  1. Thanks for the info I couldn't think of the name when looking for similar mocs but "mimic" is quite fitting and does ring a bell.
  2. Yep, it will close all the way, so any adventurer thinking he's stumbled upon a chest of gold ripe for the plundering is in for a little surprise.
  3. While working on some castle anthropomorphics I made this little guy up. No real background but Jordan Schwartz's anthropomorphic pirate figures are good inspiration. Thus my own contribution: Gus the Goose, occupation: Port fisherman. Hopefully more anthropomorphics to come, double dipping in both the castle and pirate genre. Anyways it's been awhile since my last postings, so I welcome any crit's you folks might have, now as always.
  4. It's been quite a while since my last post, but I got a few small mocs together and this gave me a chance to try out my new photo setup, hopefully I'll start cranking out some more mocs soon. A little rhinoceros foot soldier, I'm planning on making some more anthropomorphics along the historical theme. A little vignette I made when messing around with unusual piece usage for making creatures a while back. The chest monster, I was surprised not to see any other builds quite like it already, maybe this will start a new line of ravenous storage containers The little dragon, with a swapping of the minifig hand you can vary the species. That's all for now, hope to have some more to come, as always crit's welcome.
  5. Wonderful job of fitting so much in to such a small space. Excellent inclusion of the wall surrounded courtyard. Also as previously commented a good use of the treasure chest lides for the roof, I'm going to have to try that technique at some point.
  6. Oh decisions, decisions, but for pure piratical coolness I'm voting for 19-Cannon Foundry, it just fits the time period perfectly.
  7. I know I really wanted to go dark blue or dark green, but I haven't taken the time to start using bricklink. Windows are always one of my hardest things to add due to a limited window part selection, but the oil lamp upstairs should help the dear mortician. Nails! Will do next time thanks for the reminder. The trick is hiding the fleshie's face, but pale corpses are usually not in active positions. The coffin was one of the first designs I worked on and I really liked how they turned out.
  8. Front View of the Shop, I started trying to determine whether to go dark green or dark blue. After figuring out I didn't have enough of either to do the moc justice I switched to the regular blue. Then there was the matter of figuring out how to advertise, so how about a coffin just outside the door? First Floor, with work shop, stone slab for those no longer with us, some suspicious flasks, and coffin storage. Mortician Hard at Work, building a coffin bigger than your work bench isn't easy, but this guy somehow manages it with his trusty array of tools. The Dearly Departed, at last a good use for those fleshies. Second Floor, modestly furnished with sea chest, bed, dinner table, and a few crates of supplies. The cast as always. For more pics on brickshelf Thanks for viewing
  9. Entry #43 Morgue/Coffin Works Here it is, hope I made it in time. Front View of the Shop First Floor Mortician Hard at Work The Dearly Departed Second Floor Topside My Favorite Shot That's all folks.
  10. Yikes, better take my pictures tonight and get the morgue up in running, can't have pirates and good citizens just lying on the streets.
  11. Well, well, well, shiver me timbers and all that piratey talk, looks like another fine build is ahead for Eurobricks. If you'll all have me, I've just arrived from the historic castle community build and I'd like to take a ply at the oars of this one. I've got one more week till classes start back up, so I'll see if I can contribute a few selections. I'm going to give the Morgue/Coffin Works a shot first and see how I do building something 400 years after my usual time period.
  12. Hopefully castlelord this won't deter you from posting your own take on this module. Presenting M3 Wall Repairs: Interior Shot Exterior Shot Never make one of Stol's Stonemasons angry. Even the dwarves are lending a hand. Finally, you would have thought someone could have least put a construction sign, or tape, or something out. Thanks and as always feel free to check out more pics on brickshelf when moderated. Brickshelf folder As I said before hopefully we can muster one last charge to finish this thing out.
  13. Well, since school started back up, lego has again shifted more to the back seat. I was able to finish one more module, wall repairs, before I was back in full academic swing. I wasn't sure whether to post it since it sounds like castlelord may be taking a shot at it, but since I haven't seen anything else on it I'll probably post it by next weekend (the only time I really have for building these days). Hope to see everyone give one last push for this project. UPDATE: Here's M3 Wall Repairs: See Team Alpha's forum for more pics.
  14. Once again ISC pure eye candy. All the little details you put into your architecture are amazing.
  15. O2 Back Gate Exterior shot, I wanted to have the entire module done in the new grey, but ran out of bricks towards the top of the wall so I had to supplement with the older color as well. Most of the wall design was based off of ICS's Barracks module. Interior shot, after I had finished the main portion of the module I ended up having a few regrets, first you'll notice the hunting party is heading the wrong direction to get to the keep the quickest way but I had already designed the stairs so the party would have been a bit smooshed. Second, I still question myself if the back gate should have had a portcullis but I would have had to redesign the entirety of the top of the wall (not something I looked forward to). So this is as it is. One of my personal favorite parts of the set, the Goblin Invasion Horde Surplus shop. The victorius hunting party has returned with the prize of their outing. However, I think the lord has another prize on his mind. That's all there is folks see the rest of the pics on brickshelf when moderated Next project is the wall under construction I think. Question, the Wall Under Siege module was still on the list to be completed but didn't *Jerry Man* submit that with his Cooper awhile back? Also, by the way, what exactly is the Lumberjack Lodge module?
  16. As promised and after a lot of last minute digging for pieces, here's O2 Back Gate. See the Team Alpha Thread for more pics as usual.
  17. Oy Vey, looks like the castle is in disrepair these days. Just got a lego order in today so I should hopefully have my next mod up this weekend. (Hint it's a big one)
  18. A job done well again Etzel, keep up all the detailed work I really enjoy it.
  19. Wow, Great build pedro, I'm glad to have you participating in this build, you're a wonderful addition. Now, presenting C9 Actor's Guild The lower level featuring the costumer and the stage hand/prop manager. The upper level featuring the playwright and the actor. The Playwright hard at his next work. The Actor practicing his part for the upcoming production. More pics at my brickshelf when regulated Thanks all and keep up the work.
  20. Presenting C9 Actor's Guild See the Alpha Thread for more pics. Thanks
  21. I'm still in, but due to school I only get to build on the weekends now. I do have a mod coming up soon here if I can find the right parts in my collection quickly.
  22. Wow!!! So many incredible modules! Thrash: Amazing embassy, I really like the use of all the skeleton parts and all the other small details, especially the floor, pure genius. Genaral armendariz: Very well done for a sea-fairing sailor, the falcon symbol is a wonderful touch, and the figures are great, good creativity on the ambassador. Etzel: Again a most exquisite addition to the castle layout.
  23. Presenting I13 the Medieval Dyer An overall shot Without the awning. A closeup of the dyers at their work. A shot of the dye bins, the drying rack and some barrels of cold water. One last aerial shot, the stream unfortunately serves as the sewage system for the dyes, but it does come in handy keeping invading armies from swimming the moat to the keep. More pics at my brickshelf Comments or criticisms welcome.
  24. It's been a week or so since my last post due to school and all, but I hope this doesn't disappoint. Presenting the Medieval Dyer As always more pics of I13 in the Alpha thread.
  25. Very neat gaurd house Etzel, a quite delightful model fit onto such a tiny space, I can't wait to see more. ICS, the skeleton embassy, well done. A creative model that should feel at home in our castle/city. Keep it up all! Go Alpha!
