look too bad. A different color, like orange or purple or light blue, would've easily worked as well, though, and been a bit less strange. Maybe if this theme makes another year then the colors will change again. How cool would some trans purple helmets be?
  16. Well, I for one am glad that the magnet sets are now glued, and I hope it spreads to licensed themes as well. Buying certain figs on Bricklink that came in both Magnet and regular sets always made me uneasy because they don't differentiate between them. Sure, asking sellers as to the source of the figure usually works, but it still kept me worried until I actually saw the fig myself. This way, there's no chance of inferior figs poisoning the pool. I think that mummy is a weird mix up between the Pharoah and the mummy cronies, similar to how Dr. Jones had a Dark Tan hat instead of dark bley in an Indy Magnet set. Just another reason why these magnet sets are sub-par anyway.
  17. I think it's quite clear at this point that this thread is going to be used to discuss the film, so you all don't need to put everything in spoilers. If you really want to, knock yourselves out… but I don't think it's necessary. I also found the film very good, though it's still sinking in. I am going to see it for a second time shortly so that I can truly let it wash over me. This was the first time that the filmmakers really left nearly everything in the book in the film, which was quite good. I really didn't mind and actually appreciated some of the changes to characters' parts that Kloves had written in the past, such as giving Dobby's part in GoF to Neville, but I also certainly enjoyed the inclusion of so many minor characters in this one, from Mundungus to Thickness to Yaxley, etc. Heck, they even left in Gregorovitch and Grindelwald! The commissions that Kloves did make were totally fine as well, such as quickly skipping to the Ministry infiltration, not including Potterwatch, and some others. There are simply too many long, drawn out periods in the book to include in a good film. As I've thought for some time about these films, the characterizations different from the books are truly brilliant. All that angst between Lupin and Tonks is acceptable, but I rather like their happier demeanor in the films. The trio is also changed for the better. By this film, their characters are rather similar to the books, but the way that they were changed for HBP so that Hermione and Harry can commiserate about their crushes is a brilliant divergence from Harry's shyness about it in the book. You can easily believe where they are emotionally in this film, whereas in the books it was a bit of a leap. I also loved the added humorous touches in certain sequences that are not in the book at all. I never imagined that Harry would seem silly as Runcorn, but the entire Ministry sequence in the film was hilarious while still having extremely dark overtones. That's quite a mix of things that it is not often done in a lot of mainstream films, but Yates and everyone else pulled it off very well. I can't wait to see this film at least one more time in the theater, and then to see part two next July!
  18. If by exclusives you mean special editions exclusive to a single retailer, then yes, they normally show up at the same time. But remember that such things often only pertain to certain parts of the world, so this should really go in Availability.
  19. This is wonderful news! I'm very happy to hear officially that there will be sets from all of the films, since that means we'll definitely get Davy Jones! I can't wait to see some pics from this line. Eight sets sounds like a lot for a single release, but I have no doubt that they'll sell well. Though I'm not so into boats myself, I'm sure there will be some lovely smaller playsets. The only downside is that that means that the source who said there would only be Pirates 4 sets was wrong, and he also said there would be more Harry Potter sets… but that's for a different forum section. And Zeya, you're forgetting Speed Racer, which would go at the very bottom. (and there's Galidor too, but that's beneath mentioning)
  20. Um, sorry to spoil the fun conversation guys, but what does all this talk about Rebel Pilots have to do with 2011? A discussion about named characters in Battle Packs? Yeah, it happened, back in 2010. And so they don't feel like naming ARFs or specified Commanders, what's the problem? Kind of makes sense, since Senesca's helmet was very specific, while two or three or four stripes on an ARF look bloody similar, and all of the Clones have little markings, so even if this one is exactly some named character from Horn Company, who really knows? There aren't any OT sets yet anyway, so Rebels don't really come in. Whoops, shouldn't have brought up that again now that the "no OT" complaining seems to have finally died down…
  21. The closest proper English phrase to 'The best is not too good' that is a little clearer would be 'The best cannot be too good' or 'The best is never too good.' Of course, those wordings could still be taken to mean that even the best wouldn't be very good, but they are likelier to be understood as the actual meaning than 'The best is not too good.' The second one of my options is probably the best, and if it was being spoken in English than the meaning could be made very clear by emphasizing the 'too.' Even written, the meaning should still be fairly clear. Hope that helps!
  22. Elizabeth is not in the new film, but there's nothing to say that there won't be sets from the first three besides for that earlier source. As there's no confirmation on anything besides that there will be Pirates sets, we'll just have to wait and see once some pictures turn up. If you say you saw her, I believe you. I was just going off of what that earlier source had said, although there was nothing to say that he was reliable.
  23. I am sure it will be an April release like Indiana Jones and KotCS or Toy Story 3 as the film is slated to be released in May. Pics for Spring releases don't always pop up so early, but I'm sure some will show up by the time NY Toy Fair rolls around in February. Also, an earlier source said that there would be no sets based on the first three films, so I find it unlikely that you actually saw Elizabeth Swan. Perhaps it was Blackbeard's Daughter.
  24. Well, I'm not planning on getting it, so that'd be 'no.' If you'd like to send me a copy I will happily review it in full, though.
  25. You misread it. WhiteFang is saying that the glasses first appear in Half-Blood Prince. He doesn't mean that Luna first appeared in HBP, even though the pronoun 'she' is used. Remember, these are international boards and not everyone is a native English speaker; you will encounter some grammar mistakes from time to time, but that shouldn't be a problem.
