  1. That episode is one of my favorites. Such an old episode though, I doubt they would make a Monorail set.
  2. Wait... "Lego's marketing director, Mads Nipper, confirms that the company is negotiating with the people behind the Simpsons, but can not say anything about when an agreement is expected to be in place." They might be not directly referring to a license on The Simpsons. They might just be reffering to a license on an upcoming Fox movie, maybe even a Dream Works movie, which is owned by Fox. But still, I hope for some Simpsons sets...
  3. I was a huge Simpsons fan, so here are my thoughts. Personally, I really don't think it fits LEGO's "brand standard". There are some really risque stuff in some episodes. I will be really happy if this deal goes through, and I might just collect all the sets. The yellow faces definitely help. Additionally, I can see these sets appealing to more older fans, like Lord of the Rings, and with a few sets each year, like the Spongebob theme. I could see the initial wave covering the basics: the Simpson's House (with Homer's car, maybe around $130), Marge's car, the Comic Book store, maybe a little bit of Bart's School, and such, all with the most recognizable characters (and one Simpson's family member to each set). Then, if it proves to be successful, a second wave will include some more obscure places...
  4. Nice to see TMNT finally getting the advertising it deserves in the April calender! Like always, thanks GRogall!
  5. Mine? This gem from the good 'ol year of '93... though I'm pretty sure I've gotten older Duplo sets.
  6. Looks great! Hoping to see this soon! Thanks, 'Alywin'!
  7. Definitely. I'm guessing next year will focus more on the villian's vehicles (I smell a remake of the Hammer Truck set) and Robin, and maybe one or two Batman vehicles. I also predict one full January wave for Batman, kind of like 2012, with no other set releases for DC for the year. But, I'm not sure.
  8. Okay, I saw this dispute recently in this thread, but I'm putting it out there, as all the cards lead up to it: I REALLY think we are going to get one Thor 2 (TDW) set before the movie comes out (October 2013, or maybe September 2013, judging by all of these early set releases for movies this year). Here's why: - This mural (I've explained it a billion times) - One set will make DC and Marvel have the same amount of sets for the year (I know some of you disputed this, but just keep this is mind) - For those doubting LEGO will touch on Thor 2, why wouldn't LEGO make a set( based off a (most likely) major blockbuster movie that they have the license for? - For those doubting an October/November 2013 release for the set, and rather thinking it will have a December 2013/January 2014 release, why would LEGO do that? It would just be a move to lose money. Putting it one or two months AFTER the movie comes out is just a dumb move. • And, for those who bring up TDKR set in this situation, keep in mind that TDKR was released in July 2012, and the set came out nearly six months after. If LEGO put out a Thor 2 set in January 2014, it would most likely be released early in December 2013, a month after Thor 2's release, which is a dumb move (like I previously mentioned). - For those thinking Thor 2 will get more than one set, I doubt it. It seems like there really isn't much going for the movie for the kids. And, whoever said one set for a movie is a bad thing (like TDKR set)? The decision fits perfectly, especially due to the equal amount of sets for DC and Marvel theory. Just my two cents.
  9. Thanks! It is actually a very slight lighter gold, but I'm not sure if you can see in the picture, as I'm not the best photographer. And, I've always been a sucker for the Marvel box arts, so here is all of the top right corner artwork (minus the Iron Man polybag), side art, and logos from all the sub-themes!
  10. ! Quick sum up of 76006: I love War Machine, the Extremis dude is okay, and the boat is not half bad!
  11. Well, I got the Iron Man 3 Boat set today! The review will be up soon, and when it is, I'll advertise post it here. But, I did notice one thing... the official box says it's for "Ages 6-12" but the GRogall image says "Ages 7-14"! Weird, eh?
  12. This isn't the most useful topic, but I think it will be a fun discussion. I was thinking today, if we were not going to get set(s) based off of an upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, which one would it be? Because, in reality, I do not think LEGO will make a set based off of ALL of the new Marvel Cinematic Universe films... It has to be one of these five films, which are the ones confirmed: - Thor: The Dark World (2013) - Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) - Gaurdians of the Galaxy (2014) - Avengers 2 (2015) - Ant Man (2015) If I had to guess, it would be Ant Man. I really can't see sets based off of the film due to size limitations for the ant man. Unless he was a trophy piece. And, which one would y'all not want sets based off of? I really would not care too much if we didn't get Thor: The Dark World sets, to be honest. I don't think the movie will be too exciting... Oh, and can a mod change the title from "If we weren't to get sets based off a new Marvel movie, which woul" to "If we weren't to get sets based off a new Marvel movie..."?
  13. Great review, 'Captain Nemo'! Though a bigger mansion set would have been much cooler, I think the set is great for the price. I'm just a bit confused about Tony's hair!
  14. I guess you're right, or at least I'm hoping you are. But, last year it was that was, and this year it seems it will be (six for each). One set for a movie is possible (see TDKR set). I'm guessing next year we'll get 3 for CA2 and 3 for GotG
  15. Well, it seems like we may only be able to get a one Thor 2 set, as the DC line this year has six sets, but the Marvel line only has five so far. So I'm guessing one expensive Thor 2, kinda like the Black Pearl release from 2011 (an single set October release).
  16. In the United States, it's Toys"R"Us. I'm not sure of the Australian version of it.
  17. I do apologize! Back onto Super Heroes discussion, I really wonder when they'll release (if they have one planned) the Thor 2 set. I would think an October release sounds fitting as they movie is coming in November, but LEGO recently has tend to be releasing movie based sets earlier (Iron Man 3 in March, Lone Ranger in April). But, then again, we would have already had the name of it if it were to come out in August or September...
  18. Don't wanna move too far of topic, but the sets were listed on Kmart yesterday for a very short time (I so regret not store pick up'ing them), and I screen capped them. They do pricematch from online sites, or at least they did for me a couple times.
  19. I was planning on price matching and getting the Insectoid polybag.
  20. I know, but I don't wanna pay for shipping. Agreed! Not trying to go off topic, but their customer service sucks. They never return calls or anything. Oh, and one question... is the Iron Man Mark XLII helmet a different color than the ones from the Avengers sets?
  21. While everyone is out getting Iron Man 3 sets, all my Toys"R"Us stores are either lying or holding the sets back until the 7th.
  22. YCF made a review of the new Man of Steel figure!
  23. Hope this series doesn't become like COD with Assassin's Creed V coming out in 2014.
  24. It doesn't say that it's an hour special, but rather an hour and a half special! I hope it isn't episodes 1-3 but rather 3-5...
  25. Wow, what a great idea! Way better in presentation than the other Ghost Busters set (no offense to those who worked on it)!
