Now THIS should be on the front page! Ki-Adi-Mundi will be overjoyed...

I agree. The A-wing, while only a little more recognizable than the B-wing, did play a crucial role at Endor. Hmm... but it still wouldn’t sell. You do realize that the woman in that picture is Gareth’s wife? To my knowledge, there is no evidence for either of thsoe rumors.
-
Ah - I think I was looking at every third or fourth (since I started in the middle)... though I can't remember the last time I've read a detective novel involving numerical code. 10227 B-wing, eh? Well, the set number certainly hasn't been used before...
-
So how do you crack this code anyway? . I don't know, I'm guessing Ten Nunb and Ackbar would help it sell (especially since the B-wing got very little screen time - which, on second thought, is why I would not get my hopes up about this. But I was wrong about the last UCS set, so who knows?). As previously stated, I don't think the inclusion of minifigures hurts a UCS set so long as they don't affect the design of the set itself. Archduke II is right about one thing though... it would look really good. The B-wing is a beautiful starship. It would be amazing if the set were this big...

Yes, I think that's been the trend with Star Wars sets recently.
-
I think we already have a thread for this.

Isn't that a good thing? As for the set, it looks like a decent parts pack...

Good day all... I've had a little extra time recently. Here is another update: Please excuse the sorry job on the fusial thrust engines; once I get this thing into a CAD that will be fixed. I went with Anio's suggestion and tried a brickbuilt nose, again with some inspiration from errbt's rendition as well as 7140. I'm not quite sold on it and may go back to using illegal connections. Depends on the feedback I get... Thank you. It's not fixed in the pictures, but I have found a solution that does end on the bar thickness. It's a big improvement over the 16L Technic axles, accuracy wise. (The ideal solution, though, would be 16.5L straws as used in Brucey-wan's X-wing... but I don't have any of those.) Helped a lot, thanks. I've moved the white half-cylinders so that the little square bits have been minimized (at least on the top). So far I'm happy with it... maybe I should use this? (I've been reluctant to use that piece since it doesn't integrate very well...)

Ah, how I've had that feeling before... *reads article on Zinn Toa* Hmm, a "Kyber Crystal"... -

What does a young *looks up Kit Fisto's race* Nautolan even look like? Is there an existing source that depicts one? To answer your question, maybe it's just me, but I don't really see the resemblance. Something to do with the mouth... -
There's nothing wrong with Americans, just people who can't find three seconds to delete the apostrophe in "its" when it's* being used to indicate possession. But I'll get back on topic. That reminds me of someone's display of 10179 set inside a glass coffee table... I can't find the picture. Does anyone else know what I'm talking about? From what we've heard, 7879 sounds rather like 7754 with guns instead of a hangar... *See what I did there?

TLC stealing ideas from builders
Fallenangel replied to WesWilliams's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Sorry to bump an old thread, but come on, that's it? Consider the similarities between these: 10179 and Pepa Quin's Millennium Falcon 10212 and dmac's Tydirium (but we know what happened in this case) 10215 and cavegod's Delta-7 (but again, we know what happened - didn't cavegod say he got compensated?) 10221 and Anio's Executor 8017 and Brian Tobin's TIE Advanced x1 I agree with snefroe though; people use others' ideas all the time. I like to call it research... -
Show Your Army, Navy, and Collection Display

We already have a thread for this. -
To answer your question, the new sets will probably come out in August like they always do. To get "cought up" I would strongly recommend checking the first page of this thread. I don't know how big 10179 is (I'm guessing somewhere around a meter in length) but someone approxmiated 10221 to be 4ft, which is considerably larger than my estimate. Availability talk belongs here. Eurobricks members generally don't like it when Americans ask about availability in the States because not everyone here is from the States. And I request that you put more care into posting in standard English as this is an international forum and not everyone here is as fluent in English as a native speaker would be, and pressing the "Shift" key takes little to no physical effort and nearly as little thought. Welcome to Eurobricks!

And as I mentioned before, they could just get this... even the box art fits. Remember, though, that 7754 did not contain any of our "major" characters with the notable exception of Lando (in spite of the fact that they were all in that scene) while containing several "minor" characters (e. g. Ackbar, Mon Mothma, Madine).

I'm reminded of this.

Are 'Anikan' and 'Anikin' legitimate alternate spellings of 'Anakin', or are a lot of people just spelling it wrong? I'm asking because some differences in names exist between different versions of the films (for example, Threepio is Z-6PO in the French dub of Star Wars and Artoo is D2-R2). -
Virtually all Naboo designs are much too curvaceous and/or organic to look good in LEGO. Just look at 7161. The same could be said for most designs from Menace. The C-9979 and the Lucrehulk are possibilities as playsets (or, if enough AFOLs want them, UCS) but strangely they've been avoided.
-
Because a face print is somehow more (or less) interesting than a torso print... The same thing that happened to your apostrophes in this thread title.

Quoted for truth.

There's an old maxim that goes: "a mind is a terrible thing to waste"...

Assembling clips in this manner is not approved by The LEGO Group (presumably since it would damage the piece in the long term) and is thus considered an 'illegal' building technique. It sure comes in handy, though. Eh, 5~15 minutes isn't that long, especially considering how long Eurobricks reviews like Rufus's and Brickdoctor's are.
-
LOL
-
In this case, I think it would be better to remain 'silent'*... *See what I did there?

It's a good thing there are people who know how to do it right. Eh, the reviews seem all right. You can't really be too excited for 7957. (Apparently, the middle thing comes off, which I guess is a decent play feature.) 7959 uses a lot of really big curved pieces, which (for me at least) don't tend to come in too handy, and I'm not too fond of the way the look either... on the other hand, the cockpit piece, as others have mentioned, would work well for the Delta-7.
