  1. Well since I'm pretty much a dead man walking anyways, I'm a "snoop", I sneak around people's houses at night and see if they're out and about doing their clandestine actions. After some research at the library I found that we" snoops" go by many other names, most noticeably as "reporters". After Yuri's appeal for targets of the towns' night actions, I thought he was smelling pretty scummy trying to either frame or do some other nefarious deed against the town. So I snuck into his house last night and found it empty (metaphorically speaking since we were all at the party last night). There are a few people that can confirm my innocence if I last another night, however as of the moment I probably look the guiltiest right now and I bet the mafia are just laughing their socks off at their good luck of targeting Yuri the same night I did.
  2. So according to Roxana I'm scum because I post long block paragraphs of gibberish nonsense, well I guess that doesn't give me much space to retort the claims presented without falling into that stereotype Ah well too late First off addressing Roxana's story, I haven't got anything against the facts she's presented aside from the fact that I killed Yuri. I won't argue that I targeted him last night, but I think we all know that there are plenty of us with special abilities that don't involve pulling out a Tommy Gun on someone. Speaking of Tommy Gun, if we're assuming the same weapon is used for each kill, would someone care to explain why I supposedly killed Eugene as well? As far as my posting, what am I supposed to say to that? I've been working my butt off for this town as several people can probably back up. summarize and talk alot, but that is how the town figures things out, I could have easily let all the conversations devolve into the endless rabbit holes that arose, did I? No, every single one of my posts has been to focus the towns efforts on sorting the junk from the facts, unlike some others who would have us still arguing as to whether Nika or Eugene was scum. Communication is key for the town and the more we talk the more chance there is of a scum making a slip up. That's my opinion at least and I'm sticking to it. In conclusion, I can't blame you for all wanting to lynch me right off the bat, even though a few sound a little bit too hasty and this is after all the clearest piece of evidence we have gotten thus far, but I'm sorry you're barking up the wrong tree today, I did not kill Yuri.
  3. So here is what we've got thus far: Eugene: Killed by Tommy Gun on Night 1 Scum/Serial Killer Motive: Quick to accuse and stick by accusation. Vigilante Motive: Erratic behavior, wouldn't budge from accusation even when given logical reasons to do so. Sarah: Killed by Poison on Day 2 Scum/Serial Killer Motive: ? Vigilante Motive: Flying under the radar Yuri: Killed by Tommy Gun on Night 2 Scum/Serial Killer Motive: Possible night action, possible frame against Ruxana because he claimed she had a "nasty night action" Vigilante Motive: Thought Yuri was trying to frame Ruxana, because there was a low probablility that he could have actually found out anything incriminating against her on night 1 Elana: Killed by a Revolver on Night 2 Scum/Serial Killer Motive: Logical and slightly contributive, ? Vigilante Motive: ?
  4. Great another two deaths and we're hardly any closer to finding the scum then we were yesterday. It seems animal control went out of business, so I'm calling the zoo before that crocodile starts devouring living town members Point taken Wilem, as there is a possibility that one of us will die at noon, if someone has pressing evidence from the night, I would suggest that they either get it out in the public or find someone to pass it on to before we possibly lose them. I'm curious as well as to the penalty, even while I think we should share any evidence before one of us dies, I think we should also consider the possibility that those among us with night actions may have been effected in some negative way. It sounds like Yuri might have been on to something the other day, even though it was only the 2nd day. So Ms. Ruxana would you care to elaborate upon the statements that were presented concerning you yesterday? I know that it may smell like a setup against you but I am still curious.
  5. Thanks though I wasn't expecting it. :)

  6. Just to clarify I don't think Petr was making any hard accusations agaist Yan, just giving suspicions and thus his evidence did not have to be hardly compelling. While I am also hesetant that such a plot could truly uncover a scum, I'm not sure you have really backed up assumption of uncovering a scum with any hard evidence either. Take the time to read the past conversations, it doesn't add up from a scum's perspective, why would any scum attract as much attention to himself as Petr has, if anything he would be backpedaling like a madman trying to get back under the radar, not plunging forward and throwing out his suspicions with all guns blazing. As of the moment I'd be more comfortable going against Barbara before I'd vote Petr even though the case against her isn't the strongest, but it's better I think than what we have with Petr. So it seems I'm at an impass, on the one hand there are several individuals who fit Barbara's bill, so should we still vote for her? On the other hand, there is no one else who is quite like Petr, but because of all of his erraticness should we still suspect him of being scum? I'm going to read through the statements again and try and come up with a sensible vote. There has got to be something more solid out there that we can go on.
  7. Well this has certainly been an interesting conversation that has gone on. I will confirm Petr statements that he was suspicious of Patrick and Yan before they voted and I do see his point in that if he had died it would have pretty much cleared all those in the group as townies since no mafia would have been dumb enough to kill him without showing their hand. We shall never know how it would have all worked out, but I think it's safe to say that even with his erratic behavior, Petr is probably part of the town, though I doubt he'll ever try something like that again. On to Barbara, I'm not sure any more evidence has really arisen that wasn't brought up yesterday. I still think that there are alot of other people who fit the same bill so we may be taking a shot in the dark. I'm still undecided whom to vote for, but I still hold that voting is our best action in the end for the reasons I stated yesterday mainly avoiding the penalty and analyzing the voting patter, now more than ever since Samuel's condition has arisen. Sorry Yan, while I was suspicious of Petr earlier, as has already been stated he's either a dumb scum or a erratic townie and while I would not argue with your point that a stupid/confused townie is as dangerous as a scum, they are more advantageous than a scum. Whether confused/stupid/noncontributive/ignorant/stubborn/or all of the above their alignment as a townie is what keeps this town from being over run by the scum. Every life we take by our votes either moves us one step closer to victory or one step further away (at least in terms of numbers) and reducing one of our fellow town members just because they are stupid/confused/etc... in my book moves the scum one step closer to their goal and the town one step further from ours.
  8. Thankfully I will not be as busy as some, so for the moment I will hold my vote. The loss of Sarah is indeed tragic and equally as strange as that of Eugene's. Since Yan has broken the silence, I too will come out and claim as one of the ones whom Petr contacted in private. At first I thought this behavior very strange and I agree with Yan in that I could not figure how the arrangement did any good aside from keeping Petr alive. However due to his willingness to lead the charge against Barbara at first with a slightly logical argument, I thought he was possibly town. Additionally his admittance to being roll blocked before the news of a poisoner had broken out also seemed to make his town allegiance more ensured as no sane mafia would bring such suspicion on himself the night a scum kill had appeared to have been roll blocked. Overarching this entire scenario has been his constantly somewhat erratic behavior, which can be seen as either town-like (since no scum would dare draw that much attention to himself), or mafia-like (serving to distract or lead easy lynches). I'll wait for Petr's reply, but as has been stated he does have a few questions to answer. Oh and in case any of you were wondering, I just found out the coroner skipped town, so my next call will be to animal control to keep the ferals from disturbing the crime scene. Donil shoos away the cat
  9. Sorry there was one other point I forgot to take note of, namely Eugene's death. I am sorry we lost him as he seemed a good man, a somewhat stubborn man but a good one. As has already been stated his death does not make sense, it obviously stinks of a setup against Nike and Tamer, but they may be using reverse psychology to keep suspicion off of them. But then there is a possibility of a vigilante, but even the I think it was pretty much cleared up among all of us that Eskallon and Nike were just two stubborn argumentative townies whom I was getting ready to write breach of the peace tickets to.
  10. Drat, my apologies Mrs. Irene I'm sorry to have caused you such grief. I knew my suspicions were not air tight, but I felt they were better than against the other suspects. Thank goodness there was only one kill last night as I too was thinking there would be more in a group our size. So here is what we know: 1. Samuel was hindered in his ability to vote yesterday, there were 16 votes place but only 15 names given, so my suspicion is we have a double voter and Samuel was voteless. Whether this situation rose from a day action, was the effect of some passive ability, or was some strange act of god remains to be seen. 2. Something happened with Petr, assuming he is speaking the truth, which since his disclosure of the statement places him under suspicion, I believe he is. Did anyone else encounter the same experience? 3. The point that there was only one kill made gives us a few possibilities, either a scum was blocked, a player was protected, or there is only a very large group of mafia with one kill between them all, or the mafia were doing some other dastardly deed and a vigilante has taken justice into his own hands. If I have missed something let me know or add to our pool of knowledge, I'm going to do some more thinking and be back later this evening.
  11. Alright then, well almost 2 hours later Still haven't made much headway. So as I stated we are going to need to vote and I would seriously challenge the reasoning of those of you who would say otherwise. Thus a brief analysis of the current suspects, excluding the Eugene vs. Nika issue, follows: Barbara: The only points against her are her so called lack of "contribution" a term that could be applied equally if not more damning to other individuals. Finally the point Petr earlier made about Barbara trying to distract us with discussion about the Eugene vs. Nika case since she was not the only one to participate in that discussion, I'm not sure if we can single her out as a distracter. Barbara's reply to the accusation hasn't aided much, but as has already been stated there wasn't much to add in the first place. Petr: Most of the charges against him are either based off of slight so called "meta-gaming" and his somewhat scummy reaction to those accusations, i.e. his definition of trust. I also find it odd for him to show a significant amount of evidence against Benji and not follow up on it. However he has been willing to provide somewhat logical suspicions for his actions, and even while I find the accent particularly frustrating, I cannot see him being such a hypocrite concerning distractions when he is providing one of the most annoying ones. Benji: While his responses to the charges against him are valid in terms of content, it appears to me that he is trying to distance himself from his clearly established position. Let me explain, from what I've observed thus far there have been two distinct groups of people during this day, those who talk a lot even when it doesn't get them anywhere in the end (i.e. Eugene vs. Nika, or Petr) and those who don't say anything because there is nothing to say (i.e. Dmitri or Stanislav and even to a point Barbara). Benji however seems to me an outlier, someone who is trying to straddle the fence and not be accused by either party. However it is this very behavior of half-hearted contribution that has brought on him suspicion by Petr. If he claims there was nothing to comment about or speak on then why did he in the first place, let him join the under the radar flight corps if he wishes to not be asked about his mediocre illusions at "contributions". Ultimately while there are many talkers and there are many under the radar flyers and there are probably scum hiding amongst both groups, I think we should first focus on the anomalies, those that are trying to have the best of both worlds, so to speak. Again it's hard to be 100% sure on these things to begin with let alone on the very first day, but it needs to be done if we're to get anywhere. Thus I will, Vote: Benji (Big Cam) I'm sorry to make this vote before Benji can reply, but I believe he has given enough responses to the suspicions raised by Petr to merit this step. As I said earlier I won't be really available for the limited hours before a conviction must be reached, but I will do my utmost to try and check back before hand and if need be change my vote.
  12. Well after 24 hours worth of posts, it seems we've advanced a few inches at least I won't go into commenting on all of the Nika vs. Eugene as that seems to have been resolved, I will just say from my view point you both look like stubborn townies that won't let an issue rest. I applaud you both for trying to get conversation/suspicions going but too much of a good thing can obviously be a bad thing. Laying that aside, the still appears to be first whether we vote or not and second whom to vote for. I can't quite understand the logic held by the group among us who will be fine with not voting if we can't get any clear direction. To me it has been clearly stated that if we don't reach a conviction we will be punished in some form or another. In the worst case scenario we can probably assume that this punishment will be equal to, if not more serious than if we wrongly convicted one of our own. However the same could not be said of the flipside in which we convict one of the scum. I see at this: 1. We convict a loyal member of the town, resulting in moving us closer to losing the game, but also giving us a set of voting patterns to use as evidence for further on down the road. My evaluation: Acceptable situation 2. We convict a scum, resulting in moving us closer to victory and additionally giving us a set of voting patterns to use as evidence for further on down the road. My evaluation: Ideal situation 3. We don't convict anyone, resulting in some negative action against us whether losing a member of the town (which was a possibility of convicting anyways), or having individuals' night occupations impacted, or some other way that will set us back, on top of all this we have no voting pattern evidence and the scum get by without ever having to commit to any sides of an argument. My evaluation: Least desirable situation. So I think we need to vote. We can't keep waiting for the scum to "slip up" we're going to have to make the tough decisions that could have some repercussions, now the only remaining question is for whom. Due to my earlier statements I don't believe Nika is valid suspect at the moment. That leaves only Petr and Barbara as the only currently purported suspects unless I can figure something else out. I'm going to do one more review and see if I can pick anything else out (though reviewing the approximately 200 statements made thus far can take some time) and I will probably vote soon due to a very busy schedule tomorrow in real life at the police department and will not be able to get my decision in otherwise.
  13. Dear oh dear, what a mess. Alot seems to happen when one goes off to work. Thus far from my point of view we can consolidate today's discussion into three main takeaways. 1. Wilem's observations on the late Agent Sky's "evidences" if they may be considered such. While they may not relate to the decision we have at hand, the statement's shouldefinitelyly influence our future considerations and accusations. Thank you Mr. Wilem. 2. The discussion upon penalties for reaching a conviction. While we may not know about what they exactly are, we know that they will be penalties and will hinder us from more effectively eliminating the mafia among us. I agree with the fact that there is no such thing as a useless townie, every townie we have keeps us one step further away from being outnumbered. Voting for someone will be a hard decision, but one I think in the end we will have to come to. 3. The point of Eugene'shabithabbit duly duely noted should he be discovered to have any controlled substances within his possession, I think should be relegated to the point of role-playing. I was in a production once where one of the actors went way off the deep-end in terms of his character ending up trouncing around with a bucket on his head. While he may have been a little nuts it turned out he was malicious. So Mr. Eugene I would encourage you to not continue this distraction, if you need aid I can refer you to several community help lines. To the rest I would encourage to stop picking at role-playing straws and see if we canmeaningfullyningly forward. Unless of course the mafia are trying to keep us distracted with such side issues. Then we know whom to keep our eyes on. I'm going to pour through the statements made again and see if there is anything that "logically" smells fishy and try and make some reasonable headway if possible.
  14. Please don't touch the mime, we'll hopefully get a coroner in here soon. I agree without any hard facts our first decision will be rough and with the numbers as they are, not good for our side. We must remain vigilent and hope for the best or as best as one can get on a day like this.
  15. Worry not Mr. Borris, while the highway patrol may be keeping leniant on these issues, you can be assured that the local police officers will be keeping record of all breaches of the peace and tickets will be filed accordingly after the recent crime has been dealt with.
  16. Police Officer Donil reporting. What devilish work is this? I left the motherland because I believed that here, true justice may be upheld, but now the face of that justice lies face down in its own blood. My fellow citizens we must band together to wipe clean our community from this wave of violence and corruption and see the perpetrators of this crime to their rightful punishment.
  17. 6-8 weeks of gameplay! Sounds intense. 1. My only past experience on these boards involved playing as Chief Brody Bulldog in Hinckley's Mafia School: Fabuland Housewives. I played as a plain townie and helped root out one of the last scum, but was hoodwinked later by the remaining one and consequently killed the following night 2. I shouldn't be anywhere without an internet connection for extended periods of time. Thank goodness for light senior class loads 3. The portal in terms of EB software, I believe is in reference to the Frontpage. 4. As far as memorable embarrassing moments, I don't know if this was the top of the cake, but it's the only one I could think of at the time of writing this down. So I'm helping out at a rather conservative formal convention and I'm supposed to chauffer an elderly lady who's giving a speaking session at another building, I drop her off and then completely forget to pick her back up forcing her to wait for me to never show up, walk for about a quarter of a mile, in the full summer heat, across a 4-6 lane highway back to my building I was apoligizing for quite a while.
  18. What a game! I don't think I've ever checked for updates multiple times during a game I wasn't part of. Congrats Rufus and Ricecracker. Don't be too hard on yourself Captain Tamamono we all slip up at times, heck I've gone with my gut and against a Sherrif's guilty verdict before and been punished for it. Good job hosting Quarryman it's quite a comitment for anybody. I'm looking forward to the next game Hinckley though it's going to start back up right when classes start again Ah well sleeps over-rated
  19. So this may just be a matter of personal opinion for some of you, but I was curious, why do some people use Brickshelf/MOCpages for uploading their photos and others use Flickr? I've searched through the topics and haven't come up with one that explained the trend of people towards Flickr lately. I've had my Brickshelf account for a few years now and was musing about switching over to Flickr. Any thoughts on the subject, or if you know of a topic where this has previously been discussed, if you could please link to it I would be most appreciative.
  20. Wohoo, great comeback Nuju. I was following your first "theme" in the beginning and when that went dry I was disappointed since it included one of my two favorite colors, sand green, in the major color scheme and it was such a unique idea. It's great to see your incorporation of some brick-built beasts, the viking line was okay but utilized a lot of technique pieces. Your style, while using technique pieces where necessary, doesn't go over the top and I look forward to seeing more of your creatures. Keep up the good work.
  21. I'll join the crowd on the sidelines for this one, but I look forward with anticipation to see how this all plays out, especially with no PMing among the Loyals.
  22. I sort of exaggerated on your accuracy, but you did correctly guess the number of kill on night 2 during the 2nd day's thread. But I had to laugh when I first saw the fulfillment of your first prediction.
  23. Ah well, all's well that ends well. Did anyone else notice how Ro87n kept on predicting how many people would die each night?
  24. Yeh, I was reading through it while first playing, so I might not have gotten to that part yet.
  25. Yet, Piing can go both ways it convinced me that MetroiD was Town, but also kept me from voting against Mack due to his conversational attitude. Wow I never knew about the gun being left with you, when I mentioned not having one in thread, I was roleplaying with Hinckley's web comic in which the police force doesn't really have any weapons.
