  1. Thanks for taking care of that, WhiteFang.

  2. Or perhaps this sort of thing happens all the time and I've only just become aware of it.

  3. That's maybe the fourth or fifth I've reported today.

  4. I apologize if continuing this spammer discussion is discouraged, but I've noticed that even though the spammers' birthdays are listed as being close to the joining date (usually the next day) they don't show up under 'X members have a birthday today'. This happens even when I don't report them. Is this a safeguard feature?
  5. This has been happening far too often. Mods, I believe in you!

  6. I'm borrowing a small graphic from your signature since I didn't want to use one of the banners (too garish). Hope you don't mind.

  7. Or Kotobukiya statues instead of action figures if you are really looking for accuracy. What people find so 'accurate' about action figures I will never know.
  8. That's a fantastic job you've done with the rocks - the BURP blends in perfectly!
  9. And that's not all! Artoo's proportions are all wrong! Vader needs a neckpiece! Luke and other pilots need headsets as well as chin straps! Biker scouts need more printing and a backpack! Super battle droids and droidekas are too big! Boba Fett needs a firing jetpack! In all seriousness, I'm not sure whether we need a separate thread for griping about minifigure accuracy. The original post doesn't seem particularly inspiring.
  10. As much as I love 7778, and as much as I've preached its accuracy in the past, I can say for certain that many of the proportions are way off. The docking arms, for example; much too fat. The set is also, as we all know, elongated. The same, I think, could be said for the mandibles on 10179. Those two are by far more 'Falcon-like' than any of the System renditions, though.
  11. Correct. For example, you can see from the gallery Brickdoctor linked to that the rounded parts of the hull should not be as tall as the docking arms and quadlaser turret mount. The height issue is also quite evident when one compares the angle at which the jaws slope – far too steep. I would shave down the height before anything else, as well as the docking rings (remember Kiel’s comparison picture). That being said, accuracy aside, the mandibles do look better this way. You may also want to consider replacing the 6x12 wedges with 4x8s.
  12. I’ve seen many good minfigure scale 74-Zs (Eurobricks members seem to be quite fond of them), so I’m even more impressed by what a huge jump this Moodland rendition makes in quality. As previously metnioned, the shaping of the saddle area, while already outstanding, is further improved by the use of curved slopes. The way you’ve included the often-missed second connection of the steering vanes and the ‘bell’ at the apex of the outrigger is also nice. The black against white makes it difficult to make out some of the finer details, but it looks like you’ve remembered the power cell as well.
  13. A dose of any what?
  14. Let's show this prehistoric bitch how we do things downtown.

  15. Your cordiality is as amicable as ever. I remember that game - very clunky, but entertaining nonetheless. Indeed.
  16. This piece of important news deserves to be: I can't believe this has gone unnoticed for twelve hours. Surely someone must have something to say on the matter?
  17. What wipers? There are no windows! This creation has been...
  18. I'd just like to add that this creation has been...
  19. There have been many threads like this one before with all the above arguments put forth. I think I'll go dig some of them up now... Should LEGO make a Military Theme? No weaponry and violence in City sets?! TLG's Written Stance About "Weapons in LEGO" Lego and modern weaponry WWII Lego The guns steve the guns... etc, etc.
  20. The last time that was suggested, I believe one of the staff replied that they didn't want tags to become too much of an obsession.
  21. Complete with barking frog and wall-mounted snail.
  22. The rebel crests and other insignia are awarded to those who have participated in a Star Wars community build (see here). Death Stars are a bit different: I remember how ecstatic I was the day I noticed one of these under my name. I believe the lightsabers are for staff only, though was awarded to winners of certain Star Wars contests.
  23. "All right! This chick is toast!"

  24. Who, me? Legostein's will be much better, of course.
