Mafia School: Fabuland Housewives - Day One
Waterbrick Down replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Randy while I thank you for being in conversation with us, we needed this earlier. As of the moment conversation and the trading of ideas is all we have to go on so your attempt to stay in the background and observe has not helped in the long run, but again I thank you for your help now. Could you please explain your suggestion that Doctor Candice may be part of the mafia, to my knowledge of the past conversations thus far I don't think her contributions have been particularly aimed at "root"ing out townies and if she was mafia why would she need to do such, since she would know who they were by default, in essence townies root out mafia not the other way around. Your suspicion appears more to be a knee jerk reaction to make you appear to be doing your part, than actually doing some analysis of the statements made thus far. I will not vote for you yet but you will need to do a little more explaining and quickly as the time to convict is drawing near. Bianca while I appreciate your assistance in voicing your theories, I believe that it has been stated clearly by the great Voice above that the mayor and his goons are not to be regarded as contributors to this case and thus I would propose that any connections to them be disregarded as well, including Mr. Marcus Mouse's. On that note however I do see your point in his non-contributing attitude thus far. Therefore Mr. Marcus Mouse would you care to explain yourself? -

Thank you for your cooperation Randy, but as you stated we need to convict someone. I'm not sure I follow your logic that whoever votes for you must be traitors to the town. You said we must vote for someone, so are you saying that if we vote for someone else (not yourself) and you join along, that you must be part of the mafia? -

Your presence has been noted Mr. Rabbit, however so has your absence. And while it is true that there are others who have been not as actively involved within the conversation, the times they have contributed they have made attempt to advance our objective in rooting out the scum. It is true that at times we might have private affairs to attend to, but your lack of conversation combined with your lack of meaningful contributions or attempts at such, make your case more suspicious in my book. -

As much as I sympathize with you Betsy, we are dealing with a mafia infestation thus no one is above suspicion not even those we care about most. The mafia will show no partiality thus I don't believe we should either. -

While I agree that Hunter has been acting strangely why would a mafia try to draw attention to himself. I wonder about Randy Rabbit as he didn't show up until several of us had inquired about his absence. -

Gertrude, I know that you care about the innocent of this town as much as do your own children, but refusal to convict someone will only result in punishment from the great Voice in the sky. -

Calm down Gavin. Confusion is the state the mafia all want us to be in. I'll admit that I am not the mayor's favorite person ever since the Governor reinstated me as "Chief of Police" and sent him packing back to his mayoral office in an incident a while back, but I believe the mayor's statements should be treated with suspicion now that he has started depending upon his shadowy "consultants" assistance for legal matters instead of the police. Personally I would like to hear from Randy Rabbit who has yet to make any comments about the incident this morning, before we start throwing out accusations. That way we'll have at least obtained a statement from everyone about their feelings upon the issues at hand. -

I'm just as upset about the loss of a fellow officer as all of you, but to correct the assumptions made thus far he was definitely a fine feathered individual, unless somebody knows something that I have yet to been told. Also, thank you Doctor Candace Cow for your offer to help with the autopsy hopefully we'll be able to come up with something. In the meantime, I agree with you Payton. Although it pains me to think about it, we will need to make some sort of decision fairly soon as to who the mayor and his "consultants" should interrogate for the good of our fair town. Has anyone seen or heard from Randy since this morning's meeting? -

I'd like everyone to know that I requested a full unit of agents to assist my stretched forces in the investigation of our mafia infestation and how many do you think our mayor authorizes? One, just one agent, and a dead one at that. Now I'm stuck with all the paperwork and we don't even have any scrap of evidence to go on. It seems like we're all in a tough spot and according to the Supreme Justice over all of us, it's going to get tougher if we can't come up with a suspect. Patrick Parrot, keep that beak and camera of yours out of the corpse. This is now a crime scene, so all questions and reporters will be going through me. I'm off to the station to get the forensic kit. -
Well, well, well, it appears a bunch of mafia scum have been crawling right under all of our noses. Do not panic fair citizens you can rest assured that myself, Chief Brody Bulldog and the rest of my force will leave no brick block stone unturned till we have rooted out this evil and brought the individuals to justice. Chief Brody Bulldog signing in, over and out.

[MOC] Wagon of the Vagabond Jesters
Waterbrick Down replied to Haltiamieli's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Haltiamieli, good MOC to start out with. I'm really digging the yellow and red combo, it reminds me of the classic castle line. I wouldn't worry so much about the wagon's size, it strikes me just the right balance for a couple to live out of and work out of and I think the door and thus the height help to establish it as a wagon and not just a cart. Good job in including some playability to the piece, as well as some great details like the closing hatch to the driver's bench. I might suggest some either paneling texture or other decorations on the underside of the stage to give it more of a finished appearance when in travel mode, maybe use some of these flower parts to add to the festive look. Overall keep it up, also figuring out photography can take time, experience, trial and error it's a learning process kind of like building with lego. -
Mafia School: Fabuland Housewives

Well, I've been observing the most recent games of late and thought I'd throw my hat into the ring for this one. 1. No big vacations or long travels planned. Moving in 3 weeks and a few day/weekend trips sprinkled in there also, but I should hopefully always have access to internet. On a side note as far as time commitments, next week will be most of my final exams for the semester, but after that I'll have a bunch of free time, so as long as the game starts towards the end of next week I'll be fine. 2. I have played mafia before, but never over the internet. 3. My favorite animal would have to be a caracal or cheetah (closest Fabuland figure would be the brown cat), if birds were to be included then I would chose an American kestrel. I'll be looking forward to watching the game develop from either on the inside or on the sidelines. -
First off, welcome, and glad to see you contributing your first MOC on the boards to the Historic Theme. Having the Dragon Knights versus the Spartans gives a good unique feel to both sides. Your action shots are great, especially some of the ones at different perspectives. One of the photos of the Spartans in the gate is a little out of focus but I know that hectic scenes can be difficult to get just right however some of the others photos are exquisite. One note of advice, you probably want to resize your photos as they can take quite a while to load on some members browsers and really detract from viewing the enitre display in all its beauty (Microsoft Paint is a simple tool for resizing pics). Anyways, to round it all off: great MOC, great action, and great Spartans, this makes me want to go get some of mine own now too . Keep 'em coming.

I am very partial to that wall, the ramparts are excellently done as well, and the non-straight baseplate helps avoid a sense of blandness. One other note, excellent use of the unlit torches, I'm not sure if this was intentional or not, but it is quite fitting for a day-time scene and adds a touch of realism. Far too often if there is a torch in a MoC there seems to be a magic rule that says it must be aflame, so bravo to you.

I wondered if something like this existed on here . I'm looking at making a big castle purchase over 100$ and am having trouble deciding between the newest King's Castle, the Medieval Market Village, and Black Knight's Castle. I know people keep saying that the MMV is one of the greatest if not the greatest castle set, but the newest Kingdom's one isn't too shabby either and the the Black Knight's Castle is just classic coolness. So any suggestions?

Wow!! That is amazing, I don't think I would have the patience to construct something of that scale in digital, but then again maybe the sheer quantitiy of bricks available with LDD makes up for it. Again just jaw dropping, an inspiration for me to give LDD another go.
