I'm actually savoring the moment Boris and Pretzel meet.

If ever there was a time for that thing to die...

Boris nodded, he had had to memorize Ennoc's holy tomes for nearly all his life, reading he could handle. -

"Well have to see, I doubt it's anything too dangerous, they did pick relatively new members." -

Boris shouldered his mace as they walked, "Well, I did notice a sign for some sort of Arena back at the hall. There's at least one fencing school that I'm aware of in Eubric, but I'm not sure if that's what your looking for." -

Skrall fired another arrow at the archer from the back row. If his first shot suceeded he'd switch to the Jun Chi from the back row with his Oversized Greatsword. "It'd be a little more handy if you were down here, Regulus." -

"Don't worry, you wouldn't be the first to make that mistake. No, I grew up in this city most of my life, just never had the need to turn to heroing." -

"Seems about right for this city. Any ideas on what he wants in return?" -

Boris trots along, he was familiar with Guffington, though he had never met the man himself, the Sayyip were unfamiliar to him. "So your contact wasn't willing to just drop the book off with you?" -

"Really, B and E? I spent a good 6 months on an excellent tome concerning that. We'll have to compare notes at some point." Boris smiled at Karl, his two pronounced canines showing. -

Boris had done his best to direct his companions, after all he had lived in the city for nearly all his life, but they were full of excitement and enthusiasm to they spent the better half of the day being directed towards the docks. At long last they had come upon their employers. "Good day gentlemen. Boris Bruhalv at your service. We intending on putting out to sea?" -

Skrall slugged down a Grand Potion from the back row before firing off a shot at the remaining Archer from the back row. If the archer was dead, Skrall attacks the Jun-Chi from the back row with his Oversized Greatsword. -
"Well boys, grab your gear and your coupon books, we're going shopping." Boris drained his newly arrived tankard and made for the door.
-
"Cheer up boys, still two quests to go. Another round?"
-
Boris listens to Keliim's story before noting a new quest being posted. "Really, someone's paying other people to do their shopping? Sounds like an easy 100 gold, what do you think gentlemen?" The vampire inquires of Karl and Keliim as he signs up for Quest 123.

OoC: As Flipz mentioned, I believe elemental damage would heal the Jun-Chi, in which case I would assume Skrall would either switch weapons or attack one of the other guards. There's no existing rule as to how the case should be handled, so I'll be fine leaving it to your judgement. Also 723 Gold from the overkill. Skrall reloads and fires at each of the Azure Guards from the back row. -
"'I am the lantern of Olegaia, the man that seeks me shall not be shut in darkness, but shall have my lantern of vivacity. I am the highway, the certainty, the existence.' The fourteenth of Johon stanza six. Got to believe there was something behind those words. Truth determined by an axe or a sword is merely an opinion, my friend." "Perhaps." Boris contemplates before signing up for Quest 122. "And where do you hail from Keliim and what occasion bestowed upon you the moniker of cruelty?"
-
A softness overtake's Boris's eyes as he reflects. "Ennoc is the light, boy. Truth, justice, the Eubrician way, he's the embodiment of it all. His paladins and clerics are among the purest in all of Olegaia. Ennoc was the first of the new gods and by his might he set forth the new path to righteousness, a better path. You say you come from the slums, surely you benefited at times from the charity of the brotherhood?"
-
For your first time QMing, simple is good. Don't try to stuff too much into one quest and stay on point. There'll be plenty of opportunities down the road to expand.
-
"Something like that, you'd need a little of my fluids first though, blood, saliva, etc. Most vampires are in so much of a hurry that it doesn't matter, but if we're careful we can feed without passing on the condition."
-
"That's where the ex-cleric of Ennoc part comes in. Only been a vampire for month or two now."
-
"Grew up in the temple of Ennoc all my life, specialized in the removal and expulsion of the undead and demonic powers. Had a bad run-in with a vampire a couple of months ago, left me like this, didn't leave the order with too much of a choice. Banished immediately and had to take to the streets. Still got some healing power in these bones, but not everyone's a big fan of someone who'd just as likely take your blood out as put it back in. Got caught up in a scuffle with some Town Watch and ducked in here for a spell. I'd heard about the place but never really thought much of it, people sticking there self righteous moral noses in other people's business and all. But hey, the pay don't look too bad and the atmosphere's pleasant enough, so I figured I'd stay for a little while."

The fields are suited for a anyone, but lower level heroes are definitely not going to get far. I'm only expecting 1-2 maybe 3 battles max before we'd have to exit. But 3 battles is still 3 battles. I'm only stewing on one quest/event currently, thinking maybe sometime in February/March for a release. I've hinted at it before, but it should give some of you a chance to show off your evil side.
-
"I would think so, but you never can tell."
-
"Apparently." Boris ordered another ale. "So you've already been to the fields, eh?"
