I never though of this with way. LEGO is an accessible way for people, kids and adults alike, to build mini-metropolises without knowing a ton about math or having access to tools, materials, etc. Plus building towns with LEGO improves an understanding of geometry and matrix reasoning.

Bumpity-boo! Your classic style reminds me of Alex54's awesome town buildings. This could easily be a sub-them of Classic LEGO Wild West. The combination of the awning, railings and windows give the MOC such a unique feel. Very clever and simple ways to give something a different and complex look. I love roof timbers hanging over the edge of the outside walls. I wish the fountain didn't have a wood base and the clock didn't look so modern. Maybe a cow skull above the door instead. Either way, beautiful work! I really like everything you've been building lately!

I'm not really sure building Town creations is so much a choice as it is something engrained somehow in our genetics. May as well ask why you like the color blue. There's no answer, you just like it. But that driving genetic force aside, what is it about Town building that keeps you coming back? I like to see the little City Center I'm building grow and I love the challenge of adding more and more architectural detail to my buildings. IRL, I miss seeing classic stone architecture and think the age of the beautiful art deco and stone skyscrapers is sadly over. Mies Van der Rowe buildings and glass/steel structures have replaced the artistry I appreciate in architecture. I like to celebrate the best of classic architecture in my work and put it all together in one place. I like having that little metropolis that I built on a table in my room. So what are your thoughts on Town/City building? Do you build urban creations, suburban, rural, neighborhoods? Do you prefer Industry, vehicles, ships, trains? What makes it your preferred theme?

Banned! Just kidding. As usual when this discussion comes up, if you behave yourself we won't have any reason to ask. However, announcing your age usually annoys the staff as it encourages other underagers to join. So please, just use common sense in the future.

Thank you! Merry Christmas to you too.

Maybe you should listen to the narration and info the Tour Guide is giving you. There's a lot in the first day. To miss it, you'd have to actively ignore it. -

Can you be more specific? Because it's present day and the words "Devil's Island" and "temple ruins of Phasma Diabolus" have been repeated repeatedly. -

Thanks for your patience, guys. My holidays are over and I'm back home, and I think all the players should have more time too. At least I hope so. Look for an exciting new chapter this weekend with puzzles and intrigue and a game to start going. I did enjoy the first chapter and those of you who stuck around to add some character and get the exposition out of the way. Hope you enjoy what comes next. -
The bus enters a clearing and the pinnacles of Phasma Diabolus are just visible through the thin fog. The bus rolls to a stop over a makeshift gravel lot and the adventure begins...
-
*a voice in your head suggests that perhaps photographing some of these shadows may reveal something... bitch.*
-
*Hector slams on the brakes as a large dark shadow darts across the road. Stanton falls out of his seat onto the floor. The bus sits for a moment as everyone recovers from the shock.* Whoa dudes. Like, sorry. Anybody see that? Like a leopard or something, huh?

I've already requested that pic not to be posted as it's clearly preliminary with the sculpted pig.

Like, it's not like we're on a highway here. It takes a while to get to the ruins. Notice we're on more of a rocky trail than a highway. It's not like we're on a highway here. Did I already say that? Anyway, it takes about an hour to get there from here.

*As the ferry approaches the island, the passengers of the MOTEE tour collectively hold their breath as they momentarily see dark shapes moving along the shore. Further inspection reveals that it is the bright moonlight casting shadows on trees lightly blowing in the breeze and reflecting off of a thin layer of low-lying fog. The ferry drifts slowly into the harbor and docks at the port. In only a few moments, the bus takes off for the temple ruins of Phasma Diabolus, leaving a departing ferry in the distance...*
-
The storm quickly dissipates and the seas calms. The clouds part to reveal a very bright full moon. The view of Devil's Island in the distance is very peaceful.
-
*The seats are currently in use and you cannot check under them all. There is nothing under your seat.*
-
*You saw the ferry negotiate it's way out of the harbor and into the North Atlantic. You don't know a lot about piloting a boat, but even you would've entered the choppy seas at a different angle...* *Several people check for the object that hit the floor but nothing is found...*

Settle down dudes and ladies. I don't even see anything on the floor. You know? Nothing there...

Sorry to hear about your loss. Welcome back! There you go. -

It will move this slowly until January. With holidays and travel, I need to give everybody a chance to play. For now, you are building character and relationships and I'm very pleased with the way it is going. This is why it's difficult to add new players to a roster. You never know who will flake out on you. I do hope everything is OK with Snake and that he is absent for mundane reasons... -
The ferry boat hits a rough patch of sea and is momentarily thrown off course, jostling the bus. The weapons locker slams open. Fred stands quickly to secure it, but not before something falls out and rolls towards the back of the bus...

What was that grumbly noise? Did the old man fart again?
