  1. A small furry figure darts into the hall baring a slip of paper which he quickly pins to the announcement of Quest 11.
  2. "Hold Arasmyth! Don't take another step, if you can, use some magic to investigate, but I sense a possible trap ahead." Skrall inspected the foliage above him, firing off a bolt to ensure nothing lurked in the tree tops.
  3. "So we know that right is the right direction, however let us explore the path to the left to ensure we have not missed any important clues. Indeed, the fact that Althior's compass has come to its senses out of the blue, makes me wary of the results."
  4. I posted a dissertation on gems and rare items in the QM lounge a little back, but it can be slightly annoying having to make monsters at 100 health just because everybody in the party has all the gems and elemental weapons Sorry Masked Builder, the compass does come in handy, but that's why you put the loot in the opposite direction as the bait By the way Sandy, where did you get the inspiration for the Poltergeist?
  5. To those waiting on the list for quest 11, it should be up in about 6 hours, I'm on my way back from a conference so when I can get to my computer connection it will be set. Thanks for your patience.
  6. "Agreed, otherwise I suggest he ask the gnome for a refund." Skrall seated himself on a nearby fallen tree trunk and pondered thei current perdicament.
  7. "The game's a hand! Follow those tracks. Althior is that blue butler of yours as good at trackin' as he is at yappin'? We're trackin' prey here, not announcin' a circus!"
  8. Clearing away the slimy carcuses, Skrall checked around for the footprints.
  9. "Aye yer right Althior." Battle Order: Althor Namyrra Skrall Dyric Arasmyth Bob
  10. Skrall shivered as bursts of magic brought on a spell of icy wind whipping through the trees of the forest. His first shot had missed skirting just above the frog. "Sod those amphibeans, I'm goin' to have to adjust for their height. Namyrra, Althior I leave your spell usage to your discretion. Everyone else I would suggest an all out melee." "Now," Skrall mumbled to himself, "time to get me some frog legs." With that the ogre once again sighted the mutant frog (a) in his pin sight from the back row.
  11. "Althior has that covered Rone and with good reason, should he become confused, he could accidentally smite one of us possibly afterword."
  12. "Correct my good rogue, however I'm sure Namyrra already has that frog (b) in her sights, so to say."
  13. "Wretched aquatic beasts, I thought this was a forrest, not a swamp, do the Hinckwells know they've invested their wealth in a marsh? " Skrall notched a bolt in his crossbow from the back row and targetted the mutant frog (a). "You know the drill all, mages conserve yer ether unless it will be effective. Since Namyrra has the capability of killing with a single blow, I suggest the remainder of us target that amphibian (a)." Order of attack: Althior Namyrra Skrall Dyric Arasmyth Bob
  14. "Or the powes above are frustrated that we have such a useful item and are thus toying with the results "
  15. "To the right., Althior I would suggest you get that compass looked into upon our return to Eubric, it should have pointed in the right direction, but we have higher concerns for the moment."
  16. "Althior does that compass of yours have us go right or left?" OOC: Since your spell missed k-nut you didn't lose ether.
  17. "I agree, we seemed to have knocked this fellow out pretty hard, I don't think we're goin' to get anything out of him soon. Let's get after those tracks." OOC: All the stats are almost right, except everyone's health should be one point higher, i.e. mine should be 10/10 and my weapon is no longer poisoned.
  18. OOC: I don't mind if you don't adjust the battle text, but since Namyrra's Darkness spell was a critical hit and it's also effective against Humanoid monsters, her first attack would have ended the battle. So if you just adjust everyone to full health and full ether and raise the original values +1 for the battle experience, aside from Namyrra who would have expended one ether, we'll be set.
  19. "Well, he put up a good fight but I don't think he'll be givin' us much trouble anymore." Opening up the bandit's purse Skrall gave 5 gold to Namyrra and 3 gold to everyone else. "Now let's see if we can wake this chap up and get some information out of him." Taking a flask of water out of his satchel, Skrall doused the bandit while pinning his chest to the ground with his other hand. OOC: Since Namyrra had a critical hit on the first roll, her darkness spell would have knocked the bandit out in one round, therefor sparing the rest of us from losing any more health or ether. Also just to note sometimes mages will choose to attack with melee instead of using a spell if their opponent is weak enough, so you may not want to go on auto-pilot with spell casting unless the mage indicates so.
  20. "Althior, get that butler of yours to the back row, we don't need a dead body trippin' up the rest of us. Has anyone else noticed how much this thug resembles our precious grounds keeper? Maybe this whole thing's been an inside job."
  21. "No need fer the sleep effect. I'm just hopin' the powers above know we're shootin' to lame not kill "
  22. Skrall glanced suprisedly at the usually somber Fenarian's shout of battle glee. "Alright chaps, all new mages to the back row, I don't want to be carryin' yar body all the way back to the hall. Unless ya have a spell that would be effective against this scoundal, I'd suggest ya save your ether or whatever ya call it fer later. Rone this enemy is quite strong so take care with yer attack. I'll pick off the thug from the back row with a bolt from my crossbow. If we can, let's leave him alive, he may have some useful information." Order of Action: Althior Namyrra Skrall Dyric Arasmyth Bob
  23. Well if someone had dropped a halberd, I think we'd see it right away. Throwing knives take a little bit more work to find in the undergrowth you know
  24. Skrall chuckled at the rogue's upstartness, recalling his own younger days of roaming, "Yer not the only one who has a knack fer throwin' things master Dyric, though I myself prefer to chuck scimitars at my enemies. I'll keep yer request in mind however."
  25. Skrall bent down toward the fire, feeling the fleeing warmth of the coals, "Aye, let's take a look 'round here and see if this group left anything behind. Take care for traps or ambushes though, I doubt these trespassers know we're trackin' them yet, but you never know." Removing a vial of venom from his satchel, the ogre applied the poison to his quarrels in preparation for any scuffles the party may soon run into.
